- Strangers rushed to help a baby they found alone in the middle of a street. A man in Utica, New York shot video of the baby laying on her stomach in the road, while concerned people come to check on her. One man picks the child up while another calls the police. Cops say after they were alerted to the video, they arrested the child's mother, Ledrika Ford, for child endangerment. If I’d found that baby in the road like that and the mother comes running over, best believe I’m sitting in my car with the baby and locking the doors until the police get there. It was also snowy there so the baby was probably frozen and that’s why it couldn’t keep it’s head up well. Definitely big enough to crawl, but at what speed? That would take a long time to somehow get out a door and, into the middle of the street. Barring having a doggy door, this meant their front door was wide open in the middle of winter. It makes no sense at all.

One of the older kids could have down this. I did it to my sister when I was just a little kid and she was a new born. Except I put her in a car seat and a blanket and knocked at the neighbors door than put her down in front of the door than ran to the side of the house, than came back to peak in the door to see what happened and I got caught.

It wasn't just dark, it was cold! I could see the yards around the street were all covered in a fairly deep layer of snow, the baby was probably so sleepy because it was starting to develop hypothermia. Even if she had been on the sidewalk, she could have died from exposure if someone hadn't found her.

How do you "not know" how your little baby who looks like she can't even crawl got out into road at night in the cold? She 100% put that baby there.
she has multiple kids. and sometimes people let their other kids help raise the little ones. one of the ids could have put them there out of spike.

We don’t know all the story. I’ve heard of jealous children doing the unthinkable while the oldest was keeping an eye while mom rested.

What a perfect opportunity for some kids to pull a stunt like that, and if mom thinks everyone is in bed, and goes to bed herself, she honestly wouldn’t have known something like this happened.
