I think it would be better to categorize not by the arbitrary roles set by Riot but by more accurate, specific roles. For example, "duelist" has two distinct playstyles: Divers and Fighters. Divers are Jett, Neon, Raze, and Yoru, and Fighters are Phoenix, Reyna, Chamber, and Yoru. Some classes might overlap based on their traits. Divers use their body to make space, usually requiring a teammate to set them up in order to be effective. Fighters use utility to take pure 1v1 fights. Here's what I think the class layout should really look like: Diver: Jett, Neon, Raze, Yoru Fighter: Phoenix, Reyna, Chamber, Yoru Information: Sova, Fade, Skye, Kay/O Flashes: Breach, Skye, Kay/O Area Denial: Breach, Sage, Killjoy, Brimstone Anchor: Cypher, Killjoy, Chamber, Viper, Astra Smokes: Omen, Astra, Brimstone, Viper I personally prefer this type of role classification because, generally speaking, a player who is proficient with one agent in a subclass should be able to play any other agent in the same subclass with relative ease. For example, a Jett main would likely find it easier to switch to Raze than to Phoenix. This is a big part of why the Flash initiator role is often called Flex, because a player who plays Breach on most maps would have an easier time swapping to Sage on Icebox than, for example, an information player.
Reyna, phoenix is what most players refer to as the secondary duelist. yes u can use her to create space but she's really not the best at it. Like you said, her job is to follow the Jett/neon/raze/yoru in and get the trade/flash. Part of the reason why she sees less game time is because of how the meta is right now i.e. double initiator meta. All initiators with the exception of sova have the utility to take fights and they can follow the duelist in and get the trade/support. Basically does whatever Reyna does but because initiators have utility that supports the team, most players choose initiators over a Reyna.
There's one more important sub-class : Lurker Omen, Astra, Cypher, and Sova too if you have Average in your name is built for lurk. Omen is the best at this job tho. Lurker main role is to catch enemy by surprise early on and split enemy forces later on once they knew you gonna lurk. Just having one person watching flank is already a huge advantage
@@ccc34678 as a phoenix main im laughing so hard at this... from the 2 years ive been playing i've never had a jett or raze or neon or anyone in front of me.. i always do the entry and they always shift behind me (the always its a bit exaggerating but a good 80% of the time thats what happens)
I think initiators are my go to. I want to be able to force enemies out of their position and scan/scout with abilities. And once its settled i love to hold points. (Spike planted or dropped) I feel like Kay/o has me interested the most. Im very new to this genre so basic tips to Kay/0 or perhaps Fade are welcome if anyone reads this :D.
@@mechakucha_ im practicing right clicks a lot, i feel like just banging them against the wall, looking away for a second and pushing in works really well. For line ups and stuff i ahve no clue at all so far, but yeah, a bit of safety for knives would be sweet. Makes sense

For me personally, Initiators and specifically Kay/o or Skye is my calling. The fact that you can help your team and be a selfish semi-duelist at the same time. Recently my friends started to play so I'm quite excited that I could communicate with my friends instead of hearing 3 people moaning.

