I'm afraid I have to tell you this Resident Evil Collection is exclusive to PC because the project is started by GOG. They asked permission to restore and publish the old PC ports to new systems. You can consult "The Sphere Hunter" channel where she explains and shows the games.
Something to Keep in mind about the GOG version of the Resident Evil trilogy is that it is a port of the original pc version which had much more visual clarity, better 3d models and textures, as well as some additional features like a bonus difficulty mode for Resident Evil 2.
The Breath of Fire series is sadly forgotten by them. I only have slight hope for the series in that their fan surveys they sound out have come back with requests to remake the original trilogy.
I'm hyped for a new Dead Rising release by Capcom themselves, really hope it does well and we get a Dead Rising 2 remake with Off The Record and Vanilla 2 combined with the extra Case campaigns. Absolutely fantastic, also not gonna lie you shouldn't let the difficulty hold you back dead rising is a great title and Dead Rising 2 at the very least is way easier than 1 AND Off The Record has checkpoints.
I remember playing re2 "demo" that came with re on Playstation and the term demo haha it was the whole game and something else weird on Playstation Doom had the soundtrack on it when put in a cd player but couldn't hardly hear it while playing
the Dead Rising remake is being called a remake by everybody who is a big DR1 fan. including me. its looks far too different and has already shown new stuff that just screams "its yet another mis-titled remake". also DR1 is initially a difficult game, but its SUPER built for replayability. the main gameplay goal is to level up as you keep your levels and all upgrades that comes with, like more health and inventory and special moves all while learning the layout of the mall. in a way its like a roguelike, but on a constant timer. the first game still holds up incredibly well so i'd already recommend giving it another try. especially since its not locked to the 360 any more. hell if you really feel the need, you could mod the game in some way if you still feel its too difficult for you. if you have the option to enjoy a game how you want, take it!
They need to release this on PS5, these are classic Resident Evil games i enjoyed the most, it doesn't make any sense not having it for these PlayStation consoles
Sounds like you got the wrong idea with Dead Rising which is probably why you didn't get on with it initially. It's supposed to start out really difficult and you're supposed to get killed easily early on. The thing is that with each restart you carry your XP over which makes a huge difference to how much you can do. Combined with the knowledge you gain each playthrough as to where things are, you're able to do more and more of the story until eventually the zombies are basically nothing to you. The best comparison I can make is probably to Lightning Returns. TLDR: In Dead Rising accept you're going to die and keep trying, it'll click after a few restarts.

I think the main reason people like GOG is because there's no DRM, and IIRC they don't force you to use another launcher as-well?

I'm not a fan of Monster Hunter either. I cannot stand how unrealistic and silly the weapon designs are in that game.
