Lubricate all orings before they are mounted….their seal is obtained by small movement in the groove….lubrication prevents wear and secure their primary function….
Amazing job! When you use ultrasonic bath to clean those parts, and then resurfaced the plastic, you had me convinced do you are a serious pro at this. Did you work for DeLonghi or one of one of their repair shops? The familiarity you have with the parts of this machine is really detailed.

Does the machine make another coffee or doesn't it work either? I think the water heater or the spout are calcified. You can keep trying to get hot water. Put the descaler in the water beforehand.
Hi, since I have not marked the coffee grinder, I have the wrong grind. Which is the ideal position? I only have a sign how can I put it right? With grinding, the coffee grounds are water. thanks
Hello, you need to adjust the grinder so that the coffee grounds are as fine as sugar. When the gear runs out, you need to relocate it. Always readjust in small steps until the coffee tastes good.
@@yt.myworks When you disassemble the coffee grinder in the video you marked the direction I did not with a felt-tip pen. I was wrong I can't find the ideal location. thank you very much you are very kind
Hello, I am in the middle of restoring an approx. 7 years old DeLonghi Magnifica S Cappuccino (ECAM22.360.S). It wasn't in a horrible state but upon taking it apart thanks to your instructions, we have found that both the infuser and the piston were very dirty and the piston was retaining and leaking water. I am awaiting the delivery of spare O-rings I ordered to replace the old ones and have already cleaned everything I possibly could. We are also planning multiple descaling sessions to make sure the system is clean and if any other issues are found, at least we know that this isn't the issue. Your videos have been instrumental to us being able to do this so thank you very much for making them available to us! I have two questions for you: 1) There is a mushroom valve in the piston (can be seen at 9:15 in the video), from which I am missing the silicone spacer within the spring (the mushroom head itself is still on the spring, just very compressed and will need changing). Do you know how I could replace this spacer (e.g. small silicone pin or similar)? Is it vital to the function of the piston or can it be omitted? Do DeLonghi even sell the whole valve at all at this point? (I am in the UK for context, I am happy to order from the EU if needs be/if you know a good source) EDIT: I have just realised that one of the piston springs is also cracked. Are any of these available anywhere? 2) Do you think it's worthwhile to take apart the transmission at this point, or should it be left until more significant issues occur with it? It seems to be dirty and needing some grease, but the machine still works, even before we took it apart, it just wasn't at its best due to the issues I wrote about above. Are transmissions in these machines a huge problem?
Hello, I order a lot from these online shops: juraprofi.de or komtra.de. You can get the two springs on eBay, for example: www.ebay.de/itm/2-stueck-Pressure-springs-for-den-Bruehkolben-DeLonghi-ECAM-ETAM-Kaffeevollautomaten-/324834160850?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid =p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=707-127634-2357-0. You can also use a piece of silicone tubing to replace the white spacer. If the transmission still works then you can leave it in. This never causes problems if the spindle has been greased regularly. Good luck with the repair!!
@@yt.myworks Hello, I'm sorry I missed your reply! Thank you very much for the links, I have actually ordered from the eBay seller and he delivered everything promptly. As far as the spacer, I have ended up ordering the whole spring but I will try to find some tubing for future repairs. The transmission, as far as I know, has not been greased at all over those years, but I will try to grease it from now on and hopefully it will be OK. I will report results soon. If not, I will refer to your vidoes for help :)
@@yt.myworks Hello, after full reassembly (I discovered a deformed o-ring within the raccord hose connector as per your other video, which I replaced), testing, descaling, and some tweaking of the grinder, I can happily report that the mechanism sounds smooth, the grinder gives 10g of grounds for extra-strong, the infuser makes rounded pucks of coffee, there is no water in the grounds container or in the red reservoir under the tray, and the machine pumps out 37ml of coffee at 90degC for one short that tastes just like the bean. Having replaced the O-rings in the steam vent, it also dispenses lovely smooth milk foam without sputtering. Other than some limescale that is still floating about in the system, I'm happy to report that the machine seems to be fixed up to standard again! Thank you once again for your fantastic videos, I wouldn't have been able to fix it without you! I learned something new and can now drink some nice coffee again so 10/10 😊
@Paul F. there are two flat metal nuts on the right side of the machine. These must have fallen out, slide them into the correct position and you can tighten the screws again ;-)
If you only removed the ring then simply put it back in and there should be a black marked line that you line up with a line on the body. And also a notch on the adjuster spindle that you line up with a line on the body. And this should be the middle position.
Great video. My grinder was jammed so got that fixed by cleaning it. The coffee is weak and now it is not making pucks and the grounds are wet and coarse. Any ideas?
Hello, here is my other video about grinder: ua-cam.com/video/Dk8_id4x7E4/v-deo.html In the second half of the movie you can see how the grinder can be set.
What part would you replace if both coffee and water (in the initial and final rinse ) doesn’t come out? I get error like when coffee is too fine grinded. Thanks, this is very helpful. Great video , you are a king!
Ive had mine from new and it has just developed the infuser fault where it doesn't seem to home correctly and the arms need to be moved manually so that it can be removed. Any advice?
Hi. I've got a weak taste with my unit. I have it for 3 years and recently got problem like that. I have descaled it several times , cleaned properly the infuser and also tried different coffee beans. I haven't change the grinder settings as since the beginning was OK. Any idea what can cause the coffee to be weak.
Do you always have the same amount of coffee in your cup? Is the used coffee dry? If so, first adjust the grinder by one level. The coffee powder should be as fine as sugar. The result can only be seen after three cups.
Great video! I have replaced my diffuser (behind the door and water tank) and the valve assembly (the part with 5 tubes attached), but still my machine will not pump water through. When I remove the supply tube from the valve assembly, it will pump water through the open tube. Is it possible the pump cannot generate enough pressure and needs to be replaced? I would also replaced the nearby regulator just in case? Any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, i keep getting a coffee grinded too fine adjust the grinder error and it doesn’t rinse at all. Then it asks me to attach a water pipe and press ok. The hot water comes easily through the hot steamer but never through the coffee nozzle. Any suggestions?
Hi, first try to descale the coffee machine properly, two or three times. If it still doesn't work then the water pump needs to be repaired or replaced. You can see how to repair or replace the water pump in my other video: ua-cam.com/video/9p65d-Mrnwc/v-deo.html
myworks thanks for your replay :D Ok I’ll try working on the pump as I have dismantled basically all the piping and checked for blocked ways, I’ve also cleaned the infuser and the brewer as u did in your videos.
Not sure if anyone can help, I service my delongi machine but when putting the brew unit back together I put the plunger 1 to high so when it was returning down, it broke the spring system on the door side that catches the coffee sweep. I have managed to glue it back, but I have a spring that I don't know where it goes, any suggestions?
I've replaced this knob few minutes ago and now I think that it is not necessary to disassemble any part of the coffee machine. Just try to pull it very hard. I hope I've helped.
I did everything as you did until 2:04, but I just cant get the plastic valve that turns the steam on and off.. looks like you just pull it out with ease, Im fighting it for half an hour... :(

