I believe this is the best DIY video I have ever seen! My favorite part is no editing... We all goof up a bit.... I wish I could change my tires every time I rotate my Oil. I just loved that!!! And my child put rocks in my pump!! YOU got a new sub, and please keep them coming real!! As I am saying goodbye for now, I still have a smile on my face!! Thank you!
Don't top off the brake fluid! The fluid level will naturally drop as the pads wear down. If you top it off then the next time you change the pads and push those caliper pistons back, that reservoir will overflow and everything under that reservoir will be covered in brake fluid which eats paint!
Great video and very informative. The oil smell and visible oil on the valve covers, could be related to a leaking oil cooler. Its made of plastic, 🙄 and sits in the valley between the heads. They are prone to cracking, so an inspection of it may be worthwhile. Also, Baxter makes a screw-on oil filter adapter, (metal,) that replaces the plastic 🙄 cap and gets rid of the filter cartridge. What's great about it is that it keeps oil at the top of the engine to help lubricate the valves during start-up, thus eliminating dry starts, which can prematurely wear out the camshaft lobes and rockers. Its easy to install and may prolong the life of your engine. Again, thanks for making a great video.
Great video and I appreciate you taking the time to show some of the other components that get neglected and don't get inspected. Never knew about the door hinges but that's getting added to the list. I'll be checking my hubs when I do my fluids and rotate the tires next weekend.
Excellent video, good tips especially the door hinges. My dad taught me to remove the fill plug first before the drain plug. If for any reason the fill plug is gacked, you sure don’t want to find out after the fluid is drained
You're welcome, I enjoyed making it! That's why I put out these videos. I've also made a lot of mistakes over the years and have learned what could have prevented many of them.
Great video! Just one bit of advice though, I know everyone’s got opinions but I just wanta help you out. Mobile 1 unfortunately is not certified for Mopar engines. If you check the certifications on the bottles you’ll notice it’s not certified Chrysler MS-6395. Penzoil is. So I recommend going with directly Mopar or Penzoil
Keep the little squirt tops from the differential oil bottles to use to fill the transfer case. Can also use it in combination with a small hose to fill the manual transmission.
please include the cleaning of the drain plugs and oil filter caps etc. also FYI lay a shop rag over the alternator before oil filter change just a good step
Before pulling that oil filter out, lay some shop towel around the underside, and cover that alternator; also do that gasket/filter stuff over a trash can, not your engine bay.
Just did my 2nd oil change and tire rotation. I expected my tire pressure to be off after rotating. Ends up these Gladiators are pretty balanced at 53% Front and 47% Rear.
FYI make an excel file for maintenance tracking. Beeen doing this for years (in this case I used apple numbers). I’ve tract cost over the life time of 4 vehicles. Tesla model 3 and Prius have the lowest maintenance cost. Jeep is my highest haha
My k02 with shalk test told me to put 30 psi and I know it's ok cause they are new and run all summer and the little rubber new nibble ate still on side middle and even used on the 4 tires after 6000km 36 as per the door for big tire is a little to much I beleive
Instead of using the pour to clean oil, fill with oil and run the vehicle for 5 minutes, drain and refill. Does it cost some money? Yes, but it cleans everything out entirely.

i own a gladiator myself and this DIY video is a Godsend. thank you sir. i salute you
Good info in here, a lot of people just want to play but forget this part of the adventure. Good job! 👍🏻
Thank you! Now I need to go purchase a fluid pump.
@@Berserkeroffroad That part had me cracking up. It’s like you’ve filmed me doing it myself… 😂😂😂
21 gladiator, had power steering fluid leak, 7 hr job at dealership, under warranty. Was the hose. Great video!
Good video. Always fun to take care of our vehicles. I enjoy your delivery and yeah, I chuckled at the TC fluid bloopers. Haha! Stay safe out there!

Was telling my wife best diy video I ever seen learned so much and laughed my face off

Nice video I enjoyed doing this work so I probably do more maintenance than I absolutely have to but like you I enjoy it.
Please make another maintenance video in the future! Very informative I learned a lot! Subbed
Thank you for taking time out to make this for us

I appreciate this video especially for the effort and overall detail. This is an expense for sure, overall excellent content. Time well spent.

Awesome video! Really appreciate all of the info. You definitely motivated me to do some of my maintenance ahead of schedule.
I appreciate the video. I'm due for tire rotation, oil, and dif changes. I'm excited to do it myself as well.

Oil leak may be the cam position sensor. Mine leaked at about 20k miles. I saw oil on rear coil just like yours.
This was a great video!!! Thanks from a new jeep owner!
Thanks for sharing these tips it was something I needed to know.
Awesome video! Door hinges! Yes! Never thought of that. Next is steam clean the engine??
Miss your great videos, hope all is well
Get you a Manual oil pump for a quart bottle when doing that transfer case. So much easier and cleaner on the filling.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. My '20 just hit 40k.
Always enjoy your show dude.
Only thing I’d do different is putting Teflon paste back on your fill and drain plugs for transfer case and Diffs.
Maybe use torque specs too?

Nice info. Enjoy your humor and videos. Keep them coming.
Incredible video. Thanks
Did you use limited slip additive for your diff lockers?
Great video! This will be my weekend project. When will you plan on changing your brake pads?
Great video.
What about the transmission fluid?
Impressive that your 40K mile Glad is mostly OEM 👍
What size wrench is needed for the T case plugs?
The end looked like Last Dollar Road
I'm going to do the same thing to my ZJ
And that’s the first thing someone should do with any new to them used vehicle if there’s no records
Great point!
Can you change my differential fluid? Dealer wants $1,000 for that service

I thought I was the only one who said “Click” when it was hand torqued.
Did the dealer fix the leak?
I haven't taken it in yet.

Note to self “buy a another hand pump”
Great Vid 😂 Real life struggles!
Have you checked the oil cooler housing assembly? I had similar issues and it was that
Every time I rotate my oil, I change my tires 😂😂😂😂
It was painful to watch you try to fill the transfer case!!😂😂😂
Those tires aren’t actually gonna function as a mud terrain, as we can see, too worn! Normal, tires are consumable.
Love yuh Funnel!
Rule one of off roading don't look too closely at the paint.😂
