The dalatrass's attitude really does beg the question of how necessary the genophage actually was, and how much of it was the Salarians simply wanting to bring the Krogans to heel. Not saying the old Krogans didn't need to pump the breaks with their desire for war, but this gives the feeling they simply asked for some planets in exchange for SAVING the galaxy, and the Salarians started shouting that the Krogan were going to overrun the galaxy instead when that wasn't the case, and used that as a pretense for virus bombing the race back to the stone age.
One thing I really loved about these games is how no one race was generalized. Yes there were Humans and Turians who hated each other because of the First Contact War (and to an extend their reasons are understandable), but there were just as many who moved past it. Same with regards to the Krogan and their issues. It really made the characters feel like living people with their own opinions and feelings.

Damn, Dalatrass is one anti-Krogen bitch, I trust Wrex (more then Wrev.)
The hard truth is that the Dalatrass is right in a sense. All it takes to realize that is to not have Wrex around, because that leaves you with Wreav, the perfect argument against curing the Genophage when you realize he's a better representation of the majority of Krogan people than Wrex could ever be.
What is funny about the krogan is that they live so long. Some of them remember the war with the council. Their parents were uplifted. So for them they are definitely justified to be pissed.
That's the problem with the Salarian race, they're unable to think in a long term and see the big picture. This asshole of a Dalatrass is saying that uplifting the Krogan was a mistake, when they're trying to do the same with the Yagh, a race far worse than the Krogan.
Wrex is a very straightforward character in the game, as is the Primarch because they both understand things from a soldier's point of view. Earning their trust by being honest and forward will (did) help more in the long run than playing politician while worlds burned. While helping the Krogan is a bonus, it's true I'm mostly doing this to get their help. But hey, if you have two problems that can't be fixed alone, why not let them fix each other?
That would only happen if adolescent temperaments were in charge of ME3...which, in all honesty, wasn't that far off based on how the script was written.

@@rebel1717 You can make decent looking custom Sheps if you're willing to put in the effort (Especially if you're on PC, since you have access to mods).
@@SoupSultan i only ever managed to make my custom Shepard look good in ME3. In others it always looked strange.
@@erieriderschillingcorner1595 Yea, femshep has always been easier then dudeshep. I think I had to restart ME3 around 5 or 6 times before I got one that looked like a human.
@@SoupSultan
I don’t care whether mine looked human I just wanted shiny pink hair
Which I got
The dalatrass's attitude really does beg the question of how necessary the genophage actually was, and how much of it was the Salarians simply wanting to bring the Krogans to heel. Not saying the old Krogans didn't need to pump the breaks with their desire for war, but this gives the feeling they simply asked for some planets in exchange for SAVING the galaxy, and the Salarians started shouting that the Krogan were going to overrun the galaxy instead when that wasn't the case, and used that as a pretense for virus bombing the race back to the stone age.
3:50 this is why you play the default sheppard.
1:47 back then it may have been like that. But Wrex is making them evolve.
The hard truth is that the Dalatrass is right in a sense. All it takes to realize that is to not have Wrex around, because that leaves you with Wreav, the perfect argument against curing the Genophage when you realize he's a better representation of the majority of Krogan people than Wrex could ever be.
But we’d have Eve. Nihilism is bs
And this is exactly why we save Wrex and Eve, so they can whip the clans into shape and curb their self-destructive behaviour.
And even then it'd be pretty naive, even on Wrex's part, to keep over 10 planets worth of Krogan in check.
@@williamkerfoot8039 If you think Wrex won't be able to personally headbutt every goddamn krogan on all 10+ planets to make his point... think again.
@@AldorEricsson That's a joke. But you knew that of course.
"A bully has few friends when he needs them most."
Me, with every fleet at the end: Are you sure about that?
Years go by and I still find new options for conversations.
At the end I really wanted Shepard to have one more witty comeback, like:
"And she who thinks only of herself dies by herself."
Well when a bully has the the turian and the krogan races with them I think they got plenty of friends
She really walked right back in to tell her off
4:12 i love this line. its most important now.
“A bully has few friends when he needs them the most.”
You would know.
Being occupied by krogan is preferable over being wiped out by reapers
What is funny about the krogan is that they live so long. Some of them remember the war with the council. Their parents were uplifted. So for them they are definitely justified to be pissed.
I never notice that Shepard rolls her eyes at Wrexs pontification when she walks in
too afraid of krogans she's forgetting the reapers are an immediate and deadlier threat
That's the problem with the Salarian race, they're unable to think in a long term and see the big picture. This asshole of a Dalatrass is saying that uplifting the Krogan was a mistake, when they're trying to do the same with the Yagh, a race far worse than the Krogan.