I’d like to correct you on one thing: a duelists job is not to get kills, it is to be aggressive with their until which helps them with said aggressiveness. Kills are a side effect of going on site first, because u r the first ones on site and find the enemies first. Everything else in your video is great, but with your logic a lurking duelist is ok as long as they get kills which is not the case. :)
When did he say that duelists only get kills? He specifically said that duelists main purpose is to gain space while pushing onto site for the team and being first contact
Initiator is also a good IGL role, especially on attack. I feel like that is worth mentioning. Your entire point is to gather info and clear site for a push. The team needs to know that info, and telling them what to do with that info is a good idea. Especially in lower elos. The whole passive aggresive thing is the whole reason I main initiator. You can play more passive and gather info then with that info play super aggresive without worrying as much.
I already found my main to be fade or sova since i love their playstyles. I like gathering info for my team and use my utility to help my team but also have the ability to play for myself. More often than not though, i end up not playing those two because of situations. When i play 5man with my friends, none of them can play duelist so i end up playing jett/raze most of the time. On the other hand, if i play solo, my randoms suck at playing smokes that i just end up playing viper/omen/brim.
Extra tip, like chamber, there are other agents that have can do other roles too, they are great for maining since they are very versatile and in situations where duelist dies, you can fill it with another agent that has great entry tools. However, their main role are still much more important than the “secondary” role, if your team already has 2 initiator, go pick another role. Here some of the mixed agents: Viper Controller and Sentinel mix Yoru Duelist and Initiator mix Chamber Sentinel and Duelist mix Kay/o is dumb and can do everything but smoke Skye Initiator and Duelist mix Breach Initiator and Sentinel mix Remember that being a sentinel isn’t only watching flank, it’s about how good of an anchor you are so characters like Sage, Viper and Breach can’t watch flanks, but very great at stalling a push
@Vthir if that were the case, then Jett would be a mix controller, I don’t consider her and cypher to be mixed since their abilities aren’t on par with an actual controller or initiator to be considered a mixed character. Cypher cam is a great intel tool, but it can be very inconsistent to use as something that can get close to being a sova drone, skye dog, fade prowler and etc. I won’t argue against his ult, while it isn’t the strongest thing in the world and it needs a kill, knowing that there is only 2 guys and their general direction on the bomb site helps a lot for entry, but just his ult isn’t enough to justify cypher to be a mixed character, he is a sentinel at core and can’t out do an initiator on any map. But that’s just my opinion, I feel like for a character to be a mixed agent they need to be on par with the other roles, every agent will have some tidbits of other roles, but not all of them have enough to be on par with multiple roles
I think I like to play Skye, Neon, Raze, Sage, Viper, and KJ, usually just filling in whatever i think the team needs or whichever agent I feel most comfortable with on the map.
I like how you include no prejudice to any of the agents and keeping an open mind by pointing out that it’s kit is not bad but can be used in different scenarios
I mean technically they're the only ones allowed to do so, because fragging out isn't their job, it's to take space by taking fights and thus you end up putting your head on the line Sentinels are way worse culprits here, their job is to literally hold space and stay alive as long as possible

This is why they should be able to atleast midfrag-topfrag (by default). Even if they are going in first they are still supported by controller smokes, initiator flash/dog/stun/reveal. this is in a so called "perfect world" tho
You mean entry frag, right? Because that's what duelists are by design made to do. Lurking is better for a controller. After a duelist takes site, a lurk might be useful, but if you're just lurking on duelist you are not playing your class correctly.

personally i like dualists but my favorite is raze currently because of the jumps and so many plays you could do it just feels like my type of playstyle
another thing that wasnt touched on some duelists are unique characters like reyna are extremely good lurkers since they can fight on their own so if you dont like playing with a team someone like her or jett could be useful
You're wrong, best lurkers are those, who can affect the map, though not being present. For example viper can throw a wall on site and activate it while being on the other one. Yoru can throw his tp to the site where his team needs him, and tp after unsuccessful/successful lurk to help the team get on site. Reyna can not help her team in any way If lurk is unsuccessful, or the site push is unsuccessful. Duelist are not made for lurking. Duelist are made for creating space and getting on site, they help their team only by entering on site and getting kills. Lurking only gives you kills, but not entering, so it's ineffective to play duelists like that. Yoru is an exception cuz he is not really a duelist, more of an initiator. Actually imo controllers like viper omen and astra are the best lurkers, though they are very risky and if you want to lurk on them you have to be successful with it because your utility is indispensable when getting on site, if you die its - 50 % chance with planting the spike. That's why you need to either throw you util early or have complete control over the map and feel the push's flow.

