Season 01 Final Totals
Joez/Zack 9,450
Jimmy 8,625
Jake 7,525
“Regular” season totals.
What matters now is the Crag-offs! Or was it Super-Crag?
Absolutely hilarious that just about EVERY single episode Jake's pick has at least one round where they flop incredibly.
The addition of a post season does feel like Jake and Jimmy trying to snake this win away from team Joezack lol
Absolutely! But I’m glad the season isn’t quite over yet.
That's absolutely what they're doing. Time to talk to HR about a hostile workplace lol
100% on this. Totally trying to screw Joezack out of a trophy lol
“If she falls, I’m swinging”
“At who?”
“Everyone.”
And yet he didn't swing lol
@@wadewoodard9901no on camera 😅
13:12 Showing the “Time to beat” when she’s 50% past that time and not done yet, is hilarious by the producers
My absolute favorite part about this series is that they still have not fully grasped the scoring for the last round. Never change.
Math is definitely not their strong suit. Lol
As a kid I always found the scoring system deliberately annoying haha
0, 175, 350 is really not a hard concept to grasp lol. I saw that in the comments once and it has never been confusing since
When it was a 300 point difference and they were saying how it didn't matter who won the crag I was laughing so hard.
@@blankname6629I think they made it that way to make it just a bit harder to follow.
Jake getting shafted every episode is pure entertainment also Birt just catatonic with the bat was crazy
Holy shit, read Kim Kahana's wiki (the mustachioed stunt coordinator). Dude survived a firing squad execution in the Korean war by feigning death and then was the only survivor of an airplane crash a few years later.
Birts profile said baseball champion. Lie detector determined that was a lie.
Assistant managers are champions too.
Relief pitcher that never saw the field, on the team though so still a champion.
10 years ago I was a reserve sub (sub to the sub) for the Wisconsin highschool rugby team. They won Nationals. I wasn't even at the tournament since they didn't end up needing me, but I was technically on the team.
@@ejritz94thats like carl edwards jr winning a WS ring with the braves in 2021 😂 he pitched like 3 mlb outs in one single appearance in like early May and still received a ring when they won later that year
i caught that too. he must of meant Tecmo Baseball 93 on NES
I was waiting this whole episode for Jimmy and Jake to come up with some new rules that give them a shot at the title lol. I knew it was coming.
Every single time lol, we all know who the champions are- Joezack #1
The ending is like when children change the rules of a game because they're losing. Congrats JoeZack on kind of winning!
Jake and Jimmy spontaneously turning into petty and vindictive heel authority figures as the credits were ready to roll was a thing of beauty.
"all events are designed with our player's safety in mind....except for the rings. You're on your own for that one."
At the start of the Season I made a spreadsheet and it became a habit while watching the episodes to fill it out and here is what I've found from the short 6 game season.
AVG age of contestants is very close with purple being the youngest slightly at 12.16 followed by Blue 12.6 and Red 12.67. Jake on avg took the youngest at a flat 12 years, then Jomboy at 12.5 and Joez slightly higher than avg with a 12.8 years. Its no surprise Joez's team avg the most points per game at a Staggering 1575 points, also being the only ones to beat ALL the avgs of each color. Both Jake and Jimmy would have gotten more points by picking anyone every time Except blue. Blue scored the least and did the worst on avg by a somewhat big margin. That is reflected in its highest pick at 2.3 meaning on avg blue was the 2nd or 3 pick, while red and purple both had 1.83. With them being only 125 in difference of total points in reds favor it was very even. Purple Made up a lot of points in the Crag unsurprisingly scoring 175 more points by the end of the 6 episodes than 2nd place in the crag Red.
I took purple this whole season and looking at the data its odd seeing red slight ahead on everything but crag. Purple crag buff does exist, while red either came first or last in the crag. I'm excited the playoffs (I feel like Joez's team already dominated and should get a better boost to the playoffs and Cragoffs) and Season two I might have to expand the sheets cause its kind of fun going thru all the data. - Zoey

you are awesome! thank you for the stats.
