Thanks for the music at the end..blew my ear drums out 😂😂
Used spinning reels for a long time but have changed to baitcasters for a number of reasons. Accuracy, space in the boat, casting distance, durability and more fun to use. Haven't had a birds nest that needs scissors in years. Takes a little practice though but once you get the hang of it, it makes fishing so much more fun.
cast distance isn't farther on baitcasters, this is a myth.
Spinning reel: more distance, cheap, simple, all round use
Baitcaster reel: heavy lures, jerks, much more control over the lure during flight. I got my first baitcaster and very soon discovered I can do very precise weird throws. Once your let the finger of your spinning reel, the lure is sort of out of control during flight.
I am more accurate with a spinning rod, I have yet to see any accuracy with my baitcasters. It goes everywhere
My buddy handed me one and it instantly bird nested... ne never casted farther then his old half broken zepco the whole day. My 20$ spinning reel throws super far and accurately. Bait casters are a joke to me
@@jazwraps7178 that’s why it’s “ideal for intermediate to advanced anglers” beginner noobs will likely fail and give up lol
@@Trailerwalker Baitcasters suck
@@jazwraps7178baitcasters have a learning curve and when you first get ‘em they are the worst. once you know what your doing and become familiar with the setup they are light years better. that’s my experience at least. i bought my first a year ago and was aware it would suck in the first weeks. after a bit it easily became my best and favorite rod
@@jonathonburch6157 best response. But is it best for everything? Short accurate casts?
actually helped a lot b4 i buy a new reel. I'm a feeder type guy so going back to the good old fashion spinning reel is the way
Thanks for the video, but I've always stopped my lure mid-cast on a spinning rig for accuracy and you can choose stiffer rods if you want more leverage and casting power for heavier lures. I still don't get why people choose baitcasters.
Baitcaster take a fewer seconde casting maning hou have more time hou van catch and thans especially good when you are fishing a long day
The baitcaster Has an advantage at retrieval speed, accuracy and power
@@laurens6989 Quatum Snapshot series
doesn't take any time to use it holds the line during cast No finger needed & was an open reel.
@@kanyewestbank9677 accuracy is subjective to the user's accuracy own, not the type of reel or rod.
@@laurens6989 Bait casters seem like a huge pain in the ass with 0 visible advantage...
Thank you for the video! I now know im accurate enough with my spinning reel to not buy another baitcaster. Thought there would be more pros but you take your focus off the damn thing for a second and you best have another reel on you or you'll be sitting there untangling it over and over again.

i dont have a baitcaster. i have 2 spinning reels and after watching this im like kinda on the fence personally i just want 1 baitcaster i saw one at walmart for $30 with a 7:2:1 Gear ratio i think would be perfect for me so i can have 1 baitcaster maybe later on down the road i might get a different baitcaster i dont know.
@@krdpoutdoors I think that's the same one I got, mine was also $30 and it was red, I fucked that thing up every other cast and became furious lol
@@ImFAULKn LOL if i take the time to learn to use th bait caster then i think im gonna really love it
Different rods and reels are for different styles of fishing
Fly rods are for fly lure fishing
Spinning rods are for spinning lure fishing
Bait casters are for casting heavy lead anchor weighted baits for Surf fishing, cat fishing in a river with currents and trolling from a boat offshore with a swimming jig lure. They are geared for trolling speeds to get the lure to swim right in the water.
Spin rods can be casted underhand from a pier or bridge, unlike bait casters.
Spinning rods are better for casting in windy conditions, unlike bait casters.
No matter how good you get with a small bait caster on a calm lake you will bird nest when casting in the wind on the coast unless you have a two or three ounce lead weight in the rig.
Also, a small bass fishing bait caster will get ruined in sandy or dirty conditions.
Different rods and reels are of different styles of fishing with different lures. The only rod and reel sold for beginners is the closed face Zebco.
More of a spinner myself
I JUST bought that same baitcaster
I like both ,but the baitcaster can be hard to work with some times.
Just started fishing 2 days ago and upgraded my zebco to a bait caster... might as well start using best of the best as
Nope
How do you like it what reel do you have?

a baitcaster is not only more comfortable, accurate and has more feedback than a spinning rod but also much more fun and rewarding. baitcasters feel like the rod and reel are one piece with only the reel handle being the other because you can simply press a button to release your spool while a spinning rod feels like 3 different things being the rod, bail arm and reel handle all being awkward to use and recast once you upgarde to a baitcaster you never go back
Can you use baitcasters at night when you can't see your bait when it lands?
latte reply but yes, most baitcasters come with brakes where it wont backlash when set at a high brake setting, at the cost of range.
Whats that spinning rod? The one with the camo looks great!
it might be a samaki, not sure what model
Savage does one like that at BCF
U use spinning I still think of the old push button as a kid hated it. I fish bottom alot so loving the live liner . everyone loves a different type but as long as you fish it's all 👍.
👀 oh I see
after watching this, still dont know why ppl use baitcasters when the spin can do everything and more?
Cast with right and then switch hands? No gopdnwotg the left? Good video. You look a bit like a guy that was on neighbours 15 years ago
Spinning reels are also very versitile on the lure weights! You can throw light tackle much easier then with s baitcaster
Im your 600th sub 😀
So a rod can be used with line eyes on top as well as on bottom ....?
Yes, you'll notice most sea fishing guys are eyes up.
Spinning rods have the eyes on bottom and casting rods have them on top. You shouldn’t mix a spinning rod with a casting reel or vice versa. They are two very different rods.
YOU BETTER UPDATE THIS VIDEO BECAUSE BAITCASTER NOW COME IN SIZE 300 AND 400 FOR SALTWATER FISH ALSO!!!
It would help to stop the backround music since this is not meant to entertain but to educate.
It is a myth that baitcasters are more accurate and you can thumb a spin reel if you need to… unless you cast then swap hands like a noob
Its definitely not a myth I've seen first hand baitcasters are way more accurate
@@trout_fishing_Virginia accuracy is from the person, not the rod or the reel.
@@kevinerbs2778 you can cast baitcasters in places no one can cast a spinning reel
Once you go baitcaster you really don’t go back. Pros use them way more often for a reason.
You ever seen peen international reel 50 bait caster conventional reel
For the everyday fisherman the baitcaster is king. Its versatile and out performs any spinning reel. The spinning reel is only good for headaches. You get wind knots and if you dont get wind knots the line wraps around the reel seat handle, bail, its a nightmare. I took out my bff and let her cast it while i was fishing my regular rod and after a few casts the line was a mess around the reel and she just gave it up and asked me to never take her fishing again. I should of let her cast my baitcaster. All i would of had to do was put on some brakes and she wouldnt of birdnested

This is the exact opposite of my experience with the two.
i have 2 spinning reels and love them so much and have never had a single problem with the line causing me any problems around the reel. Lately i been severely contemplating about getting a baitcaster. BaitCasters are kinda annoying though but i know damn well if i have a baitcaster set propperly or set the settings Right i dont have to thumb the baitcaster. so im kinda on the fence about baitcasters and i was gonna get 1 at walmart for $30 so for $30 for 1 baitcaster i dont really care.
@@nydarkfern yeah, this post is all sorts of backwards.