Ever since I started playing, I love initiators. I've mostly been maining Sova, but recently I've picked up Gekko. Sova's dart plays are so fun and satisfying when it works, and gekko plays as more of an aggressive initiator, but when needed, his wingman and flash are super good, and the moshpit lines ups are great for post, and thrash is one of the best ults in the game right now. He's great for new players and experience alike, although moshpit will take some time to master. Definetly recommend
Just need to say that as a cypher main having a cypher on your team is probably the most useful agent for your team because they can lock down a site all by themselves
I have started to play initiator because of fade. I love fade and her kit. This season I’ve been swapping between fade and Kay-o. They feel amazing and I feel the most comfortable which to me is big thing
THIS is what’s truly holding you back in climbing ranked. You really gotta start putting in time maining 1 or 2 agents. A same agent vs agent diff is game changing. A very good Raze vs a mediocre Raze in lower rank is a bigger advantage than you think. edit: tl;dr filling is what’s holding you back from improving. You need to be confident when picking an agent.
I fully agree with this. Used to fill alot for my team till I started picking up both sova and fade and I can't describe just how much my overall gameplay got better and how much more success my team has found. Helped me push out of bronze 1 to silver 1 in 2 days tops even tho i was stuck in bronze for a good while
I just started playing valorant as I have just switched to pc, I have picked up reyna and this has helped me as I have to force my self into fights and I have noticed a huge increase in skill
When I downloaded Valorant I played my first few rounds with a friend. He used KAY/O and I was like "These Abilities are great!" and now I am a KAY/O Main. So I found my Agent in the first few rounds of playing Valo!
I first started with Fade and I’ve got used to her a lot and I feel like I utilize most of her powers well unlike most people that I see play her however, I’ve tried Skye in the practice lobby and in my opinion she’s like Fade but with more useful tools so I’m working to get her agent next
Really blows how in ascendant, everyones just locking duelists now even when they dont do their role, while before it wasnt AS bad. Its insane. I see 3 people insta lock duelists, and afterwards the 4th person was was originally locking an initiator ends up locking a duelist too -_- I can never play an agent I actually want to in my elo anymore since everyone instalocks assuming others will fill for them and it drives me crazy. I can play controller well but do I want to main them? NO! I always get terrible instalocks such as jetts or reynas who never entry in ASCENDANT ELO. They play like gold players, and whiff an entire mag on enemies who arent even looking at them. I hate how I’ve run into so many games where I have to entry as a controller. And at the same time get complained that I don’t smoke even though I do and their small brains can’t understand that controllers dont have INFINITE SMOKES. When I see my stats on duelists, (its rare occasions of when I actually can play a duelist btw cuz I dont instalock,) they are really good stats. I really wish valorant made a system where you can’t be a duelist if you dont entry properly for your team, or dont get a lot of first bloods. I want these shitty useless jett and reyna instalocks that never entry out of here.
Tbh most people want to be the shining star duelist, but almost all of them for the wrong reason. They wanna go 10/0 and start lurking to not lose kda, but it's literally our job to take those riskier fights in order to create space for the team. Like going into site, comm'ing where enemies are and then getting killed is already doing your job. If your team follows that by trading you out you have all the space you need!
I know this is late but I love playing sova and cypher, they both gain so much information and can deal a lot of damage without risk with Sova's shockdarts and Cypher's one ways.

Do you see yourself as more of a leader and wanna be more in control of how a round plays out? --Nope. Not when I'm semi-bot fragging most games. Smokes are useful though, so when I use them and other utils before I die, I was at least helpful. Second main lol
I don know man, chamber is a strong agent but it's not a strong sentinel. Cypher an killjoy can hold a site alone and stop a push, sage can completely negate a portion of the map. Chamber on the other hand is good for info gathering and killing but you definetly want a second sentinel if chamber is the only one in your team
i feel preety comfortable on sage bcs she can go like a duelist block entrance and get some off angles of the wall then heal behind her wall put some slows to easier kill enemies and boom u just got urself an ace
It’s so hard to find out man. I’m an adapter. My aim is like mid Diamond level, my brain is top Ascendent. I adapt to the circumstances of the game. I’m a great anchor and lurker (I exploit given spaces very easily), I can Support decently and if my team is good at throwing utility I can entry cause I don’t have bad aim. My best half ever was a 29-3 defending Icebox (I’m not joking I swear) with Chamber. He got nerfed hard and since then I don’t really know what to use
I started val back in beta and at that time I chose jett. Who was considered the worst agent from a competitive standpoint. I was just drawn to her and when she became the best agent all I could do was laugh. Now she's not the best agent but she is really cool and fun if you can get used to her.
Great video Sena! I now know that initiators are perfect for my playstyle but I don't play them at all. Maybe that is the reason why i play bad sometimes but sometimes pop off. I think that might be a reason.
After playing valorant for over a month I definetly have become a Cypher main, but also like to play with duelists(Yoru, Raze and Jett). But Cypher has my whole heart, his personality and gameplay rlly fit me :D
I love to play Skye. Ever since I started playing Valorant back in February this year I knew she would be a great agent for me. I mained her for 4 months then took a break from her to try other agents. But now I’m using her again and her flashes are absolutely insane. Almost clutched a clean 1v5, two of those kills were from a Skye flash. Flashed a ulting Neon and she couldn’t do anything. Skye flashes are the best in the game because you can flash at anytime. Kayo’s flash might be good too but you have to wait a little bit more for it to pop.

