I have always been in love with this God of a man. But to hear him condemn Rammstein and be embarrassed by what they do just elevated him to some immortal legend in my eyes. What a champion.
He is several people--an artist, a policeman, a vagrant, and a Prince. He is a one-man Breakfast Club whom I reported to the Chinese government for suspected espionage. And the teeth in the still for this video are not his. That also appears to be a disguise.
It must be AWESOME to be the Vampire Formerly Known as Bismarck, who now lives incognito an international singing spy. That's an unparalleled life of romance and adventure once believed only to exist in fiction. But it is not MY life. So once again, petty jealousy is the driving force behind whistleblowing.
@@karlmeer4241 I'm 99% positive Karl is British because only a Brit would say "sitting there promisingly without being interviewed". The British never disappoint with their dry wit made possible by their superior command of their native tongue.
Reminds me of that "clang clang clang" thing on Arte years ago, where there were performers crawling on the floor with canes, crutches and a microphone in their mouth, moaning. Then a guy crutches his way to a set of bars and eyeballs it with an anticipating gaze. Then he thrusts his crotch, which is fitted with a metal bar, and then proceeds to strike the bars with his crotch bar.
We tried to write a song in German but none of us could speak it, so we named it Danzen in Da Strasse, it sounded like a Messchersmit being fed thru a Marshall Amp, people used to dance to it, it was punk polka dot on steroids. (Practise Room Roma St 1979)
As someone who listens to both Rammstein and einstürzende Neubauten, that's rough. I like both bands for different reasons, each excelling in their niche. Blixa can come across as a bit snobby, but he's really not.
Yep, that one hurt. I wish I could unhear that. I've been a fan of both since around 1996 or 1997 and have been lucky enough to see them both live a few times too. Incredible for different reasons, like you said.
Rammstein can be a bit on the nose at times, and lean into their own stupidity. Which is fine, they are performers and its only rock and roll yada, yada. But I share Blixa's opinion that they may be the only modern German act most people would think of if pressed, and that is a shame.
Is it me, or does he look a bit like the guy who played the new Pennywise in the 2017 movie of Stephen King’s It? Certainly I cannot be the only one who noticed this…
... das tolle an Blixa Bargeld. Ist auch, dass er einen lieben Kern in sich trägt. Er ist ein ja ein Urgestein.. für Industrial Musik. U.so on.👍👏

I still can't understand how Nick ever dealt with this arrogant charlatan in the Bad Seeds. A limited skill at anything truly musical.
You sure that Cave isn’t an arrogant charlatan himself?

As he got older he sort of looked like Brendan Fraser
