- Alright good people - let’s get our bass springs ready and fire up our jet turbines - our guest on Peeling The Onion is no other than the almighty Blixa Bargeld ! Yes, this is not a drill. I sat down with Blixa for a 90 minute talk about the new Einstürzende Neubauten album, Rampen (AMP: Alien Pop Music), which is to be released April 5th, as well as his extremely prolific career.
He of course did 20 years with Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and has done many collaborations, including his work with Teho Teardo - which he is working on a new album with.
Blixa is a true genius and such a super nice and interesting guy to talk to - I hope you like it as much as I did.
Thanks for listening you guys - take care of each other.
Elvar
This is such a generous, detailed, and informative interview.
Thank you and yes Blixa was magical. I feel so lucky to have caught him in such a relaxed and generous mood !
@@PeelingTheOnionPod It's also impressive how much you know! All of your interviewees seem to feel like they are in very good hands.
God, I love Blixa. Rampen is amazing. Never stop, BB.
It is ! Listening to it right now
wonderful chat. ❤
Thank you !
One of the most interesting, cultured and evolved musicians of his generation. Live a long life Blixa Bargeld, maybe one day I will visit Germany. So damn expensive though...
He is !
Going to see Neubauten in October in Europe
he oído el nuevo Album y considero que es uno de los mejores de Einsturzende Neubauten Saludos desde Argentina Blixa!
si es asombroso !
Good talk! Love the storys Blixa got to tell, well done!🎉
Hey thanks ! Means a lot
And yeah I had such fun talking to him

Einstürzende Neubauten Forever!
Yess!! 💜
6:42 I think “A cellar full of goys” is actually a quote from Ron Nasty of The Rutles, not John Lennon of the Beatles
It´s BOTH true! I remember reading a book on the Fabs in my teenage days, that had zhe Lennon "boys" quote....whereas "goys" is deninately a quote from Rutle Land----cheers!
@@osirispausch9152 Yes - John was making fun of Brian Epstein's book "A Cellarful of Noise" said it should be called A Cellarful of Boys 😀
@@XRaySpex000 ...which is pretty rude....but very whitty, too....hihihi
You know - I thought from the thumbnail and name of the podcast that this might be a show about random people peeling actual onions and crying. Like a spin on HOT ONES. I was wrong.
Lmao 😅 that's actually an idea
Jeeze he looks so young
Does anyone know the name of the song that plays in the end of the podcast? Thanks. By the way, great interview. You caught him on a good day, he doesn't usually give long interviews. I don't think he's got the patience for it. Nice one.
Thanks ! Yeah I really caught him on a good day, super happy about how it went down.
The song is by me, I uploaded the whole version on youtube on this channel.

Thanks !
Blixa darf alles. Alles! Auch Unsinn.
verdammt richtig !
Na ja... Great interview!
Hey thanks !
Bargeld - Pestalozzi
Januar 1959 / Heinrich Pestalozzi: * 12. Januar 1746).
Wow - das wusste ich nicht ! Vielen Dank für die informationen !