I think to be truly good at a game, you should be able to play every character, not at a top level, but a high one. You know you understand the game when no matter what role, what character, what map, you can still win. That’s how you know you are that guy
Sova is perfect for me. A support duellist. Can't rely on team mates to frag out, can't rely on them to support. So was real happy when I discovered ages ago Sova could do both .

I started out as a sentinel main but switched to duelist since that suits my playstyle better, i used to play entry on cs and push every fight on apex. I don't know why i suffered with sentinel playstyle for a long time honestly. I do flex to initiator when needed.
most of the time i have many importing things that need to be good at least for me to end up RLY playing them. Is he looking cool, how are the voice lines and the personality, how is the kit, is it fun to play the character, yes i need every information XD
So, my playstyle is usually sneaky, lurk/flank, and clutching, so naturally I play... Sentinel? Killjoy is insane post-plant, swarm nades are great for zoning people out of defusing or cutting off the quick way to defuse spike. Also, using turret to force another target onto them and using it as a meat shield for a dangerous peek... Not to mention her ult. It's not a disable as much as it zones and forces enemies hands.
I’m still new I’m level 5 and the first agent I played was Jett, I still play her because she’s an awesome character, and for the first agent that you can unlock or recruit was omen. I don’t know if this was a good idea I haven’t used him yet but I got him for the first agent I was able to recruit.

Hey Sena, chances of you seeing this are pretty low but may as well give it a shot. I’m currently sitting at about a 42% win rate this act, and have been hard stuck silver 3 for months now. In some of your videos you’ve said that I have to hold myself accountable, but I consistently drop 25+ kills almost every game and so does my duo. My aim isn’t my problem, and neither is my crosshair placement I don’t think, considering I have a 27% headshot percentage. I main kayo and fade and am just not sure what to do anymore
Im pretty sure picking something like Jett (duelist), Chamber (Psuedo Sentinel), Omen (Controller) or Kayo (Initiator), I think getting comfortable with picks like this actually taught me a lot and its overall pretty balance
about your pairing initiators i agree bc i did that as sova with the kayo on my team and he would throw his knife and i would shoot my dart in the same spot and it was so op
i honestly just accepted that im terrible at entrying and im more of a passive player in general. probably why i play almost every agent besides the duelists.
skye fits my plystyle so well cause you can play for yourself and team so you dont rely on anyone and you dont play selfishly and arnt usless if you arnt fraging

i would say play sage first to get an understanding, passive and support role and main a duelist Playing control requires are a lot of understanding so control js the last thing a newbie should pick.
I regret not starting off with sentinels or let's just say chamber I was way to focused on either sitting back and trying to make use of my smokes or set ups instead of learning my confidence and practicing my patience and aim with things I usually just shot before I even had my cursor on someone but now I main Reyna and chamber and have learned how to entry and actually prove my worth on a team
Sage was my first picked agent and even after 3 years I think I still main her she just works for me like I can be selfish and use the walls for myself but I can heal my team and still be helpfull or I can be cringe and use my walls in stupid ways
Good Video! I mained like almost every Agent and I have to say that I liked Viper, Omen and Chamber the most, just because I am not the most aggressive player. When I am feeling confident tho I like to go for some flashy Chamber plays. Btw. could you make like a "How to improve reaction time video." I am pretty slow.
reaction time is pretty, pretty much genetics. what workt for me against too slow shoting an enemie was just higher my sens and let my muscles work for me

i dont rlly play those but for fade i think u could learn those bungee lineups
learn fade lineups, kayo knife lineups, get good at right clicking kayo flash, learn one way kayo flashes, use your mic a lot

