    First time was GREAT! Please don’t let the children ruin it for the rest of us, we love watching your videos. It was probably the filter on the camera! Haha

    Those negative nancys and kondescending karens make the whole world miserable.
    "That's illegal!" "I called the Gubmint on you!" "My family ain't never dun it that way, so yer wrong."
    The HAM world is full of them.
    I was looking for info on a Rotax the other day, found it on some kitplane forum. Started reading around a bit more. So many negative comments.
    Keep making your videos. I learn from them.
    I also learn (what not to do) from those FCB videos.

    I live and fly in the Willamette Valley and there’s nothing wrong with that weather. There’s a hundred airports and a thousand fields to land in so it’s pretty hard to get in too much trouble plus it’s usually only MVFR in one area and good flying a few miles away so you always have an out.

    Thanks for sharing this amazing beautiful footage. Please don’t stop! I have learned so much from you. Setting personal minimums was actually something you touched on many videos back which influenced me to set these minimums and stick to them. So…I for one can say you have made me a much safer pilot. My mission is totally different, my aircraft, experience, everything is different but the concepts of careful airmanship is the same. Please continue educating (and entertaining us). You make a huge difference and are an inspiration of getting the most out of life. It’s a great big adventure to be had but do it safely and you do!

    Greg, I enjoy your videos more than anyone else’s on here. And I like several of the aviators who post on UA-cam. The difference is you aren’t selling some line of bullshit so you tell it like it is. You don’t sugar coat stuff. You’re as demanding of yourself as you are anyone else. In fact I think you’re harder on yourself than you are others because you have a higher standard you hold yourself to and I admire that. You know what the hell you’re talking about which is more than these other candy asses can say. You also know every nut and bolt on every piece of equipment you have. Combine that with the overall experience you have in the cockpit and I believe that makes you the most qualified to decide whether or not the soup you’re flying in is too thick!!! BTW…….where’s Bumble Bee been hiding?? Lol 😂 Oh, and I also meant to ask….is the J-3 okay after hitting the kayaker? I mean of course I care about the person but that poor old Cub needs our support too🤠👍

    Beautiful job. Some people routinely miss their opportunity to shut up. For some reason they get joy out of attempting to ruin a mans ability to enjoy his own freedoms especially when it doesn’t interfere with anyone else’s.

    What great skill and judgement. Your playground is paradise and I say that as an atheist. BUT, that final approach to your strip is, wow wow wow and WOW again. Cheers. Sorry to learn you may stop posting to You Tube.

    Do you use your brakes on the cub pretty much like you do with the Maule? Brakes basically on at landing….? Love your work and would love to know more about your technique. Thanks for the videos.

    • @mauleguy
      @mauleguy  3 роки тому

      No, I am a little less heavy on the brakes with the cub.

  • @Billday2
    @Billday2 3 роки тому +1

    Is your Maule in the “experimental exhibition” category? Just very curious about how it became experimental and how to go about it. Thanks!

    • @mauleguy
      @mauleguy  3 роки тому

      Nope just regular old experimental category. I did it in 2004, probably a little easier back then. I never had a whole airplane just a few parts when I started the project.

    The free caste-ring tailwheel I believe was the term you used in a previous video my thoughts were you are graining more rudder authority without feeling the jarring back and forth input the tailwheel gives you increasing directional control is my thought process correct I want to try it in my airplane
    Thanks
