Your reasoning for the gleeoks being low just doesn’t make sense to me … “You can only resist one element so you just need to tank the other two” or maybe do the actual fight and learn how to avoid the attacks instead of complaining you need to tank them? The grounded lasers, flying lasers, and explosive attacks all have methods that can be used to actually dodge them if you take the time to learn. The grounded lasers track you slowly enough that you can easily run just by moving to the side. The aerial lasers track much better but the gleeok isn’t pushing you with its wings, so you can run towards and under it to cut them off. The explosions you just need to look and at and avoid like any other attack. The gleeok also does a tail swipe if you manage to get behind it as it’s firing the lasers (this can be accomplished by gliding over its wing pushback) which you can flurry rush. And then the big final attack has a different method to dodge for each element. So yes every move the gleeok has is very much avoidable if you take the time to learn them, you don’t need to “tank hits” (getting hit accidentally is inevitable ofc, that’s part of most bosses tho. The only difference with gleeoks is they do a lot of damage, they should, they’re an optional end game boss.) the fact you can choose to cheese them with bullet time doesn’t make the fight bad, cheesy strategies exist for every boss in the game. It is probably the fastest method for taking them out, and by far the easiest. But not nearly as fun or rewarding as learning how to fight the boss properly, at least for me. I mean if you want to cheese the boss that’s fine but the method you say isn’t even really that good, rocket shields are kind of annoying to get a ton of to use that strategy. Just fusing keese eyeballs to a triple shot bow is a much better way to cheese the fight, it doesn’t even require you to use bullet time (and it can be even easier if you do, which is easily accomplished as most gleeoks have either pillars or cliffs around their arena.) Which by the way the gleeok arenas are pretty much all designed around giving you ways to enter bullet time, allowing for a way to get shots on all 3 heads even without needing to use a rocket shield. It’s needing to use the arena smartly (ie running over to the pillar or edge of a cliff while also avoiding attacks) in order to enter bullet time that makes the fight interesting and challenging. If you want to skip all that and spam rocket shields, I mean that’s fine, it’s an intentional tool the devs gave you. But I think engaging with the fight more makes it much more fun (or maybe people who find the fight fun will be more inclined to engage with it more, it’s sort of a chicken or egg situation). The final thing and weirdest complaint to me is about how hard king gleeoks are to reach… like they’re an end game boss why would they be easy to get to? You don’t want new players easily stumbling on something that’s much harder than a regular gleeok (which is already a challenge.) and I mean if you have enough rockets to cheese the fight with rocket shields, you should also have more than enough to get to the king gleeok in the first place, so… The hebra and Gerudo gleeoks aren’t even that far out of the way, there are other very high up sky islands nearby them. The only one that’s especially difficult to get to is the necluda one.
For the Construct Factory/ Spirit Temple, I see that the devs were trying to integrate a "dungeon" that can be stumbled upon easily in the overworld (a quality that I expected of botw before it revealed its unremarkable Divine Beasts), but frankly, it just should have been like the other dungeons with its own map rather than being separated into 4 small buildings.
Also the complaints about the gleeok are just wrong. You guys know armor and effects are a thing right? You can negate both the frost and lightning. Plus acting like the royal guard bow and rocket shields is the only viable way to fight is just wrong. Lynel bow, Keese eyes, any flying device/springs, or just recalling the ice meteors. Y’all gotta play test bosses more
the gleeoks are pain but are still my #2 boss in the game due to the sheer scale, design, and how difficult they are to beat if you aren’t lame and cheese it
Idk how anyone can like Mucktorok I personally dispise it and think its the worst boss in the game Also there's a Queen Gibdo in the depths enjoy that pain
Stalnoxs eye-health is actually relative to how much health the body had before the eye gets launched out. So if you hit the eye out early it will take more hits to kill vs taking down most of the boss health while still in its body. Then when the eye is out (because it retains 1 hp if you dont shoot the eye out) it will die in 1 hit the game having programmed its healthbar that way.
I found Moragia to be really easy and underwhelming. Surprided you put it above the final boss. At least with ganondorf you actually have to try instead of pressing a single button like in the Moragia fight.