Extra tip, like chamber, there are other agents that have can do other roles too, they are great for maining since they are very versatile and in situations where duelist dies, you can fill it with another agent that has great entry tools. However, their main role are still much more important than the “secondary” role, if your team already has 2 initiator, go pick another role. Here some of the mixed agents:
Viper Controller and Sentinel mix
Yoru Duelist and Initiator mix
Chamber Sentinel and Duelist mix
Kay/o is dumb and can do everything but smoke
Skye Initiator and Duelist mix
Breach Initiator and Sentinel mix
Remember that being a sentinel isn’t only watching flank, it’s about how good of an anchor you are so characters like Sage, Viper and Breach can’t watch flanks, but very great at stalling a push

@Vthir if that were the case, then Jett would be a mix controller, I don’t consider her and cypher to be mixed since their abilities aren’t on par with an actual controller or initiator to be considered a mixed character. Cypher cam is a great intel tool, but it can be very inconsistent to use as something that can get close to being a sova drone, skye dog, fade prowler and etc. I won’t argue against his ult, while it isn’t the strongest thing in the world and it needs a kill, knowing that there is only 2 guys and their general direction on the bomb site helps a lot for entry, but just his ult isn’t enough to justify cypher to be a mixed character, he is a sentinel at core and can’t out do an initiator on any map. But that’s just my opinion, I feel like for a character to be a mixed agent they need to be on par with the other roles, every agent will have some tidbits of other roles, but not all of them have enough to be on par with multiple roles

This is why they should be able to atleast midfrag-topfrag (by default). Even if they are going in first they are still supported by controller smokes, initiator flash/dog/stun/reveal. this is in a so called "perfect world" tho

Lurking is better for a controller. After a duelist takes site, a lurk might be useful, but if you're just lurking on duelist you are not playing your class correctly.

sometimes with a no duelist comp on breeze I have to entry as viper because everyone else doesn't enter because they are not a duelist🤦♀️ that excuse is so lame coming from a kayo or chamber. not sure if a sage with ult entering first is worse than a viper entry but a viper entry is the worst😂
personally i like dualists but my favorite is raze currently because of the jumps and so many plays you could do it just feels like my type of playstyle
another thing that wasnt touched on some duelists are unique characters like reyna are extremely good lurkers since they can fight on their own so if you dont like playing with a team someone like her or jett could be useful

You're wrong, best lurkers are those, who can affect the map, though not being present. For example viper can throw a wall on site and activate it while being on the other one. Yoru can throw his tp to the site where his team needs him, and tp after unsuccessful/successful lurk to help the team get on site. Reyna can not help her team in any way If lurk is unsuccessful, or the site push is unsuccessful. Duelist are not made for lurking. Duelist are made for creating space and getting on site, they help their team only by entering on site and getting kills. Lurking only gives you kills, but not entering, so it's ineffective to play duelists like that. Yoru is an exception cuz he is not really a duelist, more of an initiator. Actually imo controllers like viper omen and astra are the best lurkers, though they are very risky and if you want to lurk on them you have to be successful with it because your utility is indispensable when getting on site, if you die its - 50 % chance with planting the spike. That's why you need to either throw you util early or have complete control over the map and feel the push's flow.

