Order any video V1-V5 and get another one of your choice for free plus you get Idaho Backcountry and Study of STOL. So for 29.95 + S/H you get 4 DVD's. Remember to tell me what you want for the free DVD in the comments section when you order. If you don't I will make the decision for you!
I continue where I left off from the last video. I land another 15 gravel bars and I share more information and stories. I try to answer most questions that come my way in the comment section if I have any input. Thanks for watching!
Thank you to Nflight for the communications cable and other clamps I use www.nflightcam.com/collection...

Hey Greg, you mentioned getting Study of STOL with purchase of another video. Is there a coupon code I need to use or something?
No Coupon needed,. Just buy a DVD you would like and in the comments for the order tell me another DVD you want for free. The Study of STOL and Idaho Backcountry are already included in the purchase.
So much great information here! Thanks Greg
Brilliant advice 🙌🏼
I had 2 Uncles who were Bush Pilots in Alaska.Sasseen was one. I grew up in Anchorage.
Beautiful plane
Very nice👍👍Thanks
Love the videos! Hopefully one day i can afford a tail wheel airplane
Very nice land at the end. kinda intimidating lol
You would rock at a cub podcast!
I think I would be most puckered on the last landing @ Home. Great video.
Man I enjoyed that!! I really appreciate hearing about your experiences and the wisdom you offer from a “this is what has worked for me or hasn’t” perspective. My first stick and rudder experience was in gliders. We didn’t have stall horns in them either but you get a feel for the airplane and you know when she’s about to quit flying. I think becoming too dependent on any one thing in general isn’t a real good idea. Riding along with you is very therapeutic Greg! Thanks Bro!!!
Thank you Rob.
Sure like that camera angle from the top of the cabin. Great video
Thanks Man, wished we were closer we could hit the bars together!
Excellent and I have selected my mentor a long time ago, he seems too busy though…
Nice video. I have some of your DVD's, but I think I'll take you up on your DVD special offer if nothing else but to support you sharing your passion on UA-cam.
I always enjoy your films and all of the take offs/landings. It is really nice how spotless your canopy and filmed areas of plane always looks brand new. Thanks.
I just love the wisdom and confidence. Thank you for taking us along , just beautiful Greg.
Glad you enjoyed it
Just getting around to watching part 2. Thanks for your insight.
As you said finding a mentor for this sort of activity is right on the spot. A few years ago I had my first gravel bar experience in the back seat of a friends SuperCub on the Skagit. I was hooked. I’ve had a great mentor to fly with, and learn from. Most of the time now I fly alone , but when we team up it’s a lot more fun, and I always pickup something new. Another good video. Thanks!
Another great one Greg. You are the best! Thanks for sharing with all of us. George
My pleasure!
Great video and thanks for the safety tips. I will remember.
Very enjoyable to watch! Great flying and scenery!! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great flying video! Good job Greg. I enjoy your videos and am going to buy a DVD. That’s a good deal. Thanks
Awesome! Thank you!
This was awesome. I enjoy the videos where you're explaining what you're doing and thinking, speeds, etc. It's really interesting.
Thank you, Thanks to Nflight for the communications cable they make some good stuff for this. www.nflightcam.com/collections/cables
Even though most of us would not be able do this specific flying with our airplanes (me and my 185, for example), this information still applies to much of what we can do. Any info that makes one think about backcountry flying is good info. Thanks for doing this.
It confirms what I’ve always said. If I need bigger tires than 8.50’s on my 185, I need a Super Cub.
Are you going to be instructing in Idaho this year
@@mauleguy Yes. Have clients with a Beaver, Skywagons and a 182 all eager to experience the Frank Church. Probably not going to AK this year. Engine overhaul on our 185 will probably conflict with most, if not all, of our AK summer. 🤬
@@mauleguy Just heard from Kiere at Sulphur Creek Ranch. Due to last year’s fire they aren’t going to open this year. They’re concerned with injury due to dead trees failing and damage to their hydro-electric system. I’m hoping there could be a volunteer effort by RAF, IAA, IAF and/or others interested in perpetuating the historic Sulphur Creek Ranch as a backcountry destination.
Excellent, Sir!
Fun flying as always
I just got back into flying and THIS is the kind of flying I love. Your commentary is great, informative and engaging. I'm in the Willamette valley near lebanon...let's fly together sometime.
Maybe some day we can!
Thanks as always
Awesome video, really really like all the story’s and info while your out flying those gravel bars! You also nailed it with the camera mounts and the panning during the flying! Thanks for taking the time to put these videos together
Thank you
In a video years ago of Chuck Yeager, checking out a later model fighter. He asked the person giving him the tour of the plane. What the heck is this thing fur? as he pointed to an unfamiliar instrument on the panel. The guy responded, That's your angle of attack indicator. Yeager responded. Heck if you need that to tell you your angle of attack, then ya have no business being in the cockpit.
Good story!
Wow your home final is intense !
Awesome series! I'd love to see video from the ground of your approach into your home strip.
Really old footage, things have gotten taller. ua-cam.com/video/MQkdtHM-w7I/v-deo.html
Good stuff Greg! Love it. Like to meet you someday.
That would be great.
your home strip looks sketchier than any gravel bar
Thanks. Your videos make me want a bigger hangar, can't fit a Supercub in with my 182 now :-(
You could make it work with a lift maybe:))
Good stuff! You have the O320 in that one?
Flying here on MSFS later today :-)
I just figured out what MSFS is! Have fun be safe and thing ahead of that simulator.
Awesome Greg! Man I've enjoyed these two videos so much...a real taste of what the DVD's are like. Love that Cub. You going with the same scheme with the 4 place?
I have not decided for sure I paint scheme but probably yellow and black. Most likely I will keep it simple.
Thanks for all the info, as always. I can't help but wonder if the people living in the house at 27:06 have put in some complaints about the approach path that they're just about under... I'm sure it must make a pretty cool view from their property though.
It is just being built.... Ugh
Hey Greg, what do you think about raising the flaps right after touchdown?
15:09 Is that a fire ahead to your right?
I think that was a cabin with a fireplace
👏👏👏👏🎸
Perfekt landen en opstijgen..
Another awesome video! Thank you sharing. I’m going to buy some stuff after this!