Here's my own ranking excluding the mini bosses : number 8 : All of master Kohga encounters : The first encounter is uninteresting, the second one is annoying and the third one is forgettable. The 4th encounter is kind of cool tough. number 7 : Marbled Gohma : I didn't find this boss to be too easy or hard but rather bland : He has two rock bomb attacks that are basically the same and you can actually defeat it without Yunobo if you direct the bombs toward it to stun it with ultrahand. number 6 : Seized Construct : The boss itself is okay, the concept is cool but the way Mineru's golem works here makes the fight a bit annoying sometimes. number 5 : Colgera : the fight is pretty cinematic but pretty easy also, which is why it isn't any higher. number 4 : Mucktorock : People seems to dislike this boss, but I think this fight is actually pretty decent, the second phase can get pretty annoying however with all the goop that slows you down. number 3 : Queen Gibdo : This fight is pretty challenging and makes great use of Riju's thunder ability, already a power that is pretty satisfying to use. number 2 : Phantom Ganon : You know what is better than one phantom Ganon ? How about FIVE of them ? This is a really challenging battle with a great atmosphere. number 1 : Ganondorf : This battle is awesome, it has a great build up, a great atmosphere and music, and the battle itself is just excellent and really satisfying to beat. The only issue I have with this fight is the third phase of the battle that is way too easy. But aside from that, this is my favorite boss in the Zelda series, no contest. That's all for the ranking, what did you think of it ? Also for those who saw this ranking, be sure to share me your own ranking.
the thing that made colgera my favorite zelda boss for me was that I didn't even think to use my arrows and just skydiver straight through its week spots.
5:19 it suffered inflation due to silver enemies always dropping gems making you always have them in the late game and basically was giving you no more worries about money so it had inflation all due to link
That's actually what I did on my first playthrough. I shot an arrow at his face and when Tulin said that does no damage and I saw the weak points from high up I just decided to divebomb and it worked. Way cooler than using arrows plus you get to hear the soundtrack longer, which is easily my favorite ost in the game.
Colgera really did feel like a shadow of colossus boss just thrown into my Zelda game, which is awesome considering the quality of that game. I found most of the dungeon bosses to be fun and close to the original games with your companions essentially being a dungeon item. The only one I didn't like was the dirty squid because he just became way too easy to stunlock. Gohma was probably my favorite fight just because of how satisfying it was to blow it's legs off and attack that giant eye.
How can you complain about the final boss fight being “too long”? I wish it was longer (that’s what she said). I would’ve been so pissed if that fight ended too quickly, like Calamity Ganon. Three phases that progressively become more challenging is perfect.
Cool video, Guys! It's great to see that Tears of the Kingdom did a better job with the bosses than BotW. The Flux Construct kind of reminds me of Seven Force from Gunstar Heroes, with the different forms it takes for each phase. Similarly, the way you fight Colgera in mid-air is reminiscent of the Gyorg Pair from The Minish Cap. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your future uploads!
how do you mistake zelda for farosh? did you not get the memories? also ganondorf had several more moves than phantom ganon. as well as fun gimmicks like his perfect dodge, deleting health, and looong health bar. weird oversight
Damn these bosses look sick :o! really surprised and impressed with the roster. Love seein' notable discrepancies between ur individual rankings, Phantom Ganon bein' a massive one ofc. Idk how practical it'd be for ya to do, but would be cool to hear from BOTH of u in cases like that, hear each of u give ur experience / argue ur case so to speak, feel like I missed out on hearin' why it's Alex's fave. So ayo Alex, wai Phantom Ganon #1 for u?
Anybody else noticed that the final fight with koga ended with him being shot into the stars? It's weird because that He shoots up out of does not lead directly to the sky. It's under a little bit of land and the only way to get to it is beside it rather than above it
The flux construct reminds me a bit of the trolls from God of War 4 where there's a lot of them but they're just a very well designed fight that never really gets annoying. That being said I think the Flux Constructs are leaps and bounds better than the trolls simply because the fights last half the time.
Did you know that you can just swing at koga's construct with any weapon to knock it back? It just takes longer. I think blunt weapons would push him faster. Just saying incase people think you need to at least shoot him with a bow. I fought him before I got the construct.
While I’m glad y’all put the gleeoks low cause I fucking hate them (primarily due to how much you have to rely on cheesing and the areas you fight them in not being built for them or just sucking) i feel like the criticism for the king is kinda dumb. Y’all realize that like every boss you’re supposed to memorize and attack pattern right? All gleeok attacks are avoidable, especially in the king arenas.
He is and frankly, he should be #2 (I’m biased cuz I love colgera). It’s just that a horse kicked these guys in the head when they were kids so most of this video is messed up
Colgera is my least favorite boss. I bet using strictly arrows would make it fun but being able to just crash down on the ice makes it way too easy and doesnt even feel like a boss, more so a cutscene

I ran out of arrows half way through Colgera. Using the dive mechanic offensively was amazing.

when the thing you are doing for a long time is super repetitive it begins to grate

Exactly
This sounded like 2 children talking about how broken the game is. If you suck at fighting Gleoks that’s your fault not the games.
sorry sir it wont happen again
Dude, you just take a controller head with 8 lasers on it and attach it to your boat. That makes this the funnest fight.
your roast of yunobo had me legitimately laughing out loud
