Without dragging up real-life politics, I think the story of the Krogan is very relatable. Eve relates that the ruins of Tachanka was their own doing, not the salarians. By letting their population grow beyond what their world could support and letting technology make their lives too easy, they turned to new challenges in each other, making nuclear war unavoidable. I really hope humanity doesn't follow that same path.

Do you ever think that the newer game or some form of future of the franchise is going to have Salarians no longer a member of the council all because Dalatrass didn't want to help even if it meant you know the Extinction of sentient race, including her own in the galaxy

Now that I think about it, Wrex is under unimaginable pressure here. He is off world not being able to keep an eye on his infamously unruly species. He desperately wants to cure the sterility plague that is exterminating his entire race and yet needs to trust and rely on the very species that created and used the plague. His implied former lover is just about the only hope for said cure and is in poor health AND he has to do all this while racing against the reapers that are about to invade his home planet. Can't blame him for being a bit testy.

This game did a horrendous job (particularly as an RPG) if you believe in the pros of the genophage. You can't even debate it with anybody! There honestly should've been an option in the dialogue wheel along the lines of "Let's discuss other options" after Linron says that the genophage is non-negotiable! Honestly, this game feels more like an anti-RPG than anything else!

No one mentioned thay if you talk to Garrus before this cutscene, he says something along the lines of "I hear Krogan like scars, heres hoping they dont pawn me off for a marraige to seal the deal." Then like 30 seconds later Mordin is trying to get Eve to mate with Garus. I dont care what people say this game is fantastic

I like how no matter how old and wise, a Krogan will me mistrusting a Salarian's intentions. Salarians think faster, scheme faster, and act faster, even if Krogans are stronger, they take more time to consider all possibilities, so it makes sense that they will be apprehensive of Salarians like that, even without considering their shared history

Before Shepard leaves, I wish they would say something like "Lieutenant Vega, see to it that this sorry excuse for a Salarian gets her petty ass off my ship."

Salarians was like the most trash species in OT mass effect universe, like man.. species with the lowest maximum war asset, barely helping the crucible project, and also the weakest species compared to human, turian, and asari.... krogan? Hah, they will be crushed like an elephant stepped on an ant

BioWare was smart to add Eve, if you weren’t sold on a good Krogan future then now you are. Wrex seemed like a good person who’d keep them in line, but Eve makes you hope for a good future for their kind.

I put Captain Kirahee on equal footing with Shepherd. He’s got the Charisma to make speeches as impactful as Shep, knows how to lead STG just as Shep does with The Normandy, had his own version of a Suicide Mission on Virmire, and will make sacrifices if necessary.

Probably one of the most stupidest characters in the trilogy. She cries about the danger krogans pose, yet WE KNOW THEY WANT TO UPLIFT FUCKING YAHGS.

This is why I like picking Fem shep. It makes moments like this seem more impactful, and Grunt is like Her child. Even when she says “I love you grunt.” That definitely got to me.

One thing I really loved about these games is how no one race was generalized. Yes there were Humans and Turians who hated each other because of the First Contact War (and to an extend their reasons are understandable), but there were just as many who moved past it. Same with regards to the Krogan and their issues. It really made the characters feel like living people with their own opinions and feelings.

When I first came across the Moon rogue VI revelation, it shocked the hell out of me. This is why I’m glad that I’m a completionist in Mass Effect.

The dalatrass's attitude really does beg the question of how necessary the genophage actually was, and how much of it was the Salarians simply wanting to bring the Krogans to heel. Not saying the old Krogans didn't need to pump the breaks with their desire for war, but this gives the feeling they simply asked for some planets in exchange for SAVING the galaxy, and the Salarians started shouting that the Krogan were going to overrun the galaxy instead when that wasn't the case, and used that as a pretense for virus bombing the race back to the stone age.
