The “banning” of gel and air-soft in China has lead a lot of the manufacturers to turn to foam. I don’t have the complete story but I believe this “blaster” was a retrofitted design originally intended for a completely different ammunition type. A video on other products like this would be great, Chinese Taobao is absolutely filled with weird and wonderful products, I don’t know how many of them make it to Amazon, Wish etc.
This could have actually been something really cool, with proper half-dart shells and good performance like the Firefly. Thanks for the video Frank, and I agree that a warning about cheap, poor quality blasters would be good! 🧡💜💚

interesting info guys : this product was first designed as a gel blaster , but shortly after it hit the market , CHN government banned all gel blasters （gel blasters are somewhat in a grey area right now） . So the manufacturer had to come up with an idea to keep selling their product , that idea was to transform it into a foam blaster basically by making a new shell type for foam darts （the shells used for shooting gel actually allow it to shoot multiple rounds at one time）, and it was just an entry level gel blaster to begin with , so the performance can only get worse because now you shoot foam on the same platform . Now on China's market , there're even blasters based on Winchester rifles that shoot foam when you frontload them but shoot gel when loading in shells , and the foam shooting function is just a scam they use so the products can be sold legally .
for the gels conversion to work, the blaster also need to be equipped with an inner barrel. so yes, they even SELL inner barrel kit, approximately 8mm in diameter (gels size ard 7.5-8mm) to make for total conversion to gel blaster
Hmm I think you got the Sembylon version (If I am not mistaken) instead of the Original one from UDL, you can already tell from the box and the trigger color of the blaster is suppose to be red not black. Mine did not experience all the problem that you've mention in the video and the one that I am using is able to load in 5 shells. But any way, nice video Coop! it is very informative, I was actually trying to get the Sembylon version to do a side by side comparison but it was pretty hard to get as it goes out of stock pretty fast haha :)

I have this exact gun, and I would like to rebuttal a few points: I am able to hold 5 shells in the tube, Idk why you said it only holds 3. Jamming isn't ever a problem for me, as even if a shell does get stuck it is very easy for me to get it unjammed by just rechambering and it fixes the problem I have never had a problem with the darts not coming out, they always worked as intended. Maybe the gun you have is a knock off of the gun i have, because I compared your link and my link to the gun, and mine has a different manufacturer. Also, I noticed a few differences between your gun and mine, like how the tube spring handle is black, unlike mine which is red.
Exactly, me too. I have this blaster as well and doesn't have any issue as the one coop has. Mine also has a red spring cap and doesn't have the screw sticking out in the barrel. I think coop has a different blaster compared to the one we have.
I've seen this thing and other blasters similar to this modeled after real steel firearms all over the place in UA-cam shorts with the people using stock sound effects and being like "THIS THING'S SO COOL IT EJECTS THE SHELLS", but I never thought it was THIS bad. Kinda hilarious but also saddening that people are actually purchasing these and expecting something decent.
I'm so glad I watched this review. The initial thumbnail, and very beginning of the introduction, both made me think that this was a slam dunk. I love the aesthetic, and I've seen a lot of cool stuff coming out of China. I would be totally down for a group trash review to expose all the deficiencies in this cheap cash grab market. I think the quality control for this blaster varies from blaster to blaster. Mine doesn't have that screw sticking out inside the barrel. It also never jam like coop's. I don't recommend this blaster for performance nerfer though as it only hits about 50-60fps.
I have one of these. Yes the range sucks. They do not shoot well at all, however mine does hold 5 shells in the internal tube mag, as well as 1 in the chamber so you can load 6 in it. Mine feeds fairly reliably also. Not perfect, does jam sometimes but it’s not that often. Also, yes the safety is backwards to my real steel shotgun which I only noticed when he mentioned it since I don’t use the safety on either. My safety is not having a round in the chamber.
I bought this blaster, it's actually massively fun to shoot! I paid about 60 bucks for it, and it does not have the same issues as the blaster in the video. Jams happen from time to time, but they're easy to clear once you learn how the blaster works. The biggest issue is that it seems to be quite difficult to find extra shells for it. Mine came in a different box, so might be that the one in the video is a knockoff.. Mine also only came with 6 shells, no red dot sight or shell holder, but the design is pretty much identical. As for loading capacity, mine holds 5 shells + 1 in chamber, so 6 total. And there are no screws poking into the barrel. Looking closely at his blaster, it doesn't have the UDL logo, so I suspect it's a knockoff shown in this video, a hugely overpriced one at that. Careful what you buy of Amazon, I guess...
There is a different version of this blaster that I own that holds 5+1 shells, doesn’t have the screws poking out of the barrel, and seems to function a little better. It comes with less shells, no shell holder, and no red dot. Honestly though I just have it because it looks cool.

