ahh i love this type of videos!! helps me motivate myself to read simultaneously with them. i'm reading pride and prejudice right now & it's kinda hard bc i'm not a native english speaker so it's taking me a while to finish it..😅
Ooooh! Is it hard to understand? I have already read some books in English and I just bought it but for some reasons I’m so scared about the language :(
@@annaelle_stasia you can definitely do it!! while reading i looked up and wrote down a lot of vocabulary but the story itself isn't hard to understand i think, just takes more time than other books :)
@@annaelle_stasia not unless you literally annotate so much. oftentimes a 10hr book will cost me a collateral 1-2 hours in total for annotations since my thing is underlining when i wanna add thoughts, write them and add a tab to come back to it later. it is much faster when you’re not looking to seem aesthetic
I’ve only done it with books I’ve read before. For me, it’s a way to, in a way, hyper focus on things that happen or connections throughout the book; it can bring you ‘closer’ to the book; in my case, it kinda helps with retaining what I’m reading cause the way I engage with the text. In a recent case, I noticed all the foreshadowing and in taking notes, it felt like I was on the inside track. But, it’s different for everyone.
Love how this annotation technique is so similar to my own. I admire people who have really artsy annotations and those who have specific organized styles. But this is exactly how I annotate too. Lots of notes, tabs and post-its. Less highlighting, but I want to try adding that in to see if that elevates my reading.
I want to do this with my books especially my harry potter books because I just love them and want to look back on them. I dont want to ruin it though with my writing or adding tabs, Ive seen see through post it notes and I really want to try them out and making sure that them or the tabs dont eave any residue is a big thing for me especially with my beloved harry potter books.
The tabs that she had doesn't leave any residue nor damage the book at all :), transparent sticky notes are very good to use if you don't want to damage the book.
i’m definitely too late to this video haha! I just had a question, do you tab everything you highlight? i’ve noticed that you didn’t and was wondering why you tab some parts and why you don’t tab on others. this video is amazing btw!!
me want to read my book that I postpone reading for 1 or 2 weeks I think that after the end of the video I will read finally 😭😭OH YES and I subscribed to your insta
I absolutely love your tiktok account, some days your uploads are the only thing going on for me.. I will try to watch this video as I try to read cause I'm incredibly anxious and can't really focus on my book.
Heavily annotated books are so aesthetically pleasing to me

ahh i hope it helps!! maybe try to read something light and fun!
hi i know this was 5 months ago, but i recommend reading children’s books first to loosen your reading slump. good luck
Please continue to make more of this. It's nice to feel like I'm annotating with a friend. Have a great one!😊😊
I have a similar annotation-style and was wondering how you motivate yourself to read when it takes so long to go through even one page of a book.
Honestly I don’t know… this why I don’t write in books, because it’s seems so energy-taking to read with this way

I can’t bring myself to write in books but love watching it
If you want to annotate and not write in the books try having a separate journal for it or use some stickynotes!
Please make more of these! I find these so relaxing and I don't know why exactly lol.
