    • Integration of Brainwaves
    Continuing that Integration theme, going into gamma brainwaves, and how they fit with the slower brainwaves. How the Watcher mentality can help to heal disassociation.

    This is one of your most important videos and really carefully presented. I remember in my college days, I used to visit an ashram frequently to learn Kriya meditation. One of the monks said a very important thing to me as an answer to a question. I noticed some of the other visitors at the ashram were very aloof and "spaced out" and the monks were very sharp, grounded and participatory in activities, chores and good communicators. The monk who was practicing Kriya for decades told me that many people use spirituality as an escape instead of integrating the post-Kriya phase into their walking lives. He said if you are doing it right you will become higher functioning and not phased out of life and that you should not try to appear more spiritual by appearing phased out all day. His ending by saying you have to accept where you are, love it and watch your breath during the day to stay in the witness mind (Buddhi in Sankhya philosophy or the intellect.) Your video is even clearer than the previous teaching and I am thankful people will get to see this on a larger scale.

    Yup. Disassociation is happening big time as I’m working something heavy out. Trying to work it out.. I dare only peek most of the time. Peek for as much as I can handle and again flee.
    At the same time I’ve been asking “who am I” as a practise Sri Ramana Maharsi suggests.. I wake up regularly feeling completely cut loose from my core. No ground to stand on.
    And that’s why the inner voice has been telling me to keep things very simple, tiny steps. Don’t ask “who am I” for now, in the deepest sense. Build a foundation, grow roots first.. Get real close to myself in this gross form, work on acceptance, just breathing and creating a healthier relationship with myself and see from there.
    Clearly I am not ready for the big work. And yet, these energies arose. And yet, so much came on my path that I was somehow able to “wing”. Because that’s what it is I’ve been “winging it”, strap in and hope for the best.
    It is a mystery to me sometimes why big leaps have happened throughout my life while I’m such a beginner and so ignorant when it comes to certain things. Smh.
    And.. It will be ok. Somewhere in the bigger picture that I can’t see, everything is right on time..
    Thank you Forrest 🌸

    Forrestj, my teacher introduced me to your channel and told me to do HRV breathing before the techniques he gave me, and it made a huge difference and really changed the way I think about meditation. Thanks in part to your material, my self inquiry practice has started to flower and I just feel extraordinarily happy and at peace in myself for periods of time, and I've started to notice the four proofs and some other signs of PSNS activation (like beginning to salivate) when I start to sink into the nondual state. You have such a wonderful way of explaining techniques in a way that relies on hard science but does nothing to take away the wonder of these practices. That said, this doesn't exactly seem like something you would do, but I've been wondering if you have anything on your channel on drinking water? I've read some ayurvedic stuff on hydration in the past, and on the benefit of sipping water vs chugging it, but I found that whatever I read always lacked the kind of real, physiological explanation that you always bring, and I personally would like to know since I drink a lot of water and hydration is a big deal to me as an important part of health. And if there's a scientifically validated way to do it without having to pee every 10 minutes, I'd like to know.

      The answer is in you my friend. When we were looking for water, thousands of years ago, we would drink as much as we can when we find it. Sipping water is the new and unfamiliar thing from the modern times where we have everything in abundance. Follow the instinct that was developed inside for a thousands of years and never sip. :)

    • @Firecelebi
      @Firecelebi 3 роки тому

      @@teogee59 Sounds reasonable, but I think that this kind of reasoning can be misleading. It might not be the same case, but in the case of food, for our entire evolutionary arc refined sugars, fats and salt were extremely rare, so if we encountered them we'd eat as much as possible. Now that these are in abundance, following the same instinct makes us extraordinarily unhealthy. Although I appreciate the response, my problem with an answer that comes down to how things were done in the past is that it doesn't take into account the fact that things have changed substantially since then, and doesn't get at the actual physiology of what's going on when the body processes water that comes in.
      I still might try gulping water more, if only because of how good it feels.

    • @teogee59
      @teogee59 3 роки тому +1

      @@Firecelebi completely agree with you. Do whatever feels right in the moment. We are 70% water and that is the main ingredient in our body. So things have not changed so much about the water consumption compared to the other new food items you mentioned. However, instead of looking negatively on the new food, we can use our intelligence and get the best of those without harming our bodies. At 62 I am more active than ever before in my life. Racing up to 68 times per year: from 5K to marathon and triathlons up to Ironman. I have no problem racing 3 times per day when conscious eating and rest can provide me unlimited energy resources to push further my own limitations. :)

    Yes you are right, from another view, after dissociation we are still attached to something, with integration we detach ourselves from either things. II am very indecisive most of the time. I think I experience dissociation when I procrastinate, before deadlines. I binge watch Netflix shows, or check Instagram or reddit all day, where a part of me knows I should be working on something important. But these two parts are separated from each other by boundaries. The desire to procrastinate and the feeling that I should study/work, both are very strong. When two opposing desires arise in mind, how does it figure out which is good for me ? In case of procrastination before exams, it's pretty obvious that I should work hard throwing away the lazy/scared part. But when it's not that obvious, how does the brain know which part to throw out ?

    • @teogee59
      @teogee59 3 роки тому +1

      You are perfect in every single moment. Your mind labels your actions as: procrastination, binge watching. Unless you go to the bottom of everything you do, you will never be able to go out of it. Once you are at the bottom, there is only one way out, and that is flying up in the air. Enjoy your life and never regret anything that you did or you are doing right now. That is how the power will come to you. Right now you split your power into doubting your self about what you are doing and doing it. Just do whatever you do with the entire power that is inside of you. That is the best medicine. Once you allow that to happen. The power will push you back to what you really should be doing, like a ball that you try to push down in the water but it will ultimately jump out when you release it. Just try it and have the courage to try!

    I tried the timeline therapy and its surprisingly sometimes where you end up. Also, sometimes it gets complex with multiple directions. For instance when having a stiffness in my neck or feeling very sleepy; I ask myself the direction; let the timeline run and sometimes the stiffness or sleepiness just disappears. Its pretty amazing; thank you for letting us know these tricks.
    With gamma waves (binaural beats) I experience something like 'being above' emotional feelings. Your talk seems to confirms this. How do you look towards binaural beats? Can it speed up to find the higher self? What about the various Hz (frequencies); is this different per person; could using binaural beats condition you falsely (meaning not in tune with your own nature)? Hi Steve! I'm not a doctor; I worked with nutritionist for years. Good oils! To support and promote the body's ability to self regulate your hormones. Avocados and runny eggs. Up to 12 eggs a day as you re-load good cholesterol into the body. No oil from a bottle, as it has been exposed to air; no fried foods. That's what I would recommend.

      @@themoffitdunsterconnection7605 if you use my video on the rescue breath you can activate the dorsal vagal which will help to put you into a freeze response. This is very helpful however you will still need to address the deficiency in the body. Linus Pauling said that every dis-ease comes from a nutritional deficiency.

      @@ForrestKnutson ya I can agree with that I like to call it the sickness I was born to get because it was given to me by the universe so I could touch other places in space and time I was able to see things others couldn't and I was locked inside my own body but nobody else could understand what I was trying to communicate and at certain times I would leave my body for a week at a time and only one in 100,000 men actually Get this type of issue and thankfully since my birth the universe was preparing me for it the only real down fall has been the hot flashes and trying to reestablish my emotions that I used to enjoy and now don't seem to have

      Habits and patterns are always difficult to overcome, so when we reach a certain state we'll need to get there over and over again to make a lasting imprint on the psyche. You are in great company. We all need to repeat over and over again. I hope that is encouraging.
