#DeathMetal #PastorRob #Reaction
You worded your explanation and understanding of these lyrics with absolute perfection. It was truly an experience to hear you react to and summarize the meaning of the song in such a flawless way. Thank you so much for featuring me on your channel, and thank you both for your hard work and dedication to the true gospel! God bless.
You guys are awesome! Can’t wait for the release on Spotify!
God bless you guys!
Killed it man. Loving your new sound!!! Glad to see these guys promoting you!
Much love to you guys
It's always great to see Christian Metal that doesn't feel like a gimmick. Thanks for introducing me to this band and love the discussions!
Agreed. I appreciate how open-minded pastor Rob is.
Red is a definite must for your analysis. Hide by them is amazing, In Pieces is a personal favorite by them and would recommend it most and Already Over is good too. I may be forgetting plenty more but those are the ones that have stood out to me most by them. Hopefully you can get around to checking one of them out!
New song by Lorna Shore - To the Hellfire
Absolutely killer track! The rest of the EP and A Secret Ending's discography is incredible!
I love this man. Great artist
"Behold the Crown" or "Lost in the Static" by After the Burial (either will blow Pastor Rob’s mind) and "Deceiver" or "Out if Control" by The Ghost Inside
That drummer had some CHOPS. Loved how he was upfront in the mix, his double bass, and blast beats. What a solid song all around.
This is all one guy btw he is amazing
God bless you all!
Pepsi Man even made a comeback :D
I forgot that Pepsi Man was a thing.
The 3 things i look for most in metal:
1 dynamic screams/growls
2 liberal usage of double kick
3 drone sounds from guitars
Rob, where are the Slaughter to Prevail reactions? 😢
Would love to hear your takes on Cirice or He Is from Ghost.
This band is SOOOOO good!!!
Seriously so good.
No Ordinary Love by Memphis May Fire would be a great reaction, especially with the father/son allegory
True Believer
7 Seals by Testament
Wolves at the Gate - "Broken Bones" or "Chasing the Wind"!
You guys are awesome!
Pastor Rob. Awesome break down of the lyrics! May God continue to use you mightily brother!!!
Those highs sound like Cradle Of Filth! Pretty sweet. The symphonic sound is similar as well. I'd love to hear a reaction from those guys! You guys should react to The Noose by A Perfect Circle! ✌
I was just going to post the same thing and then saw your post . Totally agree .
Yup! Total Cradle of Filth.
Same! "Upvote" for "The Noose" as well.
I'm kinda surprised that you guys haven't reacted yet to The Lord is my Weapon or Filthee both of an amazing artist named Otep.
As Voddie Baucham says, "a dead man can't save himself"
You guys should a ready to “To the Hellfire” by Lorna Shore
Sic breakdowns. They reminded me of older Suicide Silence.
This song is awesome, keep up the good work ASE!
i recommend Freezing Moon by Mayhem (the studio album version), it is considered the most evil song in history, but really its pretty average it considered evil due to the bands very dark history during the 90s
here is the link to the song ua-cam.com/video/9emO9qo4FwE/v-deo.html
Imagine angels actually sounded like that lol.
Great content as usual guys, thank you!
That’s funny dude
You guys should check out HolyName - Fall On Your Knees Ft. Brook Reeves or HolyName - Meet Me Somewhere Quiet
Great discussion again, usual plug for Holy Water by The Classic Crime!
Pastor Rob, I don't align with your worldview but I bet we would have a lot in common on how mankind should be treated. In fact our views may be irreconcilable fundamentally. Regardless, I think it's awesome that you spread your message this way and I think it's a net positive on making the world better and bringing people together. It seems like you're the devout Christian that is the best example of how a Christian should be, which is a luxury many people (including most Christians) don't get to see unfortunately (as someone raised in it). Keep on spreading the good news; we will all make the world a better place.
P.S. Keep letting Guage dabble in the *bad music more, because much of it has a redeeming meaning that isn't obvious at first glance. He's done a stellar job to this point suggesting things, don't stifle that.