"A bully has few friends when he needs them most!"
"Yes. Yes, she does."
The Krogan/Salarian story is my favourite part of ME3. It's so goooood
The daletrass should listen to her own advice
Wrex is a very straightforward character in the game, as is the Primarch because they both understand things from a soldier's point of view. Earning their trust by being honest and forward will (did) help more in the long run than playing politician while worlds burned.
While helping the Krogan is a bonus, it's true I'm mostly doing this to get their help. But hey, if you have two problems that can't be fixed alone, why not let them fix each other?
Is it just me, or does this Shepard look kinda like Sweet Dee from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? 3:24
"A bully has few friends when he needs them the most."
Should have been met with "Right, try to remember that".
auto played in the background and i genuinely thought it was a movie and i was deeply engrossed. holy shit
Thanks for this. I missed the quicktime trigger on this scene and didn't feel like playing back up to this on a previous save.
4:10 I swear to god I wish there was a Renegade button that had Shepard yell out "AND LOOK WHO'S STANDING ALONE!" as she walked away
And look how wrong she was because where were Wrex at the end of the game? Motivating his troops on earth to help reclaim it for humanity
That would only happen if adolescent temperaments were in charge of ME3...which, in all honesty, wasn't that far off based on how the script was written.
*SIGH* Yeah...I really need to get the Legendary Edition.
Never mind that I've played through all three games a thousand times to the point that I can just pull up nearly every scene in my head. Watching classic clips like this make me remember how much I loved this series.
the council of the four.
I thought shep was going to drop kick that salarian.
Shame there’s no option
Paraagon prompt: shepard:says the one standing by herself.
Dalatrass: I won't forget this commander!
Shepard: Stay mad.
Dalatrass: But I warned you commander! The consequences will come...
Shepard: Will be NOTHING compared to what happens if the Reapers win.
" a bully has few friend when he needs them most" said the lone dalatrass as the scene faded to black
Shaperd turns back and says is that why you're alone
I don't think I've ever had a playthrough where I play nice with the Dalatrass
Not even when Wreav is in the same room?!
The Delatrass is worried about the future, but without the krogan, there won't _be_ a future to worry about.
Wrex's face when he demands a cure for the genophage. XD
Before Shepard leaves, I wish they would say something like "Lieutenant Vega, see to it that this sorry excuse for a Salarian gets her petty ass off my ship."
Man Shepard was one most powerful and influential man in galaxy he own one to every top level politician in the galaxy.
It's so satisfying to see the Dalatras get owned with the truth, then have it rubbed in her face when the turian primarch agrees with a human and a krogan.
4:10 And yet, you wonder why everyone is against you here.
You can choose whether to save him at the beginning of Mass Effect 2.
3:54
Me and the boys when we walk in the Afterlife
The stupidest part of all of it is that Dalatrass doesn't even acknowledge that the Reapers will kill everyone if they don't cure genophage
Simplistic diplomacy.
I’ll always stick up for my man Wrex who are you to judge me Dalatrass?
You have a point since he's more interested in reclaiming former Krogan glory, but I guess I'll have to try it and see if he does or not.
i like wrex's dramatic pause ... a cure for the genophage- dun dun dunnn... wait,
DRAMATIC ZOOM-IN!
I really hate that even if you agree with the genophage, Shepard's dialogue flip flops between supportive and unsupportive regardless of your choice.
Actually, the Rachni were being mind-controlled by Sovereign, under normal circumstances they‘re not mindless killers, either.
Leviathan DLC suggest that the Rachni was actually mind-controlled by the leviathans.
Daniel what why?
@@raylast3873 I remember that in the lab, Ann Bryson suggest that the lack of any sign of indoctrination means that the Rachni wasn't actually controled by Nazara, but by someone else. Shepard (or EDI) suggest the Leviathans.
@@varric No it was the Reapers.
indeed which is why I always choose to tell them about the deal the Dalatrass tried to broker with you, as while you can save Mordin and have him help you with the Crucible, Wrex/Wreav does later find out meaning you have to kill him.
I wish Wrex was able to headbutt the Dalatross for disrespecting him and the krogan like that
i can totally imagine the krogan/ salarian infiltrator with a camera hiding his identify by wearing an over coat and eyeglass mask
Nakmor Drack was absolutely right when he said that the salarians and the kett are exactly the same.
Salarian kidney is best consumed raw.
You are correct. İt was a a delicacy in my cycle
The Turian has the voice of Beerus from DBZ
I was really hoping the renegade interrupt at the end was going to involve shooting the dalatrass.
Even she doesn't deserve that.
