  • To make Milk Daliya, you'll need the following ingredients:
    Ingredients:
    1/2 cup broken wheat (daliya)
    2 cups milk
    2-3 tablespoons sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
    1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
    Optional toppings: chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios), raisins, grated coconut
    Instructions:
    Rinse the broken wheat (daliya) under running water and drain excess water.
    In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil.
    Add the rinsed broken wheat to the boiling milk and reduce the heat to low.
    Let it simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the daliya is cooked and the milk thickens to your desired consistency. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes.
    Add sugar or honey and cardamom powder to the daliya-milk and some bananas mixture and mix well. Adjust sweetness according to your taste.
    Once cooked, turn off the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