Thank you for this outstanding video. What is the most likely cause of excessive water dripping into the very small red "tray" in the front of the machine, visible when you slide out the grounds drawer? Thanks in advance for your help!
Is the water dripping next to it? If so, then the expansion chamber is probably very dirty and should be cleaned. This is the black cover over the heater on the left side of the machine.
Hi I've fixed my delonghi Ecam (similar to one in your video) by putting a new thermal fuses and now waking fine but when putting the milk frother and trying to make cappuccino it tells me "Turn Froth Dial on",I cleaned the frother and turned the froth dial left and right but still the same message comes up, any ideas? Thanks

Hmm .. I'm not sure, but the valve in the top piston might not close properly. Sometimes it happens when the valve is calcified. Try descaling the top piston. See my other video from minute 7:00, maybe it will help: ua-cam.com/video/OJWguSgyf4c/v-deo.html
Thanks for this awesome video! It really helps to provide some insight. I have an Eletta and I now have a problem where it does not indicate low water level. I can use it and you will hear the pump going dry. Once it is off and you switch it back on, it will say low level and water circuit empty and then you have to bleed. Also, I am assuming it uses the same input to let you know once your descaling cycle is complete as it doesnt anymore and I need to then switch off the machine once done. Do you perhaps know what input these coffee machines use to indicate low water level? i would like to replace that part.
Hi, I recently had such a machine with the same problem and tried different things. In the end, it turned out that the magnet in the water tank had lost its power. Unfortunately, this cannot be replaced, so I recommend buying a new water tank.
@yt.myworks thanks a lot for the info. I will definitely do so. So the magnet is that little slider in the tank that rises as the water rises and drops with the usage of water? Is see it is molded in, hence the need for a new tank...
This is great video...but it doesn't show how to take out the tiny cream valve on top of infuser (under infuser filter). It is gold colored when laying on your towel, to the right of the puck removal arm.
Hello, I have an old Delongi Magnifica S Smart Cappuccino and after replacing the brew unit and adding some lube to the gear for it, the machine now shows a General alarm when it turns on and wont brew, Sometimes opening the water door or power resetting it allows it to but its not consistent anymore, any ideas?
Do you have an idea what might be wrong, when I turn on coffe machine nothing happen, no initial cleaning water will come from machine, it sounds like it want to push the water but cant. Does it mean water pump is broken? I dissasembly whole unit and clean but still not working, so I assume its that?
Hello, this usually happens when the machine hasn’t been descaled regularly. In most cases, the Teflon tube leading from the heater to the infuser gets clogged with limescale deposits. However, be careful: the tubes are under pressure with hot steam, so always let the machine cool down before disconnecting any tubes!
I have a Magnifica S the grinder is not working, so i bought a new one and also doesn't work, it soen't even grind in test mode. But it makes perfect coffe with powdered coffee. any idea?
Hi, do you know what could cause the steam / hot water nozzle to work intermittently? I have the cappuccino model and after you use it to dispense hot milk, it blocks and won’t clean or run hot water unless you switch it off and leave it for a while
I just replaced the generator using your excellent video. However, it now leaks from every one of the hose insertions where I placed the small hoses. They are properly seated in the hole, and the brass ring is captured by the clips in every spot. Any ideas on what could be the problem? My original symptom was that instead of making a cup of coffee, water would just pour down inside the drain.

