- KISS officially retired from touring in 2023, so how are Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons doing? What's their relationship like now? KISS, hard rock, classic rock, heavy metal, 70s rock, 80s rock
It’s nice to see that they are genuine friends. For some reason I find it disappointing when you hear that band mates don’t like each other.

I agree with you. I just found out a couple months ago, and then borrowed the audio CD of Paul Stanley's book Face the Music. I just finished it a couple days ago and went in to see what other CDs I do not have, I'm only missing a few years,. It made me very sad to know that they weren't friends and seeing this particular short video gave me a smile.❤

@@lucas8095 Addicted people are impossible to be with. They drain the energy out of anyone and anything. I believe people should f-up themselves as much as they want. No drug laws, but I never drink or drug. Saw too many adults do it and ruin themselves and hurt those of us loved ones. That said, I tried coke, weed, drinking.........it's all stupid. I stay away from those types.
What did they win ? It was not the real Kiss line up. They won cause they sold the Kiss logo and merchandise to a company in Sweden for $ 300 Million dollars in that sense, yes they are rich thanks to us Fans..

I've been with these guys since I was 12, I'm 63 now and still love to hear about them and would give anything just meet them and say hello and thanks for 51 great years and memories....
I'm with you, I'm 60 now, my first album was Destroyer, I was 14, and I got into kiss because I had a crush on the boy who liked them. I was only able to see them three times, all wonderful shows.❤ After listening to his Face the Music book, I'm doing a deep dive on UA-cam.🎉 If I made an A on report card, my parents would (groan) buy me a Kiss album, it was very hard but I was able to get the solos the year they came out, three A's.

I've seen well over 200 bands live and counting my first live concert was in 1976 KISS they were the hottest band around at that time ill never forget it the J GILES band opened for them and I saw them several more times because they opened for everyone back then and they like KISS were show men I was hooked on live music after that show I believe music feeds my soul and keeps me forever young! Thanks for the music and the memories guys!

Not the first time I heard Paul use family analogies. Five years ago, I saw him doing an interview where the interviewer was inquiring about reunited with Ace and Peter. Paul asked the reporter if he'd ever been divorced, and the reporter acknowledged that he had an ex, and Paul replied, "Do you want to get back together?"
It is a fair analagy, if you think about it. A band THAT huge and that much pressure. I get it

When I was in the 6th grade in the late 70's I scared my teacher when I opened my notebook and had a full page photo of Gene puking up blood! LOL :)
She’s beautiful, loved and well taken care of. Thank you for sharing the photos and the nice conversation of successful life long friends, closeness and love. It’s nice to hear about it from other people even if it’s on video and that it’s possible or have been possible. I wish you all wonderful things, which it looks like you already have. But still thank you for showing your light.

We all love Ace and Peter. Unfortunately they haven't gained the same clarity Paul and Gene have. I keep hoping for it but now it seems unlikely. Ace has come close a few times but always reverts back to blaming Paul or Gene.

Paul saved Kiss in the 80's, without his drive and dedication they most likely would have been a memory by 83', Gene owes him a lot....

It's too bad their relationship couldn't have rubbed off on David Lee Roth and Edward Van Halen. They certainly knew each other. Edward and Alex even played on Christine Sixteen. Of course there was the famous demo tape that Gene Simmons financed for Van Halen.

Soulmates, that is what they are. But point is also, they both descent from Holocaust survivors. They are 2nd generation H-survivors. I don’t know if this part of their history has ever been talked about in depth, but it would be quite interesting to learn more about. Not in a sensation-seeking way, but pure out of human interest.

In Germany they worked together with the BILD magazine to find out about their families. In BILD online (July 2023) you can read Paul's story. And see him with a Kippa at the Jewish Cemetery in Berlin.

Every band has a few members that do twice the work. No one should wonder why they pushed forward and made the best of it. All talent contributes to the Chemistry. Unfortunately, sometimes it turns toxic. KISS fan for life!

Peter clearly said in old interviews: "My lawyers will take care of it". Noone "disowned" Peter. He had lawyers! And he wanted the millions for his solo-career.
(The only person who could have "disowned" him was his wife Lydia. Sean Delaney helped her with her divorce. Who knows how many KISS millions went to Lydia Criss. But they all were family!)
Have you ever tried to run a business with Family members that were hooked on drug/alcohol and didn't pull their weight? It is near impossible. It was always the rest of the families fault. At some point, you have to face facts, let them go, and move on.
