This is vaguely similar to an unfinished SCP draft that I was working on back when series 6 first came out. The idea revolved around a peace lily that would feed off the anomalous effects of nearby SCPs and render them harmless, but either through carelessness or malicious intent, it would be destroyed.
that actually sounds really cool, I could imagine an alternate canon where this plant was accidentally made in the Foundation and actually stopped anomalous things from popping up, or it got so good that it started killing things that had anomalous properties (O5 included)
That doesn't sound like a bad idea and there's so much you could do with it, like killing/destroying positive anomalies, absorbing non anomalous effects like human's ability to breath or even becoming more and more anomalous as time passes.
So what I'm getting is that they are plants that glow when near each other, like to grow near any anomalies (especially alive ones), and give off effects based off what they are fed/experiences they've been through (exp: helping people's allergies after getting fertilizer)?
Well also apparently each "child" plant that comes from the original can grow into various different kinds of plants, and they each seem to have their own unique anomalous properties that they give to people. That's what I gathered anyways. I think the different effects they give are unique to the individual plant, not what you feed them. What you feed them just seems to affect how healthy they are.
