The relic that turns strengths into weaknesses makes bombs deal loads of damage to the final boss you had, thats in part why he died so easily.
I never understood that relic cause a didn’t even know there were strengths and weaknesses in the game, are they damage types? Where do you see this?
@@jamesroocie9564 There are a few things that show up as resisting damage and taking half, most notably shields. Also stationary stuff like mirrors and weathervanes against targeted attacks. They are strong against thrown/targeted respectively. With the relic that gets flipped on its head and turns into weakness - they take x2 damage instead.
@@jamesroocie9564there’s 3 types of damage, depending on where they come from: from the front, from above, and from bombs.
Shields are resistant to damage from the front.
Mirrors are weak to damage from the front but strong against damage from above.
The minesweeper boss is resistant to bomb damage.
Resistances mean that enemies take 0.5x damage, and weaknesses mean that enemies take 2x damage.
This can be seen when hitting an enemy:
if the damage number is blue it has resistance and shows x0.5 after the base damage
If the damage number is red it has weakness and shows a x2.0 after the base damage

Don't you just hate it when the final boss dies to the preparatory stages of your big move and suddenly its game over?
cruciball really makes you realize that 50% of the relic fillers that are "why is this so bad?" is just there to counteract the debuffs which makes it really annoying instead of hard because sometimes you just can't win even if you hit 100% perfect shots.

At 7:03 The balladin passive hit the boss for a casual 65 DMG and tom didn't notice that huge hit of almost 200 HP lol

YAS TOM! I have been tinkering with Bullwark Enemy "Un-aliveing" themselves on my armour builds for the past couple weeks. I find Durable, plus the Protectorb almost guarantee no damage, then it's just finding which fun way to watch enemies "un-alive" themselves.

Just did a run with that ballwark relic yesterday and thought it would be a cool new build for Tom. Was not wrong!
Bullwark balls and multiball go so hard, Tom. It’s easy mode in the early Cruciball levels.
Accidentally tripping into a bomb build and nuking the boss turn 1 😂

I would love a custom "barbarian" build where you deal loads of damage to yourself to kill enemies.
1:41 I think you should actually go to the shop slightly more often in those runs, a relic can make the difference.
Balladin in general is pretty crazy.
This game would've been great if it was Pinball-lin. Just add side paddles so you can keep the ball in play.

Says "magic mirror on the wall", rather than "mirror mirror", because he totally knows that it's misquoted by everyone and is really "magic mirror on the wall", so gets the quote right. Like a nerd.
(Take no offence, Tom. As I obviously have to be a nerd myself - knowing all about the misquote - to have even noticed you doing that. And I'm the bigger nerd here, as I'm pulling a "well, actually..." on you about it all.)
