We bought a used one (2005 model) about 8 years ago for $7000. The new one is not much different. Ours gets used every year and has been reliable and very useful. There are many used ones out there that can save you a huge amount of money. The new price is just crazy high.
@@DayHikerFromTheSix Just to be clear. Our trailer has had it's share of repairs and updates, but that is to be expected when a trailer gets some years and miles on it. Still way cheaper than $58.000 for a new one. Our friends bought a new leftover Thor class c motor home for $59,995. That is a trailer and a new truck! Just saying. I like what you are doing, but the industry is starting to price the average buyer out of the market. When we bought our used Trailmanor a dealer offered to sell us a new one for a little over $24,000. I don't know about you, but my income has not more than doubled in 8 years. Just amazing. 40yrs ago. We had one of the originals. Nothing fancy like this, but we had such fun in it on the lakes. This is simply beautiful! Just can’t get over it! Wonderful design! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is a really cool trailer. I like the aluminum construction and it's a great concept. However, if you're going to pull this off road at all, independent suspension is really necessary to keep it from bouncing all over.
It has a torsion axle, which is independent! It’s not a full on control arm setup, so it’s not a rock crawler, but I think it’s be OK for light off-roading. It’s too long to be a rock crawler: departure angle would be a problem. Thanks for watching!
Note about the Laveo Dry Flush toilet… It doesn’t incinerate waste, it vacuum seals and compresses it. Then, like you said, you change the cartridge after X number of flushes. Doesn’t use any water.
I had never heard of your trailer until you left this comment. I googled it and it looks really awesome!! Any chance you are close to Toronto, Ontario?! We would love to do a walkthrough of your trailer 😀 Thanks for watching!

I agree, it’s well equipped but I think the materials, chassis, and heavy duty axle are what really impresses me. The basic trailer seems built to last.
The problem we had with our Trailmanor 2027 is that there are only two tires for a big rig. Yes, it does pull easy. When the tires blow, and they do, this creates instability and are very difficult to change when on the open road. Yes, we liked our 2027 for three years. However this trailer needs four tires not two.

Hi there. This camper is fantastic l am 67 and l must have even sleeping under a rock.😮 This camper is like a little house. How long have these campers been around l am actually excited. How much do they cost? Have a great day.😊
These are great for towing behind an EV truck. A lot of the range hit on an EV. Also most EV trucks have serious power the camper can plug into so no need to carry an extra generator for a weekend getaway. Good solution for a specific use case.
pple we know bought $100,000 new ev truck, now theyre trying to get rid of it; they cant drive more than 2.5 hrs on it; cant make it to the nearest big city an afternoon drive away without diverting the route and finding the ONE charging station that might not be working. thats in the summer! in the winter at -40, youre risking your life going anywhere in it.