Wolves at the Gate-Broken Bones
Semi-pelagian, the calvinist's favorite ad hominem toward non-calvinists. Not that Pastor Rob does this 😁
This song is incredible 🤩
Great analysis too 👍
You guys need to check out “Into the Hellfire” by Lorna Shore. The song is brutal and I think it would create some great discussion for the channel.
Ha ha ha that song is brutal AF
Love this channel!
Would love a reaction to lamb of god, resurrection man.
Wish you both well
I've never heard of this particular band and this musical style is not really my cup of tea, but I'm always open to enhance my horizons...
Which brings me to the fact, that I've been never looking specifically for any christian rock/ metal bands, yet it immediately reminded me about this polish band (since I'm from Poland) from 1988 - 2003, called "Houk". Specifically, you may want to listen to songs like "Transmission Into Your Heart" or "Pieniądz" (the latter stands for "Money" and it's all in polish, but I can provide quick translation, if anyone is interested). Music itself is different (hard rock/metal), but thematically is similar, though much more straightforward. I could call it "christian Rage Against The Machine". Songs are from 1994, but they still kick major a$$ :D
Here are some links, if anybody is interested:

"Pieniądz"

Also, have you noticed, that there is a lot of artists, who are perceived as controversial, or even "racist", "satanic" et c., all the while their songs are conveying quite the opposite message to what is commonly believed? Just from the top of my head: Marylin Manson, "The Great Big White World", which has lines like
"I'm not attached to your world
Nothing heals and nothing grows
(...)
We used to love ourselves
We used to love one another"
And basically in every other song he points out, how people in a modern world have become numb to others, how they're lacking compassion, how others are treated in an instrumental way, instead of being, well, brothers and sisters, how it used to be. "User Friendly" from the same album is another great example of that. On a side note, if you've ever seen an interview with MM, where he drops his stage image, he's one of the most "down to earth" artists I know, and his opinions on things like marriage or family are almost conservatistic.
11:40 I'm not denying original sin. But then again, I know a lot of people, who consider themselves christians, they attend every mass at church, yet in a day-to -day life they acting often in a horrible and backstabbing ways. I myself consider myself a lousy christian, with A LOT of things about me to be improved. On the flipside, I also know people, who claim to be atheists, yet they live according to Bible teachings without even knowing that. They're kind, selfless and generally - you know - good. But, they are NOT going to be saved? They will be condemned just because they don't show up at church? I refuse to believe God would be THAT cruel. That would be just...unfair. But who am I to judge, right?
On an unrelated note, I also happen to be a huge fan of Dead Can Dance. You may want to react to something like "The Host Of Seraphim" ("The Serpent's Egg" album), which I consider to be the apex of everything DCD did (although I love all of their albums), though there's virtually no lyrics. Also, the whole "Within the Realm of a Dying Sun" album is something you CANNOT miss (and I'm speaking that as a fan of bands like "Tool", "Fear Factory" or "Nine Inch Nails"). Pieces like "Host Of Seraphim", "Summoning Of the Muse" or "Persephone" make you want to become a better man even without use of a single word. XD
Interesting and enjoyable video as always, cheers!
At 3:00 the triangle with the Hebrew lettering is, "YHVH" or Yahweh as most people know it now. Of course there's all kinds of interpretation on how it was pronounced, just thought it was cool to have it incorporated into the video.
Sweet a Christian metal band I haven't heard. Can you review American Love by Haste the Day?
👆🏻I support that comment
Hello sirs, I will make another attempt to get my request noticed. Please do Rapture by Hurt.
Y’all should listen to Behold the Crown by After the Burial.
Excellent. Still going at it Lorna Shore "Immortal"
God bless you guys. Love what you do. Would love to hear and see your reaction to Devin Townsend "Grace (the Retinal Circus)" official promo video. Devin and his wall of sound with an added church choir.....such an amazing song and video.
Patiently waiting for *Blood & Water* by Memphis May Fire and *Die For Me* by Alleviation 🙏🏻🤘🏻💪🏻
Please do Behemoth O Father O Satan O Sun I really want your take on Nergal and the production value of all of Behemoths videos.