Can you make it a shareable google doc? Would love to keep up with the stats!
This is elite content
@@AliceYobby I updated it with a link. its not pretty but it works
It's not his fault you can't read. There were some neat stats in there. But, yeah, you're cool, I guess. @hiddenchallenge041
Jimmy with the creepy old man at a park impression KILLED me
Jake's reaction to his kids failing has me dying every episode
Brutal season for Jake
Doesn’t deserve a Super Bowl
That water event was bugged. The bungee was pulling them up which made it so they couldn't lean back. That's why all 3 contestants had issues with the front of their board dipping into the water. Along with the rings debacle, this episode was borked.
All of the belayed events are uncompetitive. It looks like they don't have any kind of calibration for the contestants' weights, so each belayer is as much a competitor as the actual contestant. If you get the "volleyball-style serve" guy instead of the "here you go" guy, you're gonna lose every time.
Jimmy and Jake always moving those goalposts on the poor hometown kids. 😀 Another hilarious episode, keep it up!
Jimmy 😂😂💀 “Great job on the pole”
Jimmy trying to hose them last second is so classic.
Jimmy's "Welcome to baseball!" at the end had me rolling about the regular season not mattering. So true...
They have to wear helmets when they’re hooked into bungees, but not when they’re falling off the rings and jumping into a big pillow 😂
Moira Quirk has definitely been displayed on every ep I’ve seen.. Joez is wildin
the rings are such a mistake, what were they thinking
Aboslutely addicted to this series. Can't get enough! All 3 kids falling on the rings was wild
The kid's name is BURT REYNOLDS? lol wtf
Came to the comments to say this, surprised they didn't say anything about it lol
Joez has never seen her last name because he's always crushing on her face.
Helluva season from Joezack. Curious to see how they fair in the Cragoff with that first round pick.
13:12 OMG Zack! That was such a hilarious under-your-breath joke
Most I laughed the whole episode xD
I can just imagine the Nickelodeon lawyers watching this episode back then, chugging pepto, as kids are awkwardly falling 10 feet onto partially matted cement flooring. 😂😂
Jake getting so pissed at 21:38 is absolutely epic
I watched these as a kid, now im watching it again as an adult with the guys who got me back into baseball.
literally me too.
No way the "baseball champ" just stood there like a statue in the batting competition
Two ideas for future seasons
1. an extra game gets added to that season, but no one is allowed to see the contestants for that game. The selection must be made off the names on the scoreboard in the intro scene. No trading allowed. Who you draft is who you’re stuck with.
2. One season is strictly point accumulation from every episode, getting a dominate player means more if they can rake in a ton of points.
Option 2 adds TOO much chaos. Higher probability of a season being clinched too early because of a single, ridiculous 3-kid grouping.
Whoever lucked into the 1 pick that week is given an obnoxious advantage, solely for being able to recognize a 5'10" 14-year-old amongst children.
this is everything i ever wanted from a youtube series
Can't believe you guys haven't bought a piece of the crag for the Championship trophy yet!
Jimmy "the renegotiator" strikes again.
"SHES GOING sideways!" I am literally crying!
if Joe-Z-ack win the super bowl, jake and jimmy are going to propose a super super bowl
of course they will
Mike O'Malley is crazy accomplished. His resume is truly amazing.
This is genuinely the best content on UA-cam
This is by far my favorite series on UA-cam! Please never stop watchin’ guts!
look forward to this more than anything else on youtube!
This channel saved baseball - and brought back a childhood classic
What a finale!!!
I laughed, I cried...
I feel like a better man after watching.
Thank you
I speak for all of us when I say we need more guts content. One day a week isn’t enough. I want to watch the cragoff tomorrow
I was spoiled with 2 episodes in a week, so excited to see Season 2 soon!
Thanks for believing in me Joez.
17:09 Jake: (sigh) "vegas visitor." 😂 i love this series!
13:57 has the most *I just got a concussion from hitting a metal pipe* face I’ve ever seen.
Joez at 17:20 is pure comedy
"like a stranger in a playground" HAHAH!