Except…pretty sure this guy is not “the builder.” From the other videos, it looks like this is an RV dealer selling models and accessorizes from many manufacturers. They are just showcasing various product made elsewhere…as dealerships generally do.
HINT: this is a fascinating idea, very useful indeed, the only thing that wd stop me from buying it, is that the fridge is too small and it sits on the floor, so i wd have to get on my hands n knees to get anything out of it, or put anything into it.
I was super interested until I saw the $50k price tag at the 10:30 mark! Holy crap yall are out of your MIND! This trailer shouldn't be more than $30k - $35k based on what is available on the market in that price range.
If you compare based on sq ft per dollar it’s expensive. But given the composite/aluminum construction, high end suspension etc…I think the price is similar to comparable trailers. It’s definitely not a price point unit! Thanks for watching!
Just purchased one for 3k. Loved them since I saw them in the 80's. Lots of room. Drawback is only 2 electrical outlets. 20 yrs old, maybe they've added another couple
interesting idea and concept but i feel like it has too many areas of breakage the key to camping is to have your system work when you need it to i dont want to have a spring break and cant raise a section when its down pouring outside. But neat very neat i just dont trust all those moving parts and walls.
We filmed it in January 2024 at the Florida RV show, but it was hot off the line. I'm not sure if it was a 2024 or an early 2025. Keep in mind as a Sport model it also had several upgrades compared to the non-Sport Trail Manors, which also might explain the difference.. Thanks for watching!
They didn't show enough of the setting up and take down. Also, are the fridge vents covered in travel mode? That would mean no cooling while traveling.
Fridge vents on the side wall are covered during travel. HOWEVER: The classic models with the 3-way fridge have a 12VDC (battery) mode for travel, so you’re not running the propane. Sport models are equipped with a 12VDC compressor fridge. All models have a fan in the floor of the fridge compartment and a duct to pull hot air out of the compartment and vent through the floor. So yes, you can have a cold fridge while rolling down the road!
It's called a wrap around weld , I do these all the time when programming robots to weld . It's a really nice setup from the old 70's popup we used to use with the arms you push up and springs, I get that Trail Manor is trying to fit 32 feet of trailer into a small package that a smaller pickup or large SUV could easily tow without any complicated hitches and truck upgrades . This innovation comes with a hefty price tag unfortunately, this unit is for the weekend warrior who gets an E-mail Thursday night saying they don't have to work the weekend. They can book a small camp site last minute and go, where people like me have to book months in advance to get a large enough site. I tend to live in my trailer full time for work and this setup would not be for me, too much setup and tear down for my liking, also to many gaps for winter camping. The thing that I really don't understand and is a big turn off for me is going with white everywhere. This is not just Trail Manor this is a lot of trailers, when we were shopping for a toy hauler all of the trailers had almost everything white. Toy haulers are expected to have dirty people occupying them with dirt bikes and side by sides and other things that get accumulations of dirt on them. If you are going to be moving into a retirement trailer and your considered a senior citizen, the odds of getting grubby hands on anything will be slim to none. When you have a young family with kids that like to get dirty and touch everything or like me constantly repairing and upgrading the trailer your hands will get dirty fast.
Most people in the industry say there is no such thing as a four season camper. If the plumbing was winterized and you clean all snow and ice of the trailer before opening and closing, you might be able to use this trailer in winter. But in the dark days of a Canadian winter, I’d leave it safely stored in the garage myself!
The standard toilet on the Sport is a Laveo dry flush style with no black tank. They also offer a cassette toilet as an option, and a recirculating flush toilet is standard on non-Sport models. Although Robert mentions black tank in the video, there is no mention of one on the website.
The recirculating toilet is discontinued by Thetford and is no longer an option. As of right now, there is an option for a Dometic SeaLand toilet which is a real porcelain toilet with freshwater flush. It sits on top of a pedestal base which is a 10 gallon black tank. I have this toilet in my personal TrailManor and it works well.
I believe they are actively looking for Canadian dealers…keep checking on their website and/or reach out to them. I believe they have options to sell direct to Canadians.
If 1 of the rubber rods fails inside the axle, you have to have a mechanic fix it, if a leaf breaks, you can get a piece of flat steel at home depot or lowes and fix it good enough to get to where you need to be, I'll stick with leaf suspension
New and used prices and insane interest rates have made purchasing something like this a pipe dream for many people. I would use this maybe twice a year and would save my $$$ and resort to renting an air bnb instead.
I spent years building RVs and mobile homes, as well as toting them. While I think the collapsible concept is good for some people, where this bumper trailer fails is: Single axles are dangerous. One blow out and you will likely wreck, if driving faster than 45mph. Even if you manage not to wipe out the rig, the potential damage risk to the blowout side is great. And second, that hitch is ridiculous. And very dangerous. Never never Never pull a trailer with a tongue that can be broken down, whether with bolts or a hinge. If it's Not one solid tongue, from coupler to trailer chassis, then do not pull it. You're just asking for a tragic road mishap. Hinged hitches/tongues are stupid and dangerous.
I had the same concern about single axles before I bought our single axle trailer. I added TPMS to my trailer so I can monitor tire air pressure and temperature in real time. That at least minimizes the risk and hopefully will provide a few seconds of advance warning if a tire is about to blow. Re: the coupler/tongue design, it does require some trust in the engineers and safety regulations. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Put good tires on that single axle and check pressure lug tightness and grease the bearings before each trip and you shouldn't have problems. Some people will buy a trailer and run those cheap China bomb tires they come with. In a case like that yes watch out. Our camper had Castle rocks on it when we bought it. I got rid of them within a week.
And yet, TrailManor has been using that swing tongue for going on 30 years with no real issues. While I agree dual axles are better than single, have you ever had a front tire blow on your car while rolling down the interstate? Thats a whole lot more dangerous than a single axle tire failure. TrailManor has a guard over the plumbing to protect it in case of a blowout (5:52) and several owners have added protection on the door side to protect the floor. These do have a neat option called a “spare tire” in case you do have a tire failure.
Eh, price too high and not a great design with the cabinets having to be mounted/dismounted. If they were empty it would be fine but once you put stuff in, a real pain to move.
Off-road tires have never made sense to me on any trailer. They don’t help any because there’s no power to them. A trailer is being pulled so they do zero good on any trailer.
They do brake and also provide lateral traction in mud and on slick rock. For those who truly off-road their trailers, I think it makes sense. People who drive between front country campgrounds like me definitely don’t need them. Thanks for watching!
You pay for the craftsmanship and the quality. The industry offers a whole variety for all tastes. You just have to find the one that's right for you. Thanks for watching!
First …you should have done much more research before building this and for the 150% markup on the price the building materials are the same garbage all others are made out of… second; I feel sorry for the poor fools that get sucked into this riddle trap.
It stacks up well for value when comparing to similar trailers IMO. Lightweight materials and folding mechanisms will always command a premium. Also, if you go for a non-Sport, the price is much more palatable. Thanks for watching!
The trailer is made in South Dakota, Rob is from California. I’m pretty sure the state it’s made in has nothing to do with the materials though! Thanks for watching!
Cha-ching! Too much money. You still have to open the whole thing up just to go inside to get something out of the fridge. I want to back it in the site open the door and grab a beer before I even put out the awning!
Too much work to setup in my opinion. Who wants to do all this work after a long drive to a campground? And for what they cost, no way. I'd rather have my camper. Cost way less, and not including level8ng, unhitching, and plugging in, which all campers require, I only have to push one button until my slide opens, and it's setup.
Absolute GARBAGE for that price!!! So sad that people are actually buying trailers with 12V fridges and no oven! 🤦🏼♂️ how are you supposed to go camping for a week without electric hookups!?? Run your generator all day!!?? Nope! Now way dude! Real campers HATE generator people!
I’m not a fan of generators myself (I’ve never owned one). The good news is that you can get the trailer with a 3 way fridge. For sure having a 12 volt fridge means using solar and an upgraded battery if you want to boondock. We spec’d our personal trailer with a 2 way fridge for this reason. We rarely have hookups when camping here in Ontario.

