Thanks! I had some problem with water not coming out of the spout. Seeing water come out of the top and this video made me realise the exact same gasket is missing. Hope when I replace it every thing works again. I owe you a beer
Was it the same problem? Mine doesnt pour any coffee out the spout but into the drip tay

4:22 in my case same gasket was damaged and I replaced it, but still it's leaking. I'm checking with kit seller if thta's for my model as the gasket doens't fit very good. One gasket was to thick and I couldn't put teh piston back into the hole, other one that I picked was slightly to small and I streched it to put on the piston. Will keep trying...

Brilliant video thank you! I have exact same problem, not sure if the leak does any other damage or can one just live with it? I fear the repair is beyond my technical/DIY capacity and I am based now in Kenya and it is a nightmare to get parts and reliable service technicians/engineers (purchased the machine in Geneva while working there). Can you help with a link to get parts and particularly the kit you used for this. My machine also about 7 - 8 years old, but only about 4,500 coffees (stats) . As this is quite a strip-down (40+ screws, clips, mouldings), can you advise what else one might as well replace at the same time, I assume all rubber gaskets. Also the machine did 'stop working' (cant now remember the issue) after about two years and it went back to the factory, under warranty, (Netherlands) and it received quite an overhaul, i think including replacement boiler. if i can get the parts on line I can probably find a service technician to install. Really appreciate any advice. And thanks again for a very clear vid.

I have one of these and milk froth doesn't stop straight away when finished it keeps going for few seconds, and steam comes out after for upto ten seconds can hear a whistling sound. I also get some water come out when the machine is turned on or off. Any ideas?

i think they have superglued my top cover, cant get it off, i have a different model but looks almost alike.
What are the symptoms for this failure? Does it leak?
Mine doesn’t make good coffee any more and takes forever to brew. No leaks

I have the same machine and the water is coming out through overflow part on the left side front where that little drip catcher is , it fills the tray ?will I need the same part ?
Not really, I have the same issue you described and tried this but couldn’t find the problem….

Mine leaks during the descaling process and has started to short circuit. Will do the pull down and investigate.
So did you figure out your problem? My machine leaks a bit of water into the tray during the descaling. I have a container under the wand and spouts for the descaler. I try to descale the machine but after it has used all of the mixture it just buzzes loudly and after that message says to add descaler. I pour the required amount of 100ml descaler and water to B level.
Please write the dimensions of these rings : thickness, inner diameter,outer diameter !

You can get a brand new genuine brewing piston unit for less than £30/€30 so the repair kit isn’t worth it anymore.