I got the updated version of this one in the mail a couple of days ago, and wow, I haven't had any of coop's problems, this thing is fun as hell to use. ALSO, with the dart fit problem, it's completely the manufacturer's fault. The darts suuuuck. I recommend half-lengths HIGHLY.

So this is obviously based aesthetically on the Bonelli M4. This is the same shotgun that is used here in the US Marine Corps. The stock was designed the way it is to easily lock up very close to the grip so that it does not interfere with the flak(plate carrier). It makes it much easier to wield in close quarters. Which as a breaching tool is what it will usually be used in.
@@Davenzoid It rotates when you go to adjust the length of pull, it's not just a straight pull like an M4 carbine stock. However you have to push a button to unlock it so it can rotate, it doesn't just do it whenever.
That's a shame because I like what they were doing here. For a father this would make a great gift (in theory) for a kid to teach them shotgun handling and safety. I started bird hunting with my family in my early teens and something like this would have been a blast when I was really little. Thanks for pointing people away from this option!
I know, I grew up around real guns and got acquainted to them, but I wasn’t a very rowdy kid. I imagine that some parents don’t like the idea of a child using a firearm, but for any parent with a firearm it is key to teach them about gun safety early on.
One thing to consider about this blaster is that the one sold on Amazon that coop has is either an outdated version from the Chinese company or a knockoff version as the other reviews on UA-cam and a few other sources say that this blaster isn’t that bad. Further evidence is that this blaster only has a capacity of 3 but other reviews show a blaster with a capacity of 5
The ability to turn the Gun to Side without moving the Stock has also some real Shotguns (like tactical Verions from Benelli) and the use of it is really to make sure your chamber is empty after the last shot without breaking your hold (sorry for my maybe not so good english but I hope you understood what I meant)
It's a super cool and pretty looking replica of a Benelli M4, which I think is the main purpose of this product. Shell ejection is just for cool anyways. We are already sacrificing performance, so I'm not too bothered by it. It seems like they at least used good materials and mostly did a good job copying the original firearm, so I wouldn't call it overall trash, just trash performance.
More trashy reviews would actually be very interesting! Mainly to warn us away from the trash, you know the whole 'I go through the struggle so you don't' with the reviews, but also in case you find a diamond in the rough. Who knows! It's very unlikely but seeing more than Dart Zone and Nerf would be awesome!

Weird, mine holds 6 shells without issue. And the rotating stock is how you unlock the real Benelli M4 stock to extend it. I guess this is another example of chinese manufacturers including half assed features in their copied products without fully understanding their purpose. Been an issue since they were copying Mauser and FN pistols in the 30s.
Pro tip: if you don't want to watch the blaster fire -- or more accurately, not fire -- you can always look at Coop's dog. You have a very cute dog btw :)
Theres multiple of this thing but i dont think they are all the same brand i saw a sawn off m870 and a full stock m870 and extremely overpriced (in my country) kar98k and mosin
It shoots jolt levels of power, mine came primed, which made it weaker and it basically has all the same flaws minus gumming up as badly or as often and it doesn't have any weird barrel screws. So slightly better, but it has potential with better shells and a stronger spring/better air seal. I guess the same could be said of all of these knock off's though. Edit: It also holds 5+1, so better ammo capacity.
The lever action I got was awesome. Have to be really careful what you purchase, some models are shell eject only and do not fire darts. With my purple lever action, I can one hand prime it if I use my shoulder as a brace. When primed, can spin-cock it just like the terminator. The blue one I got does not fire darts, which kinda stinks but oh well.
This is one of the worst versions of the blaster I've come across, and way too overpriced as well. There's a 6 shell capacity version (one in the pipe and 5 in the mag) that doesn't have the kind of problems you're having. Most pre-buit/pre-assembled (for the most part) blasters coming out of China are *INTENTIONALLY* done with low to very low FPS - allegedly to comply with Chinese "toy" laws. Some sellers that sell variants of that blaster also sell spring upgrades for them separately to get around "compliance laws". Normally, they "allegedly" can't sell a hard hitting blaster out of the box *UNLESS* it's a kit that you have to build yourself. Nerf "rifle" replicas like that still comes partly pre-assembled (especially the main body), so naturally, the fps will suck on purpose. This isn't a dig against Coop or anybody, I actually agree with him about that thing being garbage. I'm just trying to explain why the fps sucks and also why the QC/QA of that thing is horrible.

