@@gerudah Peglin awakens something in all of us, I swear there are certain random events that only show up if your going to a shop or getting a treasure to making navigating to them more difficult.
I love that even now there's no possibility for another orb to be the #1 best boy. We all know who our sweet precious best orb is.

Lasorb always seems to have such wild swings. Maybe it's map-dependent. I start out thinking "a laser should at least have piercing, right?" But then it'll have an encounter where that'd be incredibly overpowered..

That's slime orb was really good with the gamble, since the damage reduction slime blocked the damage from the fire pit.

I like that the Dollar is so powerful as a currency that a guy from Bristol will say “I want X Dollars/bucks” to himself instead of pounds and not think about it.
Why does everyone hate that book? It makes the chest have a chance to be midboss relics.
Future Peglin Video suggestion: You take every ball and relic that you haven't unlocked - the (!) sign. Something crazy has to come out of it!

When Tom got to the 2nd area and nearly died to the shieldmen, I really hoped his son Bouldorb would appear to save him.
Silly numbers make my brain happy. I thought some of my builds were strange(ly fun) but this takes the biscuit!

I like the upgrade encounter idea Tom! Something that is otherwise unnatural without that event is also cool! I've always wanted infinity stone style relics to go with the power glove to further buff it or something, I think that'd be cool too.

Tom talks about people disliking Orbert's Story because it's RNG, but then takes Poker Chip every time.
I don't think it's necessarily the RNG factor that makes people dislike it. From a viewer's perspective the book's useful but pretty boring. As far as I can tell, it's not like there's any sort of feedback when it works and +X% tends to be the most uninteresting of upgrades in any game, unless that 'X' is a wild number. The Poker Chip, for better or worse, makes it very obvious when it's coming into play.
probably one of my favorite peglins in a long time. Very enjoyable!
Imagine this: you’re a giant dragon. A little groblin walks into your cave. It drops a shit ton of potions on the floor. You’re getting ready to do a fire breath. It pulls out a ball. That ball becomes 50 knives. Those knives disassemble you at the atomic level.
Crucible level 17, respect. Just hit the enemies get extra turn on reloads and feeling like it's too much of a slog now
Yeah, I don't really like playing past level 10 because it just starts being hard for the sake of being hard. Level 15 is when i gave up on the classes other than spinventor. you just have to get way luckier with the orbs and relics on other characters while the spinventor upgrades every orb you get.

hey tom, funny you said we're not doing targeted attacks, when ALL your attacks were targeted ones, the only thing you were doing that was aoe was BOMBS. idk what you were thinking
None of his attacks were targeted, they were all projectile. Targeted attacks are things like Ball Lightning that hit a specifically targeted enemy.

I always things its weird that lets play channel videos always say 'we' instead of 'I'. But If Tom's going to use 'we' then I appreciate that the blame gets spread around also.
the use of 'we' is meant to make you feel like you're part of the journey instead of just observing it.
The book feels like such a useless artifact. I'm going to need someone to mathematically show me why it's decent

7% more chance for a treasure *if* you go to a ? is just not value. Assuming you only went to ? for every single encounter (approximately 30) you'd get like. 2 more relics? But then you have to subtract the one that you gave up to get Orbert's Story, so it's one extra treasure. If you have it for the entire run and only go to question marks. The analytics say it's terrible!
Tom definitely wants to give any "random" ball extra stats because it would make the multiballs damage so much better
The other day my balls kept slipping between everything so hard, I got practically beaten by the end of the second fight.... It was kind of embarrassing...