You have to start with the cheapest parts. Check whether the milk connection is blocked. If not then you have to replace the solenoid valve.
Bravo ! Very helpful. My Delonghi could not run coffee out of spouts, instead the water comes underneath to the coffee grind container. Any idea where the problem is ? I am trying to disassemble the machine. Cheers.

Amazing job! When you use ultrasonic bath to clean those parts, and then resurfaced the plastic, you had me convinced do you are a serious pro at this. Did you work for DeLonghi or one of one of their repair shops? The familiarity you have with the parts of this machine is really detailed.
Thanks for the nice compliments! But everything I have taught myself.

I have Krups Siziliana coffee machine. On this machine hot water and steam go through the same pipe, when I accsidentally tried to use steam before the machine heated up enough. Now i can only heard the pump inside, but no water or steam are going out. Do you know how to fix it?
Does the machine make another coffee or doesn't it work either? I think the water heater or the spout are calcified. You can keep trying to get hot water. Put the descaler in the water beforehand.
@@yt.myworks Today when I tried it worked perfectly fine, i don't know it somehow fixed by itself Thanks for the response anyways.

I have two questions for you:
1) There is a mushroom valve in the piston (can be seen at 9:15 in the video), from which I am missing the silicone spacer within the spring (the mushroom head itself is still on the spring, just very compressed and will need changing). Do you know how I could replace this spacer (e.g. small silicone pin or similar)? Is it vital to the function of the piston or can it be omitted? Do DeLonghi even sell the whole valve at all at this point? (I am in the UK for context, I am happy to order from the EU if needs be/if you know a good source)
EDIT: I have just realised that one of the piston springs is also cracked.
I learned something new and can now drink some nice coffee again so 10/10 😊
Good work

I can't screw in the two allen key screws that sit on the right side of the boiler piston housing. Any suggestions
@Paul F. there are two flat metal nuts on the right side of the machine. These must have fallen out, slide them into the correct position and you can tighten the screws again ;-)
@@yt.myworks thank you for your response. I knew I was missing something.
Thank you Bro
Your video has been very precious 💯
I took the grinder off and I forgot to mark the gears. How can I align the level knob? Now at level 3 the water doesn’t pass through the coffee
You have to take the gear off and put it on in the correct position.
Any ideas?

A job well done👍

Great video! I have replaced my diffuser (behind the door and water tank) and the valve assembly (the part with 5 tubes attached), but still my machine will not pump water through. When I remove the supply tube from the valve assembly, it will pump water through the open tube. Is it possible the pump cannot generate enough pressure and needs to be replaced? I would also replaced the nearby regulator just in case? Any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
I would try to replace the generator - you could try cleaning it first.

Ok I’ll try working on the pump as I have dismantled basically all the piping and checked for blocked ways, I’ve also cleaned the infuser and the brewer as u did in your videos.
Not sure if anyone can help, I service my delongi machine but when putting the brew unit back together I put the plunger 1 to high so when it was returning down, it broke the spring system on the door side that catches the coffee sweep. @S katheru: I set my DeLonghi coffee machines to number 4 or 5.

Wonderful great video 👍
Hi
I've fixed my delonghi Ecam (similar to one in your video) by putting a new thermal fuses and now waking fine but when putting the milk frother and trying to make cappuccino it tells me "Turn Froth Dial on",I cleaned the frother and turned the froth dial left and right but still the same message comes up, any ideas?
Thanks
It could be that the micro switch is not working properly. Check the small switch on the connector from the milk container.
hi, I have very similar model, mine, leaks on to the counter, I have found that on the left side where drip tray is, instead of dripping from drip hole, is running along the front of the unit and onto counter instead of tray, any idea whats most likly to leak? Hi, it usually drips when the residual water drain (housing for the thermoblock) is heavily calcified.

@yt.myworks thank you, will look into that.

Hi, do you know what could cause the steam / hot water nozzle to work intermittently? I have the cappuccino model and after you use it to dispense hot milk, it blocks and won’t clean or run hot water unless you switch it off and leave it for a while
Hello, it's difficult to say but I suspect that one of the electromagnetic valves might be broken. Have you descaled the machine regularly?
@@yt.myworks so interestingly it was sent off under warranty and it looks like the only thing they changed is adding a small red condensate tray
With generator is meant brew unit piston? Did you use new o-rings? The seals should be lightly greased with silicone grease.