Will have to hunt it down as they're sold in a lot of places under different names/brands - Amazon being one of them. You can either follow Coop's link in the description of this video, or venture to other sites. Or you can just search UDL XM1014 Shell Ejecting Nerf Blaster. That's the actual name of the "original KO" as the one Coop bought was a knock-off of a knock-off. Coop essentially got scammed with a KO knock-off!! Yes, that's a thing - there really ARE knock-offs of knock-offs.
@@wbybhx9939 as far as I can recall, I believe the real UDL has at least more capacity than the one Coop bought. I remember one guy shoving at least 4 or 5 shells into it (the 5th being in the pipe, or was that 6th, I can't remember).
I hope that adventure force or out of darts makes something based off this which actually works well. This thing makes the warden look like a nexus pro
My man here just saved me some money. I saw this on Amazon and impulsively put it in my cart. I did a quick Google search of the product, found this video, and emptied my cart.
There's a different version of this blaster. You'll want the one made by udl. It doesn't have the screw sticking in the barrel. It also hold 5+1 unlike the one coop has. The cap at the end of the magazine tube and the bottom of the grip is also red not black like coops. The udl version doesn't jam but it doesn't shoot hard maybe around 60fps. Don't get the fake one coop has, get the udl version instead.
So I didn't buy this one, but I bought the UDL m1887. My opinion is basically the same as in this video. However, it doesn't gum up like you describe this one plus there is a fairly easy spring swap and I've designed a much better shell for it. Watching this vid has made me want to review mine in a video. Edit: Big question, was yours primed on arrival? Mine was primed on arrival.

@@timliefferink the shells can't load multiple ball rounds in them but will work with half darts. Loading also takes some getting used to, but other that that, it's alright.
@@timliefferink loads shells in pretty smooth, once you get used to the funky loading gate. Occasionally, like about one in 20 primes, a shell will fail to lift from the elevator into the chamber, but it's nothing catastrophic. (This means the shell did load from the mag tube into the elevator, but failed to clear enough to chamber, you'll feel it seize up when it happens.) You can also have a shell shoot back from the tube if you fail to properly insert the shell, forcing you to finagle the shell back into the tube. Overall, I would say it's got some quirks, but nothing too demanding, it is annoying when it happens, but I haven't noticed any significant malfunctions from the blaster itself, which may be due more in part thanks to John Moses Browning.
Hey coop! I would like to say that the brand of this blaster is actually a Chinese brand. The one that I got holds five shells but can hold one more if you prime the blaster and load the other shell.
It actually can hold a total of 6 shells, 5 + 1 in the chamber but i recommend only 4 + 1 in the chamber since it will push the spring a bit too hard :)
If the problems it has are easily fixed, then it might be worth picking up, especially if you can get a discount. The screws in the barrel would be easy since you could cut them or maybe replace them with different screws. You could probably increase the mag tube capacity unless there is something there that just can't be removed. The only thing that might be tricky are the internals in the receiver.
In short, just get a Spring Thunder. It runs consistently, does different shell types, and can actually do shotgun-style scattershot, and actually doesn't cost all *that* much more.
I think you might have a lemon or inferior version Gordon soo made review on same blaster (with orange trigger) That worked much more consistently and shoot harder
Yeah, I have one too and it's a real looker but not much of a performer. But still, it holds 5 in the tube and has no screws blocking the barrel, so I think maybe Coop got screwed by a "knockoff knockoff" that isn't even the gray-market UDL "brand".
One thing that made me excited for this(though I think it’s illegal) is that it’s clearly modeled after John Wick’s Benelli M4 because it even has the Taran Tactical logo as seen in the movie! But the price and poor quality are real bummers. Thanks for the heads up!

