I encourage my students to do minimun 20 minutes every day of specific disciplined exercises. I tell them that thery may start to noticE some real differences after four years and even then I would never guarantee any change in anything, just that overall there will be tremendous benefits, but who is to say what those benefits will be exactly. Here is the deal: I watched your video with GREAT SKEPTICISM. This morning I went to donate blood. They got my blood pressure that was 166 over 110. They didn’t want to take my blood! So I told them give me 5 minutes of time to meditate and do the test again. They came back 3.5 minutes later and ran the test, as I was following your breathing technique. The new reading was 136 over 95!!! I’m amazed and THANKS for great video.

Anxiety or White coat syndrome as some call it can be the problem. Just an a general anxiety disorder can cause it to rise in doctors office. The blood pressure meds are worthless as some have stated and the side effects are crazy. Monitor it at home when your relaxed, alone and calm, vs in the office or when your stressed. Doctors are way too stupid and busy to figure it out and you get to sample like 10 meds to find they won't work. Breathing and mindfulness are fine and dandy but a trip to Mexico or street doctor can lower your blood pressure for real and treat your anxiety which American doctors will not treat nor know how to treat.

Well that actually worked! My BP was 144/85 pulse 73. After the 5 minutes deep breathing, it was 135/88, pulse 74. Let's just put that into perspective, my BP is always sky high at the Dr's! It was so high 5 days ago, that they immediately gave me an infusion to bring it down! It was 195/106! It came down to 175/106 after the infusion, so not much, but ok. I hate going to drs & hospitals, so I guess that's why. So I was told to get a bp monitor and monitor my bp daily, 3 x a day. That scared the bujeebus out of me! Now I have to see the numbers daily?! 3 x a day??!! My son made me face it, so I did. My bp slowly went down every day, and now I'm in the "OK" range, it says on the monitor. Not in green yet, but ok. I've been doing EFT tapping, visualization, meditation, BP tea, Lemon+ginger+garlic hot toddy, and relaxation, and now I am definitely adding this one to my therapy regime! And I will especially apply it at my next Drs visit, next week, before they take my BP!

I developed this issue a few years ago. The anxiety is not just at the doctor's office...its whenever I have to take it...even at home. I took my pressure early this morning. Anxiety high... 133/100. I waited about 30 minutes and then completed your breathing technique and it went down to 107/79. I can honestly say... for the past 3 years...my doctor have overprescribed my BP medication. Not only does my anxiety rise when I am at the doctor...so does my anger. I no longer trust my doctor (Kaiser) .

Trust Almighty God instead and have faith in yourself .There is no cure for blood pressure in allopathic medicines. Continuous use of these medicines will have harmful side effects on your body. Change your lifestyle. Live disciplined life, take diet which is absolutely natural. Use Himalayan pink salt instead of man made table salt. Eat healthy food such as fresh fruits and vegetables including good sources of protein as well. Proper sleep and rest are very much essential. Physical exercise, yoga, meditation etc will help you to come out from this problem. Stress, worry, tension and fear of any kind should be kept away from the mind. Don't think much about any kind of diseases. May Almighty God bless you always with good health, happiness and long peaceful life.

Before ever seeing this video, I have done this several times and it definitely works. When using one of those public BP machines, I have done exactly as the Doctor describes and in less than one minute, the reading is in a much better range. As he experienced, I tried to tell someone who takes meds for high BP, but they would not even consider the thought of eliminating their MEDS! When so many people have that mentality, the pharmaceutical companies are assured to continue to make BILLIONS!

  • @richardanderson8696

It worked! Despite being relaxed, though maybe slighly anxious about stuff, I was getting around 140/80 - repeatedly. I've been getting even higher readings sometimes too recently.
I tried big, slow, deep breaths, really feeling my lungs filling then emptying, for a few minutes, and I got 116/78 - which for me is brilliant.
Really goes to show how we can still have some immediate positive influence over something like blood pressure, and (for me) it highlights how sustained stress and my psychological response to it are something to urgently focus on (as well as orher lifestyle changes).

When I was about 30, I hadn't eaten lunch and stopped on the way to the Doc and grabbed an OJ and 5 of those hard stick pretzels, munching them down on the way to the appointment. I had a high reading which concerned the Doc enough to give me a BP reader to take home. Next few days it was normal, but on my next visit it was high again. That's when I learned about "white coat" syndrome and for the next 25 years or so, I would go to the Doc, get a high reading, we'd chat, relax and than the reading was better.
As I got older, I started pressing it, trying to force the calm on with long steady breaths but not pushing on the exhale. I works.... but then again it should. As an engineer, thinking like the body is a machine .... when the body needs more oxygen, the heart will respond by pushing more blood , no ? With the breathing, you are basically filling your bloodstream with oxygen, which should make the heart beat slower. Having taught fluid mechanics... less flow = less friction = less pressure.

I’m going to tell you about five common ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen that can cure high blood pressure. ⏩ 1) Quercetin - A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has reported that a 200 mg supplement of quercetin increased levels of nitric acid in the blood, thus dilating blood vessels and lowering blood pressure. But we saved the best for last.⏩ 2) Celery - A recent study based in China, published by the National Institute of Health (NIH), hails celery as a great natural option for reducing blood pressure. More than 87% of the participants showed a reduction in blood pressure after consuming celery regularly.⏩ 3) Melatonin - It’s been used for years as a natural sleeping medicine with no side effects. But surprisingly, an Italian research study published in the American Journal of Hypertension shows it also brings blood pressure down while you sleep. ⏩ 4) Hawthorn - Hawthorn extract and hawthorn berries have been shown to have very good blood pressure-lowering effects, almost equivalent to prescription drugs. The best thing about hawthorn is that it not only lowers blood pressure, but also strengthens heart muscles.⏩ 5) Pomegranate juice - This elixir has enough medicinal value to earn the name ‘wonder fruit.’ Scottish researchers from Queen Margaret University have identified how amazing it works for lowering blood pressure. The most effective, quickest and easiest way to lower blood pressure naturally are 3 easy blood pressure exercises.