Thanks for watching!
If 1 of the rubber rods fails inside the axle, you have to have a mechanic fix it, if a leaf breaks, you can get a piece of flat steel at home depot or lowes and fix it good enough to get to where you need to be, I'll stick with leaf suspension

thought I read that as 4600 dollars, was like no way.. then I saw 46000 and Im like HELL NO WAY! lol
The prices have gone up across the industry, specifically for high quality trailers. Thanks for watching!
New and used prices and insane interest rates have made purchasing something like this a pipe dream for many people.
I would use this maybe twice a year and would save my $$$ and resort to renting an air bnb instead.

I have a 94' trailmanor, it does not work right at all. Do you service them?
I think you meant 34' trailor. Check out the Trailor Manor website for their contact information and give them a call. Thanks for watching!
@@DayHikerFromTheSix Maybe he means a 1994.
I spent years building RVs and mobile homes, as well as toting them.
While I think the collapsible concept is good for some people, where this bumper trailer fails is:
Single axles are dangerous.
Who is going to pay that kind of money on a pop up ! 😂
Thanks for watching!
I love Trailmanor R.V. trailers. I hate my bank account. I can't buy one.

2720? So you are saying this RV will be available 696 years from now.
LOL
That’s the model!
They were asking nearly $50k for that?! 😮
It's pricey but still at par with the rest of the industry. Thanks for watching!
Based on the accent in the audio, I'm guessing this is not made in the US.
American manufacturer based in Parkston, SD. Thanks for watching!
@@DayHikerFromTheSix That explains a lot.....ridiculous.
Nice, but not $48,000 nice
Thanks for watching!
There are too many moving parts. More things to break.
We agree, it requires more maintenance. Thanks for watching!
Eh, price too high and not a great design with the cabinets having to be mounted/dismounted. If they were empty it would be fine but once you put stuff in, a real pain to move.
Yes the cabinets are a compromise for towability. This is the top of the line…plenty of these are more affordable. Thanks for watching.
👍
Thanks for watching!
more movable components; more expensive problems over time

If IKEA made a camper......
Not quite! Thanks for watching!
Ok

I get it, OK.

Looks leaky
This trailer has been around for a long time and it's a proven design. Thanks for watching!
Looks can be deceiving. It doesn’t leak. 😊
Why to much for what u get😂?
You pay for the craftsmanship and the quality. The industry offers a whole variety for all tastes. You just have to find the one that's right for you. Thanks for watching!
Yep I watched this video until I saw the price I can buy a house for for that kind of money
Granted it's not cheap but it's the trade off for quality. Thanks for watching!
lol
Where in the us can you buy a house for $50k?!
That’s ridiculous
First …you should have done much more research before building this and for the 150% markup on the price the building materials are the same garbage all others are made out of… second; I feel sorry for the poor fools that get sucked into this riddle trap.
Thanks for watching!
Lol
Talk about being overpriced 😂
Thanks for watching!
$47.000 im out
They have plenty of models at lower price points…this is the top of the line with all the bells and whistles. Thanks for watching!
Such a cool unit, but you’re an idiot if you’re willing to pay that kind of money!
It stacks up well for value when comparing to similar trailers IMO. Lightweight materials and folding mechanisms will always command a premium. Also, if you go for a non-Sport, the price is much more palatable. Thanks for watching!
Not for $45k. Stupid price.
Thanks for watching!
As soon as you said California I had to cut this off. This thing is probably made out of fruit pebbles.
The trailer is made in South Dakota, Rob is from California. I’m pretty sure the state it’s made in has nothing to do with the materials though! Thanks for watching!
@@DayHikerFromTheSix Ya, beg to differ.
Cha-ching! Too much money. You still have to open the whole thing up just to go inside to get something out of the fridge. I want to back it in the site open the door and grab a beer before I even put out the awning!
This is not the right trailer for you then Lol 😀 Thanks for watching!
You mentioned you only have to push a button to slide open! Just out of curiosity, which trailer do you have? 😀 Thanks for watching!
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Thanks for watching !
@@DayHikerFromTheSix Okay!
