It’s not what I’m doing currently (I’m reading a really interesting book about Yōkai by Michael Dylan Foster) but hearing the sticky notes and stationary reminded me that I want to try annotating a book as a gift for a friend.
My childhood best friend is an English major and huge bookworm, and I’ve been trying to think of a good Christmas gift for her, and I might buy a second copy of my favorite book, Circe, reread it (again) and annotate my favorite lines/write about why it’s my favorite. I’m just not sure how to start with annotating :’)

How is annotating a book destroying it? Many schools will provide their students with books and then ask them to annotate it to get a better and deeper understanding of what they're reading/or a grade, is it destroying a book then too? Annotating a book hurts nobody. Go do something better with your life instead of hating on other people.