I have this and the quality is actually pretty good. The company that made this is UDL, a chinese company that used to make gel blaster. The one coop has is different and most likely a fake UDL. The good one has a red coloured tube magazine cap and a red bottom on the grip, Coop's was black. The real one holds 5 in the tube and 1 in the chamber. Coop's holds only 4. The real one coms with only 6 shells, coop's comes with 10. The real one doesn't have the screw portruding in the barrel. However, even the real one doesn't shoot fast, only around 60fps.
I live in Hong Kong and I bought this blaster for roughly 30USD (including shipping), mine hold 5 + 1 shells and definitely shoots above 50 fps, jams happened sometime but not to a point where it annoys me. The colour of my shotgun is slightly different from Coops and there isn’t anything blocking the barrel. Is it possible that this is the knock off version?
Yeah, I wonder if he got a knockoff of the knockoff. The box wasn't onscreen for long, but mine is the UDL brand and looks identical, but definitely holds FIVE shells, not just three. And no screws blocking the barrel either.

The fact that they name drop Taran Tactical, the range where Keanu does his ballistics training for the John Wick movies, on the shell just goes to show how much they were hoping for fans and cosplayers to just buy it for those credit points alone
I bought something similar off a facebook ad. It was a glock 19 and it shot mini foam darts pressed into plastic shells. Maybe I'll find you reviewing that one soon.
As a gun nerd, this thing claiming it’s an M1014 angers me, because that’s literally a semi auto combat shotgun, not a pump action shit-gun. Also Italy is jacked, and this thing disrespecting that area bugs me, even as a Canadian.
Hey Coop, when mentioning average stats such as how many times an issue occurred (for example in this vid you said 5 times during your testing) can u give an average out of how many attempts such as saying it jammed 4 to 5 times out of 1000 shots. When u say something as vague as it just jammed 5 times it dosent properly articulate how many times the issue presents itself. Just a bit of constructive criticism, love your vids and keep up the great work dudebro
That's 100% designed after the Beneli m4 (hope I spelled that right) it's a 12 gage semi auto shotgun the reason why the stock twisted was that was how you adjusted it.
Can you chamber a round and then load an extra shell into the mag tube? I wonder if this would at least be useful as a teaching tool for operating a real shotgun. EDIT: Yikes, I just heard the price tag. Seems better to just run snap caps in an actual shotgun for teaching/practicing. As always, great consumer advice, Coop. Thanks!

It looks really cool tho. More as a prop weapon. Maybe they’ll refine it and fix its issues but maybe other custom or off brand companies can make something similar in function and look that performs well. At least this is still better than the Warden

Only thing i could see this being used for is a film making project where you can edit the shell ejection in post. You could paint this black and have a Benelli M4 for cosplay or film making
I love this review style I just want the straight and detailed facts. I’m a dad who wants to drop some money on a “dad nerf gun” so I can have fun shooting the kids when they want to play so I want it to be nice and fun but not competitive. I wasn’t expecting competitive with this but for a 150 dollars I was at least expecting it to work. Thanks for saving my money man!
Yes, it doesn't shoot far, only about 60fps. However, after i watched coop's review, it seems there are different versions of this blaster. I have one and it's different with coop's model. Mine holds 6 shells and doesn't have screw sticking out in the barrel. Mine fires consistently and never jams. The colour of the end cap on the magazine spring is also different with mine. I think the one coop has is a different version to mine.

This is a model originally designed to fire gel pellets, and the screw is used to shatter the gel into multiple pieces to simulate a shotgun fire.

I have an arisoft version of this same shot gun and it foires 3 pellets 10 times per shell, but does not eject the shell.