Great season boys, love these, thank you!
8:43…. Really? Nobody is going to point out that the kid’s name is Birt Reynolds?
This was by far the funniest episode yet. This was a classic!!!!!
Love to see you look up some of these players and invite them to the warehouse!
Jake’s ‘GOD FUCKING DAMNIT’ i felt to my core. Also, Jimmy’s man bod appreciation this episode was hilarious and im here for it 😂
We really loved bungee ropes in the 90s didnt we
I’m so proud of you guys, you almost understand the math of the game!! 26:46
Don’t let the 25, 50, 75 distract you, it’s only there for tie breaking purposes - focus on the 7, 5, 3.
Like you saw Red at 5 could take 1st and go up to 12, and Blue with 8 could take 3rd going to 11 and that 300 difference is covered and eclipsed by the +400 of that swing.
Which also meant if Purple got 3rd and Blue got first, ol Birt would have won…
Love how this was all filmed in one sitting
Watching this and drinking is just pure gold
This is my absolutely favorite offseason jomboy content lol
Joez *loves* her.
So
Much
@@JoezMcflySports I love you, Joez. 🙂
Fantastic season! Can't wait for more.
Also I feel bad but can't help but be hilariously entertained by how bad Jake's drafting was this season.
I love the rings. It’s the best part of the episode
I never want GUTS to end. I want it to be 2028 and we're on the final season.
Birt looks like Mark Reynolds at the plate
"I bet you go high in the elastic jungle" is going to be THE insult of 2024
Haven't seen a kid pull off blue steel yet. Way to go, Ryan.
This has been a *thumbs up* great time.
Mike yelling out the time to beat for purple on the water event is incredibly unfair…
Stay golden pony boys. Another great show. And heck of a season
Burt just standing there with the bat even though they called him a baseball champ in his bio is just amazing.
I didn't even notice at first that they took some of the rings off. If anything, that probably made it even worse. I'm sure the producers were probably thinking of getting rid of them altogether once that taping session was done.
Will you still be reacting to the remaining episodes of the first season of Guts?
Also, to answer Jake's question from the last episode, they have to complete an obstacle before moving onto the next one. They can't just skip it if they fall off. Mo even mentions this in her rules spiel.
21:35 unironically the maddest I’ve ever seen Jake get lmaoooo
Birt was getting some HEAT from the pitching machines. Even with a fungo bat, how is he supposed to make contact with THAT??
6:37 The FUNNIEST stuff happens to Jake lol I can’t believe it
Grats Joez/Zack. Hard fought regular season! Don't lose focus this coming Playoff Cragtacular!
You all completely glossed over Birt being billed as a "Baseball Champ" before turning in that performance in the batting cage.
Great times guys.
The greatest jomboy media series
Jakes heel run in season one is already legendary.
You guys need to get a podium for next season. Have medals put on you.
funniest episode yet
I'm genuinly surprised more kids haven't gotten their limbs caught in those rings. It looks and functions like a torture device.
These aren't being broadcast in the order they were filmed. They probably added the rings later when everyone kept falling.
For the record, this was the 24th episode to be taped and the second to air on Nickelodeon. The rings were first used in episode 1-21.
I love how the guys absolutely shut up to listen to Mo give the same rules she always gives. They respect her so much
If you guys watch the last redo serve when you paused it, at like 7:40, you see the worker in the back right mimic what you’re supposed to do. Even he looks up at another worker after and was like wtf?? 🤷🏻♂️ 😂
So is nobody going to mention that that kids name is literally Birt Reynolds?
For the crag:
1 place difference (1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd) = 175 point gain
2 place gain (1st to 3rd) = 350 point gain
Cant wait for Season 2!
I can’t wait to CRAG-OFF!
Jomboy and Jake are the worst kinds of sore losers, constantly adding/changing rules until they get the results they want 😂
This was nuttts😂
I think to make this a little more exciting you could do a point system where you add up the Guts points of all your picks from the season instead of points for 1, 2, 3
This is great UA-cam!
