Excellent tutorial. I like how you explain what you are using for a guitar, then play along with the recorded version and then break it down. Nice teaching methods...best cover on the internet, keep up the good work
I always like it when a tutor knows where a student is going to struggle, and stresses the need to have a part "in your pocket", as the student is not going to have time to work it out while he's playing it. That's exactly what I had to do with the run-down. Practise repeatedly and separately, then it holds no fear.
Great Lesson Guitar Animal! I think a lot of people are trying to replicate the hammer on's with separate chords, or they just can't seem to break it down properly. Your only as good as what you practice, and you have practiced these techniques well and in good order of the song, Now I can and will too! Thanks for uploading B-)
excellent, very clear and over all CCOMPLETE OVER THE SONG. You really leard mucho... thank you. after the titorial you have learn the complete song!!!
i dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot my login password. I love any tricks you can give me
@Alec Kendall i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Thanks for the comment, the basic strum pattern is dwn up dwn up rest up dwn up then dwn up dwn up rest up dwn dwn.....hope that this helps you :)thanks for watching :)
Do you have the lyrics to go along with this tutorial on your site? I'm considering joining but while I'm learning to play I also want to learn the lyrics.
Hi Todd. Yes. We just started adding lyrics to newer videos. I went back and added them to this video as well: guitaranimal.com/learn/best-of-my-love/eagles/
Your lesson is spot on, I wonder why all the tabs are wrong? They show a dm7 instead of an fmaj7 hmmm Anyway great song , great lesson and a very pretty dog to help you out.
Ha! Thanks. That’s actually a white Wolf. We shoot in front of a green screen. If he was real he likely would have chewed Trent’s face off. But we love that you thought it might have been real. Score for Guitar Animal!
Hello Caygator, It did not look like they were playing this with an open tuning in the videos of the Eagles playing this that I scored this from? What alternate tuning do you believe they were using?
I did read that Glenn came across this song while working on an open tuning Joni Mitchell had showed him a few days before writing it. With that being said, the chords are so simple is there really any need to do alternate when you can just transition straight into another great Eagles song without the need to retune or switch out? I would say not, but that's just me.

Just what the Dr. ordered. Thank you
