      "You are wrong!"
The wisdom you just displayed in the way you talked about your son is worth a great deal. It is wisdom that many parents especially today never comprehend or understand. "Do not sell yourself short you are doing an excellent job!"
(Your advice from a professional home owner today is something I consider worth hearing.)

Wow Cody, I am 23 and have always been super close with my father and we've butted heads a lot while doing projects together but he's my role model for sure and we do have very much of the same interests and it's refreshing to listen to the ideology of another dad. I live in an area where for some reason many of my friends do not have fathers in their lives so it's nice to see someone else who reminds me of my dad in many ways! God bless you Cody for being a great father!

I remember growing up and how desperately I wanted to share my interests with my father ( video games, running, etc.) and because he was never good at it or understood it, he wouldnt join in. It caused a huge disconnect later on from him not even understanding what I enjoyed doing or being able to talk or share a big part of my life. I greatly admire you for spending your time doing and learning the things Jack enjoys.

I'll never forget getting my first tools on my 13th birthday. Each year after I would get something else. I had built up a pretty good set when I was in high school. One day I forgot to put my tailgate up when leaving school and lost it all. It was a bummer, but I learned from it.

Your comments at the end about your relationship with your son were really refreshing. I remember growing up with a stepdad who was very work-minded and when we were together it was primarily to accomplish a chore or a job. Now that we're both older and wiser I think we treat each other differently, and a bit more of that mutual respect you mentioned that we may not have shared during those earlier days, to make up for some of those lost opportunities. We're both fairly quiet men who don't openly talk about things and growing up I remember having to work with him ended up being an awkward requirement I didn't look forward to. Nowadays, we're much better at enjoying each other's company and I'm glad that our relationship has improved.

This series is not only entertaining, but it is in my opinion, a service. The quality/price ratio is astounding. Any young person who is starting a career in auto mechanics can benefit immensely from this information. Getting a full high quality kit for 1/4 the price is a money maker, as opposed to be a burdensome debt for someone starting out. As for the nit-pickers regarding the affiliate links goes, frankly, screw 'em, IMO.

But the thing that I admire the most is your openness about your faith . I've always been an outsider because I didn't follow I reasoned and did what I felt was good and right . I had way too many bad influences growing up in FLA in the frig years . But I had a few bright beacons to steer toward as well . It's funny I find shows that I like on You Tube because of the topic or content . And more often than not I find out that I have faith in common with the host . God will lead you when you let Him . An observation from a amateur homeowner. It’s interesting listening to your current relationship with Jack. When I reflect on my late teens I had no interest in my Dads interests. I thought they were dull and insular and went off carving my own furrow. Then in my late 30s my interests became the same as his and now in my mid 40s and he in his 80s we are still working on projects together. I’m always learning from him and I feel very fortunate I’ve got this opportunity. But there is a tinge of sadness I hadn’t realised all this when I was younger. My point being, it’s rare for the apple to fall far from the tree. We just think we know better when we’re join and want to have some control over our choices.

I believe the wisdom of a Professional Homeowner is common sense. And we all know that common sense is very lacking in this day and age. Spending time with your kids is something that we don't see a lot of these days. Mentoring is so much more important than trying to be your child's friend. We are all different for a reason and I applaud you for seeing that and sharing and hopefully influencing others to look at their relationships with their family members.

Thank you, Cody! This video series is tremendous, and I will absolutely be working to save up so that I can outfit myself with tools recommended by someone who I know I can trust. You are so caring and such a good father to Jack, but also keep in mind there are those of us who have lost our fathers, and so your content and the patience you show in teaching us through your videos comes through at least to me in a way that brings back great memories of the times I had with my father while he was still with us and the way he taught me the things he passed on. I know you pray for all of us constantly, and I try to do my best to pray for you and yours as well--but I must do better at that. I have gotten so much out of your content over the years, and a new video from you always brightens my day, regardless what the topic is or how long or short it is. God Bless you!

When I was in auto-tech I definitely was impressed by the quality of Snap-On tools but to be honest I think most of the time they're just overkill. Yes they are very reliable but how often do you actually find yourself in the situation where only the Snap-On can make the difference. If trying to take a bolt off breaks your ratchet it's a 50/50 chance that your tool actually is really cheap or you were using the wrong tool in the first place.

I use impact sockets for the lug nuts on my vehicles. They're just stouter in case the auto shop really cranks the lug nuts tight. Also truck lug nuts are on at a pretty high torque.
And thank you for the affiliate links. It helps me buy them without having to search all over again.

It's really great to see this series and to see someone explaining the difference in quality in tools.I'm a mechanic here in the UK and there are so many cheap Chinese made tools on the market which are such poor quality some are just dangerous iv had tension on big bolts with cheap sockets and they've split clean in half and injured my hand after that I never baught any again it's worth spending that bit more to know your gonna be safe and not round any bolts off too which is also another problem with them too.Great series Cody really interesting to see thankyou 🙂

Man Cody, your points hit home. I right there with my son as well. So many similarities in our relationship (HS, CC, Debate). I’m working on this as a father as well. Thanks for the encouragement.

Absolutely cannot go wrong with Williams socket items, ratchets, and wrenches.

Cody, I know sometimes we all need time off but this series began with and has always had until this episode a co-host (Mama Kitty) and it just wasn’t the same without her lol, Jokes aside I am also a 50 year old father, and I agree that there needs to be moments where we teach but we can also learn from our children. Respect is a two way road. And knowing your place in the home starts with that

As a tool junkie this series really gives me the fizz, I'd like to see more series on setting up basic carpentry tools, outdoor hand tools and power tools for the average homeowner.

I have lots of old Williams tools from my grandad, they were related companies back in the day (maybe they still are?). Some tools were identical to snap-on counterparts. I'd recommend them as well, great tools.

Being Canadian, we come across our neighbours SAE now and then, so two sets here too.
In Canada, Canadian Tire has its house brands which are Mastercraft and Maximum with the latter being the pro line.
Both are fantastic, both are warranties forever. Both regularly go on sale for 50-80% off. So if you are patient, you can have a full set within a year for cheap.
The warranty, I brought a socket I broke while using on an impact gun. It was 26 years old. No receipt, just bring it to the tool dept and they'll swap for new.

Hey Cody. I very much so, appreciate your point of view.. and I honestly haven't ever looked at it like that. As far as our kids and ourselves. So thank you. Also thank you sir the tool into. That's awesome. I'm adding everything to my buy later tab in Amazon. So I will definitely be purchasing once I can afford to. Thanks again brother.

Great series Cody, I use all Snap-on tools at work. At home it is a random mix of tools....however I spent the money on snap-on ratchets. I like the socket plates so I can randomly place sockets where I like.