Exactly, me too. I have this blaster as well and doesn't have any issue as the one coop has. Mine also has a red spring cap and doesn't have the screw sticking out in the barrel. I think coop has a different blaster compared to the one we have.

I've seen this thing and other blasters similar to this modeled after real steel firearms all over the place in UA-cam shorts with the people using stock sound effects and being like "THIS THING'S SO COOL IT EJECTS THE SHELLS", but I never thought it was THIS bad. Kinda hilarious but also saddening that people are actually purchasing these and expecting something decent.

I'm so glad I watched this review. The initial thumbnail, and very beginning of the introduction, both made me think that this was a slam dunk. I love the aesthetic, and I've seen a lot of cool stuff coming out of China. I would be totally down for a group trash review to expose all the deficiencies in this cheap cash grab market. I think the quality control for this blaster varies from blaster to blaster. Mine doesn't have that screw sticking out inside the barrel. It also never jam like coop's. I don't recommend this blaster for performance nerfer though as it only hits about 50-60fps.

I have one of these. Yes the range sucks. They do not shoot well at all, however mine does hold 5 shells in the internal tube mag, as well as 1 in the chamber so you can load 6 in it. Mine feeds fairly reliably also. Not perfect, does jam sometimes but it’s not that often. Also, yes the safety is backwards to my real steel shotgun which I only noticed when he mentioned it since I don’t use the safety on either. My safety is not having a round in the chamber.
I bought this blaster, it's actually massively fun to shoot! I paid about 60 bucks for it, and it does not have the same issues as the blaster in the video. Jams happen from time to time, but they're easy to clear once you learn how the blaster works. The biggest issue is that it seems to be quite difficult to find extra shells for it. Mine came in a different box, so might be that the one in the video is a knockoff.. Mine also only came with 6 shells, no red dot sight or shell holder, but the design is pretty much identical. As for loading capacity, mine holds 5 shells + 1 in chamber, so 6 total. And there are no screws poking into the barrel. Looking closely at his blaster, it doesn't have the UDL logo, so I suspect it's a knockoff shown in this video, a hugely overpriced one at that. Careful what you buy of Amazon, I guess...
For what it's worth, the weird twisting function of the stock is a carry-over from the actual Benelli M4 stock.,
There is a different version of this blaster that I own that holds 5+1 shells, doesn’t have the screws poking out of the barrel, and seems to function a little better. It comes with less shells, no shell holder, and no red dot. Honestly though I just have it because it looks cool.

I got the updated version of this one in the mail a couple of days ago, and wow, I haven't had any of coop's problems, this thing is fun as hell to use. ALSO, with the dart fit problem, it's completely the manufacturer's fault. The darts suuuuck. I recommend half-lengths HIGHLY.

So this is obviously based aesthetically on the Bonelli M4. This is the same shotgun that is used here in the US Marine Corps. The stock was designed the way it is to easily lock up very close to the grip so that it does not interfere with the flak(plate carrier). It makes it much easier to wield in close quarters. Which as a breaching tool is what it will usually be used in.

@@Davenzoid It rotates when you go to adjust the length of pull, it's not just a straight pull like an M4 carbine stock. However you have to push a button to unlock it so it can rotate, it doesn't just do it whenever.

I started bird hunting with my family in my early teens and something like this would have been a blast when I was really little. Thanks for pointing people away from this option!
I know, I grew up around real guns and got acquainted to them, but I wasn’t a very rowdy kid. I imagine that some parents don’t like the idea of a child using a firearm, but for any parent with a firearm it is key to teach them about gun safety early on.
One thing to consider about this blaster is that the one sold on Amazon that coop has is either an outdated version from the Chinese company or a knockoff version as the other reviews on UA-cam and a few other sources say that this blaster isn’t that bad.
Further evidence is that this blaster only has a capacity of 3 but other reviews show a blaster with a capacity of 5

They’re both mag fed, pump action and a free tag. Very similar.
The ability to turn the Gun to Side without moving the Stock has also some real Shotguns (like tactical Verions from Benelli) and the use of it is really to make sure your chamber is empty after the last shot without breaking your hold (sorry for my maybe not so good english but I hope you understood what I meant)
It's a super cool and pretty looking replica of a Benelli M4, which I think is the main purpose of this product. Shell ejection is just for cool anyways. We are already sacrificing performance, so I'm not too bothered by it. It seems like they at least used good materials and mostly did a good job copying the original firearm, so I wouldn't call it overall trash, just trash performance.
More trashy reviews would actually be very interesting! Mainly to warn us away from the trash, you know the whole 'I go through the struggle so you don't' with the reviews, but also in case you find a diamond in the rough. Who knows! It's very unlikely but seeing more than Dart Zone and Nerf would be awesome!

