I read on a chart when I bought my oil if the gvwr was under 14K it took 0W20 & above 14K it took 5W20. I drive a 2016 2500 5.7, I haven’t looked through the manual yet but I’m going to do a dive into this before I do this oil change & see what it says. All my info is from O’reillys box store where I purchased my oil from. Thanks for the video!

I though this engine requires 5w20w?

It does and warns that using any other weight could damage the engine. Furthermore, unlike inline fuel filters where pre-filling is recommended, it is not at all necessary to pre-fill oil filters. If it were, there would not be a single engine that requires anything but vertically upright oriented oil filters. Think about it.

If you clean up with brake cleaner; you should replace the drain plug washer. It's leaking