You guys should try Cane Hill - The power of the high
Cattle Decapitation - Mammals of Babylon
Please react to "Corpus Christi" by Diamonds to Dust. Its INSANE
State of mine, could you do a review on the band?
Check out the newest track by this band, Hell Quakes and Pythian Spirit
You guys would really enjoy in the midst of lions.reborn and herods demise are just listens 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
And defiance. Too many songs to pick from 😂😂
Suggestion to react to (I, Despoiler) from the band (Ingested) hope you see it.
da cover is a lamb on a dead devil ,,,,, i think its pretty cool
You guys should do "Hell Chose Me" by Carnifex
Symphonic Blackened MeloDeath? I love this!
React to Renascent pastor Rob, they have a similar (a little heavier) sound, and their lyrics are wonderful, any song from their last album would be amazing...
Also Slechtvalk (I'm pretty sure I'm spelling it wrong) would be great, react to WE ARE
That's a great song, with great (really deep) lyrics that would be really sustantial for a video . (It's a Melodic Black Metal band... And considering you haven't listened to Christian Black Metal yet... It would be a great song to start with)
would love to hear you react to Ghost by Relent and Greater by The Protest!
Far - mother mary or Deftones - hexagram should be dually noted for future shows.
This song is nuuuuts!! I love it! One of my favorite Metal bands as of recent has been Shadow of Intent (very symphonic Deathcore), but to now to find a song that is a Christian version of what they do is absolutely awesome!
Honestly I get the period that Pastor Rob is in. I only used to listen metalcore and it was tough to listen to heavier ish. Not necessarily because I felt evil listening to it, but I was whoa that's very heavy. I'm still into metalcore but mannnn I'm definitely heavier now.
Honestly I think the metalcore genre for Christian music has also became the typical ccm. It's easy to get into. The heavier more underground stuff is rough, but more authentic. Which is why I'm thankful for bands like abr and silent planet. Not necessarily Christian bands, but has members that are Christian. They're authentic bands in the metalcore genre. Not saying they're the only one, but they're bands that don't slap thay Christian metal band label on them like the businesses that say praise the lord on their work trucks but at the heart are just not Godly at all.
You need to do the new Lorna Shore song to the hellfire!
I suggest Miracle By Rise Against!!
You guys need to hear the “Joshua” singles by The Weight Lifted. Phenomenal musicianship. Please add to the list 😂
Would love to see you react to Babylon A.d by Cradle of filth
Y’all should react to Godsmack- I stand alone
Or a band called ERRA
I have the perfect song for y’all to do! Let the Devil in by Green Lung
Could you guys do either “One Step Into Wonderland” by Freedom Call or “Highland Farewell” by Grave Digger?
Making my usual request for Bad Religion's Skyscraper. It would also be cool to see you guys react to Extol or Dead Blue Sky. But Skyscraper is still my main request 😜
Hey guys will u please please please do Christploitation by my favorite metal band Fear Factory!!! Ive asked many times before but I know u guys are busy. Please please. Just this one song. Have a blessed day fellas.
I have also asked for Fear Factory many times. There is no better drummer.
@@obsidianet cool. Plus they have many songs about religion so these guys could have at least 10 songs to react to. Maybe if we keep asking one day they will. Let me kno if theres anyone else u want to see react to them and ill go on the channel and ask. Ive gotten about 10 different channels to do fear factory. New album the 18th!!
@@ianwood9771 my favorite album is Demanufacture but I like when they review new bands they haven’t done yet.
Please react to Living Sacrifice bloodwork from The Hammering Process. Living Sacrifice is a thrash metal death metal metalcore band.
You have to react to David De La Hoz by The Chariot. They were such a wild and amazing christian band. Pure energy.
Hello, This lyrical style isn't my thing, but I can respect the talent that it takes to sing it. A while ago someone was talking about metal music (I believe specifically AC-DC) and said "I can't see how someone can be at peace listening to that." and I've been thinking about it a lot, people should have inner peace, shouldn't they? are you at inner peace while air-guitering and head-banging? I guess the Bible mentions praising God with clanging cymbals. anyway, Thanks for another video.
