I still can't figure out a shaking cipher in a glance. I still need to take a moment to figure it out :
try to do custom or practice-custom mode with bots and just watch ciphers, you’ll get used to spotting shaking ciphers
I'm a traumatized WuChang main. Used to be tier 4 around S11? but now I dont play and trying to get back at it (experienced lots of toxic survs so yeah 'traumatized')
How do you avoid pallet stuns? Also any tips for map control? I find myself tunneling the first surv I chair hhnngg
Firstly, WC's early game is rather abysmal.
However, his umbrella more than makes up for this weakness.
Some pros would instant umbrella to surv spawn point, and I wouldn't argue against it.
As for me, I'm more of a low risk, high efficiency hunter. So I tend to use 'Throw' more to mindgame my target into misplaying (as with The Mind's Eye in this video itself).
Unfortunately, it is VERY EASY to get into tunnel vision mode with WC, particularly if you insta-swap, not to mention the relatively long cooldown time for umbrella (20s).
If ever, you get kited for too long, it is better for you to switch target (also as shown in this video during my chase with 1st Perfumer). And fortunately for WC, his umbrella enables you to do this without losing too much time/ground.

WC is incredibly once obtained full presence. Do not be afraid to use your umbrella to move around the map. I used WC for ranking last season, and I was surprised at how easy I managed to climb up the ranks. You can check my channel, it should start from Ep 84.
Also for that season, I experimented a lot with WC, so it might be of your interest.

I somewhat didn't bother tunneling a survivor once I began to main Joseph, since I told myself ; " Don't be greedy, chair what you incapacitated and so on. " It most likely worked so far
Esp during mid-chase. It takes a lot of discipline to stop and take photo using the camera.

Coming from a mid-high rank hunter, it doesn't matter what hunter, or what persona one uses, any hunter needs to follow all these basic rules in order to truly succeed.
Survivors have so much more information than the hunter, hunters need to pay attention to tiny details and try to scrap together the best decision possible.
the thing is in high ranks wu chang cannot trap survivors, as for example, you trapped minds eye when she wanted to vault the window, well in high ranks there are survivors waiting for you to grab your umbrella back and then they will vault it (window), since you need 2-3 seconds to grab umbrella back
True, but I believe that is not the only points I've tried to make in this video.
Playing as Hunter, it is crucial to have a calculated game plan, even during the chase itself. As for your point in particular, the dance becomes important, on how we would move back and forth and how far is she from the window, that I could recall my umbrella and still able to hit, taking into consideration that Helena also have vaulting debuff.

I'm not sure what is it, but if I have to take a guess, it's when this both happens:
1. Surv got hit by bell and has inverse control activated.
2. Surv also got fully soul siphoned.
When this both triggers, the surv movement + interaction speed is greatly reduced, by about 50-60%.
But it is incredibly difficult to land it, so it's quite the sight when you managed...

As a (more likely to be) Wu chang main who used to be an axe boy main, IN GENERAL this helps because I'd always get annoyed by perfumers who are actually usuing their ability right, and ciphers would fly right over my head. Thanks a ton

stopping when you hear cane is pretty useless, you hear cane a split second after she does it and they can see where you're going anyway. your best bet is to start moving towards where the cane's noise came from, as you can tell if you're using headphones. this is advice from S tier undead :))

Yes definitely so! What I intend to show, is to always have a game plan, no matter what tier you're at. Having a rigid and unadaptive playstyle is a one way ticket to Loseville.

When i started to play identity v i have seen many hunters camp and i hated it and when i played hunter i would never camp because i did not want to be like them but now that im a lot better i know how to deal with campers and i Still don't camp.

Hello! For starting hunters, I'd recommend Jack the Ripper, and Mary the Bloody Queen. They're among the more direct and easier to pilot. But this does not mean their skill ceiling is low!
Also, as you're new to Hunter, I'd recommend you to watch my Guide to Hunter series. While it is still WIP, I believe you'll learn many important skills.

What is tilt timer? And I want to ask the best persona for some maps like lakeside village, I main Wu Chang and never change the persona I always borrow 126 persona
Tilt timer is basically my own clock to time myself playing on tilt, i.e. tunneling HARD on perfumer. By putting the timer in the video, I can put concrete visual proof that I've spent too much time trying to down the 1st perfumer.
My persona always changes, depending on surv line up and map.
My default is Detention, Wanted Order, and Destructiveness Lvl 3. That leaves me with 15 points.
Micro stunners (prosp, ench, priestess): Desperate Fight
Heal debuff (ench, merc, perf): Impact
Arms fac, Hospital: Confined Space

Be aware though! My persona is very specific to my own playstyle that is NoCamp. While I am highly efficient with it, it may not necessarily work for you!

Any tips for a beginner trying to main a hunter? I just started playing like a week ago and it was pretty hard to be a hunter, i didn't really understand some of the tips you gave probably because i am a beginner, but some of them definitely helped me.
So anyway, my problem is that idk how to deal with them looping around the place, also the survivors are literally bullying me with their abilities, they have stuns and even a fkin portal, i couldn't even do anything about it, it's some bullsh*t man. Anyway, your videos are great.

6:33 after you use the bell,you can just hit/walk through,because they would have to do the calibration making them not able to drop the pallet instantly :))
Actually that doesn't work in higher tiers as they will fail the calibration on purpose and then hit you with the pallet.

I never bring Trump Card in my persona.
I also don’t really like changing to Abnormal for end game, as it’ll be useless during Gate War.
If cipher is primed, surv can still pop during the Abnormal animation, which will really screw you over.

1. What is shaking cipher? I really can't tell which ones are shaking and which ones aren't; it's really hard to tell for me
2. What's primed cipher?
3. What does it mean when a survivor's picture on the top right becomes kinda red?
Dude of course you can ask! I'm more than happy to help!
1. A cipher shakes when it is being decoded. The higher the progress %, the more vigorous it shakes.
I'll link you the video on how to observe this.
2. Primed cipher is when the final cipher is at 99% progress. That way, the moment it completes, every survivor would be healed and gain 50% movement speed bonus for 5 seconds, thanks to Borrowed Time trait.
The way this is usually timed, is when hunter lands a hit on any survivor, so the survs can gain maximum distance while the hunter is in a blade wipe motion.
3. It is the Wanted Order trait, where Hunter gains full visibility to him/her.

But i'm a n00b hunter who likes wu chang i would like to main him but the problem is i miss blink and can't umbrella trick them and they mind game me near the pallets even if i break them i'm being tricked and can't get them even with patroller! idk what to do then:/ i'm a newbie hunter but i would rate my gameplay with him to 50%out of 100 i do win and try to camp sometimes but the pallets are the problem by me 🥲 so by me is either you get them at the start by teleporting right to the machines and hit so they can't kite much or you lose

There are many ways to playing WC, he's perhaps one of the most versatile hunter there is. But also requires very good macro (map pressure and cipher progress sense) from the pilot.

'Save March Replay' and turn it On.
After each game, you will find a button to save replay on the left side
