Turn off showroom mode on Bosch B36CL80SNS French-Door Refrigerator

- I was fortunate to get a great deal on a brand new 2019 Bosch French Door refrigerator. BUT, it was in showroom mode (demo mode), and there were no resources anywhere telling how to reset it! Not in the user manual, no repair manual (for a brand new product) hiding in the dark corners of the internet, and no UA-cam video.
Bosch telephone tech support found the answer for me - but even they had some trouble finding the information. So, for anyone else with this problem, I found the secret, easy way to turn it off, and will show you here.
If you refrigerator looks "alive," all lit up but not cooling, it might be in showroom mode, and hopefully this will help you. - Навчання та стиль

I had the same issue when I bought my brand new Bosch from the store clearance deal, and it was in demo mode. I just followed your instructions and it get fixed after rset my fridge. Very useful information. I really appreciate it.

There was a couple of things missing in a tutorial... Vacation button must be pushed in order to get the lock to unlock .Bosh has a tutorial or no online you can download now... Pain in the butt but so worth it... That being said thank you so much for the heads up. We didn't know what was going on.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this video. We ordered a brand new Bosch fridge in early February but it is currently on backorder until May (or so we're told) so we ended up taking the floor model at our local Lowe's. The delivery guys were in a bad mood and couldn't figure out how to get it to work. If not for your video we would still be trying to figure out what went wrong. So very helpful!

@@chrisginoc We absolutely LOVE the fridge. It is worth the wait! It fits seamlessly into our space and looks more built-in than other counter-depths. The ice maker in the freezer drawer is conveniently located and the design - particularly the large shelves in both doors - provides ample space for everything we need. It's a sleek looking appliance and is perfect for the two of us. I'm a gourmet cook who is constantly using fresh produce, etc., and this has more than enough space. I did read a few reviews about noise but I haven't experienced any of those issues. Best of all, it really stays clean - no issues with smudges, etc. A simple wipe with Windex works perfectly to keep it shiny. And we love the flat doors. I highly recommend the Bosch fridge!

Correct me if Im wrong, but I think the main difference between the SNS model in this video and the ENS model that you described having is the exterior handles vs no exterior handles, correct? I ordered the one with no exterior handles. Yeah we have to wait until June 10th-20th for delivery. Hope it's worth every minute.

How is it possible that this is the only bit of information on the web that tells you this?! I tried to also make a video but for some reason it took me a couple of tries to reset the fridge. But seriously, thank you for this video! Bought my fridge off the floor at a Home Depot.

It's actually always explained in all user manuals, how to deactivate the showroom/demo mode. But maybe a bit "hidden" in the troubleshooting chapter, since these showroom appliances are more rare, than those directly from the factory. A bit tricky... but I am glad, it worked out in the end :)

Oh my gosh thank you SO much!!!! We bought a display model of the same exact fridge, plugged it in and could not figure out how to get it off showroom mode. Tried to follow the instructions in the manual for resetting the fridge and it did nothing. Followed your instructions and it worked perfectly!

Thanks! The menu book says to hold the “MENU” button instead of the “ALARM OFF” red button after turning on which I tried and it didn’t work. I will try your way tomorrow!

How has this fridge been?
Wonderful! I'm so happy with it. Do be aware that you need a couple extra inches if it's up against a side wall - when the door is open, it is wider.
How do you get rid of that annoying beeping sound when the doors open?
Not sure. But I have noticed that it seems to adapt to your normal habits - it beeps much less now than when I first bought it.