Weird, mine holds 6 shells without issue. And the rotating stock is how you unlock the real Benelli M4 stock to extend it. I guess this is another example of chinese manufacturers including half assed features in their copied products without fully understanding their purpose. Been an issue since they were copying Mauser and FN pistols in the 30s.

I saw a lever-action shotgun from the same brand. It looks awesome but doubtful about its practically. You should review it to see if it's any good.
Theres multiple of this thing but i dont think they are all the same brand i saw a sawn off m870 and a full stock m870 and extremely overpriced (in my country) kar98k and mosin
It shoots jolt levels of power, mine came primed, which made it weaker and it basically has all the same flaws minus gumming up as badly or as often and it doesn't have any weird barrel screws. So slightly better, but it has potential with better shells and a stronger spring/better air seal. I guess the same could be said of all of these knock off's though.
Edit: It also holds 5+1, so better ammo capacity.

The lever action I got was awesome. Have to be really careful what you purchase, some models are shell eject only and do not fire darts. With my purple lever action, I can one hand prime it if I use my shoulder as a brace. When primed, can spin-cock it just like the terminator. The blue one I got does not fire darts, which kinda stinks but oh well.

This is one of the worst versions of the blaster I've come across, and way too overpriced as well. There's a 6 shell capacity version (one in the pipe and 5 in the mag) that doesn't have the kind of problems you're having. Most pre-buit/pre-assembled (for the most part) blasters coming out of China are *INTENTIONALLY* done with low to very low FPS - allegedly to comply with Chinese "toy" laws. Some sellers that sell variants of that blaster also sell spring upgrades for them separately to get around "compliance laws". Normally, they "allegedly" can't sell a hard hitting blaster out of the box *UNLESS* it's a kit that you have to build yourself. Nerf "rifle" replicas like that still comes partly pre-assembled (especially the main body), so naturally, the fps will suck on purpose.
This isn't a dig against Coop or anybody, I actually agree with him about that thing being garbage. I'm just trying to explain why the fps sucks and also why the QC/QA of that thing is horrible.

Will have to hunt it down as they're sold in a lot of places under different names/brands - Amazon being one of them. You can either follow Coop's link in the description of this video, or venture to other sites. Or you can just search UDL XM1014 Shell Ejecting Nerf Blaster. That's the actual name of the "original KO" as the one Coop bought was a knock-off of a knock-off. Coop essentially got scammed with a KO knock-off!! Yes, that's a thing - there really ARE knock-offs of knock-offs.

@@wbybhx9939 as far as I can recall, I believe the real UDL has at least more capacity than the one Coop bought. I remember one guy shoving at least 4 or 5 shells into it (the 5th being in the pipe, or was that 6th, I can't remember).

My man here just saved me some money. I saw this on Amazon and impulsively put it in my cart. I did a quick Google search of the product, found this video, and emptied my cart.
There's a different version of this blaster. You'll want the one made by udl. It doesn't have the screw sticking in the barrel. It also hold 5+1 unlike the one coop has. The cap at the end of the magazine tube and the bottom of the grip is also red not black like coops. The udl version doesn't jam but it doesn't shoot hard maybe around 60fps. Don't get the fake one coop has, get the udl version instead.
I love how in the firing demo, coop's dog is just watching coop or the hallway where he's shooting at.
So I didn't buy this one, but I bought the UDL m1887. My opinion is basically the same as in this video. However, it doesn't gum up like you describe this one plus there is a fairly easy spring swap and I've designed a much better shell for it. Watching this vid has made me want to review mine in a video.

