Double check that it will work for your bike! this is NOT our ebay, however if you have got a DR200 this is probably what you are looking for!
Hey guys! This series is called “Mods That Matter”. Too frequently we see people modifying bikes with pointless, purely cosmetic mods that do little to increase performance and thus are mostly there for the aesthetic or having the brand name on the side of the bike. Thats fine and all if thats what you want but we wanted to highlight modifications you can make to your motorcycle that ACTUALLY matter.
In this episode we are highlighting the front sprocket change wherein we are decreasing the amount of teeth on the front sprocket.
Although this decreases top speed, it increases acceleration, which, when you are doing tight turns and frequently staying below 50-60 mph, and want to get back up to speed, its the perfect mod, and best of all its a $12 modification THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS!
So, Subscribe to see more “Mods That Matter” along with some other awesome Motorcycle centered content!

I went the other route and went to a 16 tooth for highway cruising. Made a noticeable difference, feels like I got a sixth gear and took vibration out of the handle bars at 55

For sure, that is a good upgrade if you are doing a lot of cruising on highways where top speed and comfortable is more important than acceleration!
That is a great note though, I am going to pin your comment.
But for dirt bikes its good since you aren't really going for smooth rides and long stretches of open road :)

@@boixx6687 I didn’t touch the wheel sprocket, only changed the countershaft sprocket to 16 tooth. I got it from Dennis Kirk. parts and accessories. Took about 15 minutes to swap it out and if I remember right, it cost less than $20 for the sprocket.

@@boixx6687 are you looking for one with more teeth like Jim Steele did, or looking for less teeth like we did in the video?
