- Building and restoration an AE86 racecar to perfection and showroom finish.
It's allways been my dream, to build a racecar from scratch. The planes are to race some trackdays and hillclimbs.
I'm searching and collecting rare parts, and the next project are to build a smallport race engine for it.
Enjoy the video and feel free to comment. - Авто та транспорт

Very impressive work,as good as and if not better than anything coming out of a professional restoration garage! You score a perfect 10/10!
Thanks man :-)
80% of the average persons have no idea how involved this project is. Much respect from America
Excellent build video
Thanks :-)
日本車を大切に乗っているのを見るとうれしく感じる😊
One of the best body works, I have ever witnessed!!!
Thank you mate :-)
Great build, the only suggestion I would make for safety reasons is add a taxi bar between the roll cage just behind the seats, just the window height, this is for two reasons, 1. if you get hit from behind the seats wont crash backwards if the brackets break , 2. attach your seat belts to this bar as in a crash the shorter the straps the less they stretch. Just a thought, once again very nice build. Cheers
Thats actually a great idea. And thanks mate
Great progress! Cheered out loud when I saw Super white II. Best white ever.
Jim Mills Actually I think every other color is wrong 😂

This is insane, you took the entire thing apart bits by bits and still cleaned it up so good and able to put it back together like new. That's impressive.

Wow, A white 86 track car that's NOT being made into a shoddy Initial D replica. You deserved the like just for that. :).
Great work there too. Looks stunning.
Thanks mate, I think white is the only right color for a 86 :-)
Well done! Cheers from Morocco

Koco Mercado Thank you 😊
Awesome!
i want to do something like this in a Toyota KE70 or Daihatsu Charmant someday.
What a build mate😍😍
Very nice job, grat....
nice car bro
want to do something similar to my S13 200SX
very nice race ae86😍
Very good working maximum respect. Look forward to your ITB's the best you can do! I drive a MX5 with ITB's i love it
Thanks :-) I got a MX5 too, se my new video :-) I had a plan to fit a set of Weber carbs, but now I have to sell the car. I imagine yours sound really great. Do you have a 1,6 or 1,8? and wich manifold and itb's are you using?
My MX5 is a 1.8, the manifold is from Jackson Racing, the exhaust system comes from Moss (Cobalt)
the ITB's 45mm are from Jenvey, the camshafts are from CatCam
How does it rev, compared with the 1,6?
Love it! If I ever get an ae86 in my life I would probably do this, I’d get a Trueno though
Rax Thecarguy Do it now, in few years they will be expensive 😉😋
Beautiful rebuild bud. :)
Wanna what one thing is that I miss from old toyota? Blue interiors. They look really nice. Not quite black. But not a bright blue either. The navy is just perfect
Very Good!
looks great man. cat wait to see it running strong.
Me too, but quality takes time and BIG money ;-)
meow

Amazing work, really nicely done :D!
Thanks you :-)
you should convert it to a trueno, as popup headlights are bae xd
wow! just avesome
Super fed video
Glad this was in my recommend
Amazing
You are good and hard worker
Panda color would of been nice, but that white is very good! Have you thought of sharing this with any car magazines? The level of detail is very good & they would appreciate it! Thank you for sharing a great project, and hope to see it running soon :)
I had though about the panda colors, but I don't think it screams racecar i that color scheme. Talked to my painter, and he recommended this Super White II with clearcoat.
When the cars are ready to run, I have plans to contact some magazines :-)
verygood!
I gotta know. Does adding independent rear suspension change drift handeling for better or for worse?
amazing
daam thats some nice work i wish i had the money, time and more importend the skill to do the same thing
i really love this car in my future i want to make car like you
great!
Awesome, I would love to see a video of it running
Thanks :-) I will make a video as soon as it run
i reckon the next big thing you should do is an independent rear suspension conversion, a lot of guys do it in the old corollas using nissan S13 rear subframes. It would be great for a track/hillclimb car
Yes it could be nice, but if the car should race in any class here in Denmark, this conversion are not allowed. And it could never drive on the road either.
Ah fair enough. The Regs are the same here in Malaysia. Would be awesome for an unlimited class kind of build
I actually think to build it to Historic homologation, but I think it will be pretty difficult.
great job man🖒 . i wish i can do the same to my ae86😪
Thanks man :-)
Patience are the key to succes, just try it out
at least you have ae86 😢😢😢
Great work. Can you please tell me your opinion about the steering column conversion..does it work properly and any mishaps with it.
Not yet, the car is'nt running yet :-(
Mmm Levin Hatch, my favorite.
Level of patience : god !!!
Utrolig flot arbejde - tak for kigget!
Takker :-)
Some really nice Corolla coupes thete
I wish my ae86 would be like yours
That is some excessive spot welding you did there in my opinion. Hopefully you're not going to race it all the time since you did such a nice job restoring it. Otherwise, if you track constantly, I would say the body would last about 1, maybe 2 years before it starts to warp. About 15 years ago, I helped a friend build his 86 but we decided on a 3S instead of 4A. Since then, he's blown the engine so now he has a Frankenstein engine which is a mix of a 4AGE and 7AFE. I'm getting all nostalgic now. Anyway, take care of that car. looks great!
The spot welding strengthen the body and the roll cage are not just for safety, it also strengthen the body when mounted like I did. But no, I will not race it, only same trackdays and hillclimb for fun :-) A 7A-GE can be pretty powerfull, so not a bad choice :-)
when you took it to the track it got me to watch the whole video :D edit: i subed
素晴らしい!
yeah I could do that to my AE86 to great job
nice video, feel glad you safe the AE86, it could be great if this video shows the final engine as well
Well, the engine are not build yet, but great news are that I planned to start in the next few months.
what donk you intend to use?
www.todaracingusa.com/catalog/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=187 maybe this can be a reference. Great project!