Ever since I started playing, I love initiators. I've mostly been maining Sova, but recently I've picked up Gekko. Sova's dart plays are so fun and satisfying when it works, and gekko plays as more of an aggressive initiator, but when needed, his wingman and flash are super good, and the moshpit lines ups are great for post, and thrash is one of the best ults in the game right now. He's great for new players and experience alike, although moshpit will take some time to master. Definetly recommend

I have started to play initiator because of fade. I love fade and her kit. This season I’ve been swapping between fade and Kay-o. They feel amazing and I feel the most comfortable which to me is big thing
THIS is what’s truly holding you back in climbing ranked. You really gotta start putting in time maining 1 or 2 agents. A same agent vs agent diff is game changing. A very good Raze vs a mediocre Raze in lower rank is a bigger advantage than you think.
edit: tl;dr filling is what’s holding you back from improving. You need to be confident when picking an agent.
I fully agree with this. Used to fill alot for my team till I started picking up both sova and fade and I can't describe just how much my overall gameplay got better and how much more success my team has found. Helped me push out of bronze 1 to silver 1 in 2 days tops even tho i was stuck in bronze for a good while

I just started playing valorant as I have just switched to pc, I have picked up reyna and this has helped me as I have to force my self into fights and I have noticed a huge increase in skill

When I downloaded Valorant I played my first few rounds with a friend. He used KAY/O and I was like "These Abilities are great!" and now I am a KAY/O Main. So I found my Agent in the first few rounds of playing Valo!
I first started with Fade and I’ve got used to her a lot and I feel like I utilize most of her powers well unlike most people that I see play her however, I’ve tried Skye in the practice lobby and in my opinion she’s like Fade but with more useful tools so I’m working to get her agent next
Really blows how in ascendant, everyones just locking duelists now even when they dont do their role, while before it wasnt AS bad. Its insane. I see 3 people insta lock duelists, and afterwards the 4th person was was originally locking an initiator ends up locking a duelist too -_- I can never play an agent I actually want to in my elo anymore since everyone instalocks assuming others will fill for them and it drives me crazy. I can play controller well but do I want to main them? NO! I always get terrible instalocks such as jetts or reynas who never entry in ASCENDANT ELO. They play like gold players, and whiff an entire mag on enemies who arent even looking at them. I hate how I’ve run into so many games where I have to entry as a controller. And at the same time get complained that I don’t smoke even though I do and their small brains can’t understand that controllers dont have INFINITE SMOKES. When I see my stats on duelists, (its rare occasions of when I actually can play a duelist btw cuz I dont instalock,) they are really good stats. I really wish valorant made a system where you can’t be a duelist if you dont entry properly for your team, or dont get a lot of first bloods. I want these shitty useless jett and reyna instalocks that never entry out of here.
Tbh most people want to be the shining star duelist, but almost all of them for the wrong reason.
They wanna go 10/0 and start lurking to not lose kda, but it's literally our job to take those riskier fights in order to create space for the team.
Like going into site, comm'ing where enemies are and then getting killed is already doing your job. If your team follows that by trading you out you have all the space you need!
I know this is late but I love playing sova and cypher, they both gain so much information and can deal a lot of damage without risk with Sova's shockdarts and Cypher's one ways.
I love playing aggro initiator on defense. Skye and breach are more fun for me this way

The fact that you can carry over the unused utils after you die is a huge game changer for people like me, who mainly plays CS:GO.

I don know man, chamber is a strong agent but it's not a strong sentinel. Cypher an killjoy can hold a site alone and stop a push, sage can completely negate a portion of the map. Chamber on the other hand is good for info gathering and killing but you definetly want a second sentinel if chamber is the only one in your team

i feel preety comfortable on sage bcs she can go like a duelist block entrance and get some off angles of the wall then heal behind her wall put some slows to easier kill enemies and boom u just got urself an ace
It’s so hard to find out man. I’m an adapter. My aim is like mid Diamond level, my brain is top Ascendent. I adapt to the circumstances of the game. I’m a great anchor and lurker (I exploit given spaces very easily), I can Support decently and if my team is good at throwing utility I can entry cause I don’t have bad aim. My best half ever was a 29-3 defending Icebox (I’m not joking I swear) with Chamber. He got nerfed hard and since then I don’t really know what to use
I started val back in beta and at that time I chose jett. Who was considered the worst agent from a competitive standpoint. I was just drawn to her and when she became the best agent all I could do was laugh. Now she's not the best agent but she is really cool and fun if you can get used to her.
I have one main of every category so I can fill ecery role, duellist I play raze(sometimes yoru),sentinel chamber,initiator kayo, smoke Omen/Brim