And I am once again suggesting the Metal Church song Watch the Children pray, I'd really love to listen to your insight on that.
I know its hiphop but Hopsins Ill mind 8 could be a cool one. its about Hopsin losing/pondering his faith. Im feeling Rob could have some nice insights to it
Pastor Rob needs to get up to speed on some older faith-based metal bands. This stuff has been a thing for a long time now, with stuff as early as 1988 with Vengeance Rising's debut, "Human Sacrifice", early Living Sacrifice albums, or early works by Australian band Mortification, particularly their 1st 3 albums. Would be interesting to see you guys react to some of that older stuff, in contrast and comparison to a newer song like this.
This band is hard to find any info on. Is their band camp & Instagram the only sites for them? What's the band's story? Where are they from? Do they play live?
Would you go Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton? Preferably the unplugged version. I lost my son back in 2017 and that was the first song I listened to after he had passed and the story behind it is very tragic.
Gotta check out hope for the dying at some point!
You guys should react to the songs “Vendetta” and “All hope is gone” by slipknot they’re both amazing songs and I think you guys would like them! Also Lorna Shore’s song “To the Hellfire”
Good song even better review.
Hey pastor Rob... ya know, i keep on going for back and forth on the doctrine of "original sin" I don't exactly know if I believe in it anymore.. because of Ezekiel chapter 18 verse 20 and Romans 4 verse 15 and Romans 5 verse 13.. it doesn't seem feasible to me, however the sin nature part of it does I affirmative that, that's biblical.
But doesn't the doctrine of original sin take it a bit further than mere "sin nature" when baptizing infants is considered? For any reply I would be very grateful
I humbly request Our Father - Prison
Sounds a lot like the direction the episcopal church is going...
Keep in mind that this is not an endorsement of the song, the artist, or the genre as a whole because I need to get that out of the way so I don't get attacked by a thousand angry holy rollers.
I would like to contiune to nominate WhiteChapel - Hickory Creek its a great song and a absolute must listen to to contiune to understand the story that the album The Valley is telling. AGins A Must Watch
Do you think you guys can react to Mental Cruelty's Ultima Hypocrita? The music video is one of the, if not the best music video I have ever seen. Would be perfect for your channel!
Pepsi man @2:30….lol
Check out the band Havok and their song dogmaniacal
Beggar by Rival Chior
You called it a symphonic breakdown.....that was pretty neat. I did like all the scripture as all the visuals. I'm not big into metal. The vocals weren't my thing but, it's gotta take talent. You guys gotta do some punk. Like Strung Out. They are metal too. Calling is a great song. Anything they do. I like that...."even an angelic voice can be used as evil". The greatest vail the devil pulled over our faces was pretending he didn't exist......me
Y’all need to react to Lorna Shore to the hellfire. They got a new vocalist and some of the nastiest (in a good way) vocals rn.
Great music. Disturbing message. Enjoyed the commentary.
This was a great one! Y’all should react to ‘Architects - Broken Cross’ pleaseeee.
Underoath- Act of Depression
love every video thank you for your words, I would really like to see your coment and view on "fake plastic trees by radiohead" its a great song
Please react to more Tool such as jambi 46&2 parabol/parabola and the grudge
Hickory creek by white chapel!!!!!!!
I have a reaction request. Andrew W.K. recently dropped a music video for a new single called "Babalon" yes it is spelled that way. It is packed with a lot of religious symbolism and imagery. Perhaps you can spot some meaning in it through the biblical lense.
Still can't get down with that many highs but still a great song!
Please react to Slaughter to prevail- Baba Yaga would love to hear your input on it
Yall should react to "I'm not a vampire (Revamped)" by Falling in reverse. As usually great vid, keep it up guys.
Check out motionless in white immaculate misconception
React freezing moon by mayhem with dead on vocals
Please react to Diamonds to Dust - Corpus Christi
