    Nice review! I play with Ezone 98+ 2018 sometimes when I need power and tried the Tour,, both made +3pts headlight but Tour 10grams heavier than Plus (350 vs 340grams), and found Plus to be more more maneuverable and more whippy, but Tour felt more stable. I prefer the feel of Plus actually and found it more comfortable too. Both great for serves and volleys, but Plus had more and easier power on serves as mentioned, and Tour slightly better and stable on volleys.The main issue I had with Tour was that I had to play with more spin to keep the ball in, whereas with Plus I didnt have this issue, maybe its 10grams more weight that gave more power and also that I had swing Tour more to get power, and this made the balls fly if I didnt spin.

      This guys tried to convince us that the tour is better! Let’s be realistic they are not going to make a better racquet than the yonex dr 98!

    I just found a pair of the DR 98s on ebay. Got a pretty good deal at about $100 for each. Cant wait to try them out

    Hi, liked the video a lot. Was looking for review time ago. I used to have Yonex RDS001 which is 90sq inch. It was great a lot accuracy but no power. Then switched to Ezone 98 (not plus version) and love it. Much more powerful and almost same precision. I never tried the plus version. And now I have the Ezone tour but is under the Christmas tree. So will wait a bit until trying it. Again, thank you for great review.

    For some reason the new ezone 98 is too stiff and it hurt my wrist. I have both AI and dr and they are perfect. Why they kill those two lines ?

      All around player I'd like to say. Alternatively, agressive baseliner.

    Some have commented that the balance of the 98 tour makes it less suitable for one handed backhands. What are your thoughts?

    • @MichaelMilanov
      @MichaelMilanov  3 роки тому

      Subjective based on feel but I think more weight needs to be in the throat of the racquet to make it easier for one handers to use. Possible with this racquet but I would say the regular 98 can be weighted to make it more suitable for one handers.

    2021 Head Extreme 360+ Radical PRO vs 2021 VCore 95 similarity/difference? I have Head Extreme 360 + Pro what is excellent, I like the power very much but I would need more accuracy.

      I have not tested either of these yet but know that the Vcore 95 previous gen is amazing. I demoed it once and plan to test it again vs the 2021 version.

    Thanks for the comparison, extremely comprehensive. Do you plan to compare the DR98+ to the current 98+? I have come to the party late with the DR98+ having only started playing with it in the last 2 months. What a gem, what I'm enjoying most is the depth from the baseline and of course serving.

      I agree completely. I do wonder why they’re making this shift. Maybe there’s something in the technology they’re making small changes to that we’re unaware of to increase the sweet spot is my best guess.

      @@MichaelMilanov i feel like yonex rackets are a lot "rounder" in general nowadays.. maybe it's a marketing thing as I feel many people found the rackets to be a bit "weird" and therefore leaned more towards rackets with a more traditional shape. Would love to know their reasons behind this shift as well!

    Will there be an Ezone 98 tour + coming out? I also use the DR98+ and been playing with this for 3 years and just slightly concerned that changing to a slightly shorter racket will throw off my game. Many thanks! (4.5 player)

    • @MichaelMilanov
      @MichaelMilanov  4 роки тому

      It would be amazing if they ever do just like Babolat has previously but my guess is they will not since the market isn’t large enough for Tour Plus racquets. Plus size racquets typically have that extra plow/stability making them an in between option of the standard 27” frame and Tour versions of their relative racquet.