Great video Sena! I now know that initiators are perfect for my playstyle but I don't play them at all. Maybe that is the reason why i play bad sometimes but sometimes pop off. I think that might be a reason.
After playing valorant for over a month I definetly have become a Cypher main, but also like to play with duelists(Yoru, Raze and Jett). But Cypher has my whole heart, his personality and gameplay rlly fit me :D

I love to play Skye. Ever since I started playing Valorant back in February this year I knew she would be a great agent for me. I mained her for 4 months then took a break from her to try other agents. But now I’m using her again and her flashes are absolutely insane. Almost clutched a clean 1v5, two of those kills were from a Skye flash. Flashed a ulting Neon and she couldn’t do anything. Skye flashes are the best in the game because you can flash at anytime. Kayo’s flash might be good too but you have to wait a little bit more for it to pop.

I think to be truly good at a game, you should be able to play every character, not at a top level, but a high one. You know you understand the game when no matter what role, what character, what map, you can still win. That’s how you know you are that guy
Sova is perfect for me. A support duellist. Can't rely on team mates to frag out, can't rely on them to support. So was real happy when I discovered ages ago Sova could do both .

Im really aggressive and Im an Omen main. I think that Omen is as aggressive as a duelist but can still smoke off areas for your team.

I started out as a sentinel main but switched to duelist since that suits my playstyle better, i used to play entry on cs and push every fight on apex. I don't know why i suffered with sentinel playstyle for a long time honestly. I do flex to initiator when needed.

I wouldn’t really recommend controllers to new players - omen, viper and astra are all quite hard to play well, and brim isn’t exactly easy.

So, my playstyle is usually sneaky, lurk/flank, and clutching, so naturally I play... Sentinel? Killjoy is insane post-plant, swarm nades are great for zoning people out of defusing or cutting off the quick way to defuse spike. Also, using turret to force another target onto them and using it as a meat shield for a dangerous peek... Not to mention her ult. It's not a disable as much as it zones and forces enemies hands.
Pov: you already have like 3 mains and are just seeing how good of a choice you made

I’m still new I’m level 5 and the first agent I played was Jett, I still play her because she’s an awesome character, and for the first agent that you can unlock or recruit was omen. I don’t know if this was a good idea I haven’t used him yet but I got him for the first agent I was able to recruit.
when i had first started out playing valorant, i just knew that duelists would be the category for me as i would frag out every game, getting an average of 20-25 kills......im still pretty new at the game, been playing for around 3 weeks now, and i can definitely say that duelists are my thing. fun fact i have no csgo experience, i get my aim from roblox lmao
Hey Sena, chances of you seeing this are pretty low but may as well give it a shot. I’m currently sitting at about a 42% win rate this act, and have been hard stuck silver 3 for months now. In some of your videos you’ve said that I have to hold myself accountable, but I consistently drop 25+ kills almost every game and so does my duo. My aim isn’t my problem, and neither is my crosshair placement I don’t think, considering I have a 27% headshot percentage. I main kayo and fade and am just not sure what to do anymore

Im pretty sure picking something like Jett (duelist), Chamber (Psuedo Sentinel), Omen (Controller) or Kayo (Initiator), I think getting comfortable with picks like this actually taught me a lot and its overall pretty balance
about your pairing initiators i agree bc i did that as sova with the kayo on my team and he would throw his knife and i would shoot my dart in the same spot and it was so op

I would say that if you’re new, don’t play chamber. His util is very heavily based on being able to hit some shots

Playing control requires are a lot of understanding so control js the last thing a newbie should pick.
I regret not starting off with sentinels or let's just say chamber I was way to focused on either sitting back and trying to make use of my smokes or set ups instead of learning my confidence and practicing my patience and aim with things I usually just shot before I even had my cursor on someone but now I main Reyna and chamber and have learned how to entry and actually prove my worth on a team

Sage was my first picked agent and even after 3 years I think I still main her she just works for me like I can be selfish and use the walls for myself but I can heal my team and still be helpfull or I can be cringe and use my walls in stupid ways

reaction time is pretty, pretty much genetics. what workt for me against too slow shoting an enemie was just higher my sens and let my muscles work for me