@@timliefferink the shells can't load multiple ball rounds in them but will work with half darts. Loading also takes some getting used to, but other that that, it's alright.

@@timliefferink loads shells in pretty smooth, once you get used to the funky loading gate. Occasionally, like about one in 20 primes, a shell will fail to lift from the elevator into the chamber, but it's nothing catastrophic. (This means the shell did load from the mag tube into the elevator, but failed to clear enough to chamber, you'll feel it seize up when it happens.) You can also have a shell shoot back from the tube if you fail to properly insert the shell, forcing you to finagle the shell back into the tube. Overall, I would say it's got some quirks, but nothing too demanding, it is annoying when it happens, but I haven't noticed any significant malfunctions from the blaster itself, which may be due more in part thanks to John Moses Browning.
Not to mention they’re $150 on Amazon, so might wanna be using that money on the Dart Zone Pro MKIII for the better money, along with extra magazine.
id use the money on the nerf trilogy so i can get a nerf shotgun that actually works :p

It actually can hold a total of 6 shells, 5 + 1 in the chamber but i recommend only 4 + 1 in the chamber since it will push the spring a bit too hard :)
I broke mine because of this reason, it broke the stoper from stop feet the shell to the chamber, now all shell want to go to the chamber at once.
If the problems it has are easily fixed, then it might be worth picking up, especially if you can get a discount. The screws in the barrel would be easy since you could cut them or maybe replace them with different screws. You could probably increase the mag tube capacity unless there is something there that just can't be removed. The only thing that might be tricky are the internals in the receiver.
Is it worth it though? Buy a $150 blaster just to maybe fix it sounds like a waste.
In short, just get a Spring Thunder. It runs consistently, does different shell types, and can actually do shotgun-style scattershot, and actually doesn't cost all *that* much more.

Yeah, I have one too and it's a real looker but not much of a performer. But still, it holds 5 in the tube and has no screws blocking the barrel, so I think maybe Coop got screwed by a "knockoff knockoff" that isn't even the gray-market UDL "brand".
One thing that made me excited for this(though I think it’s illegal) is that it’s clearly modeled after John Wick’s Benelli M4 because it even has the Taran Tactical logo as seen in the movie! But the price and poor quality are real bummers. Thanks for the heads up!

I have this and the quality is actually pretty good. The company that made this is UDL, a chinese company that used to make gel blaster. The one coop has is different and most likely a fake UDL. The good one has a red coloured tube magazine cap and a red bottom on the grip, Coop's was black. The real one holds 5 in the tube and 1 in the chamber. Coop's holds only 4. The real one coms with only 6 shells, coop's comes with 10. The real one doesn't have the screw portruding in the barrel. However, even the real one doesn't shoot fast, only around 60fps.
Technically, the shotgun is just the military version of the benelli m4 but that's not the point I glad someone else noticed that too.

I live in Hong Kong and I bought this blaster for roughly 30USD (including shipping), mine hold 5 + 1 shells and definitely shoots above 50 fps, jams happened sometime but not to a point where it annoys me. The colour of my shotgun is slightly different from Coops and there isn’t anything blocking the barrel. Is it possible that this is the knock off version?
Yeah, I wonder if he got a knockoff of the knockoff. The box wasn't onscreen for long, but mine is the UDL brand and looks identical, but definitely holds FIVE shells, not just three. And no screws blocking the barrel either.

I bought something similar off a facebook ad. It was a glock 19 and it shot mini foam darts pressed into plastic shells. Maybe I'll find you reviewing that one soon.
As a gun nerd, this thing claiming it’s an M1014 angers me, because that’s literally a semi auto combat shotgun, not a pump action shit-gun. Also Italy is jacked, and this thing disrespecting that area bugs me, even as a Canadian.

Hey Coop, when mentioning average stats such as how many times an issue occurred (for example in this vid you said 5 times during your testing) can u give an average out of how many attempts such as saying it jammed 4 to 5 times out of 1000 shots. When u say something as vague as it just jammed 5 times it dosent properly articulate how many times the issue presents itself. That's 100% designed after the Beneli m4 (hope I spelled that right) it's a 12 gage semi auto shotgun the reason why the stock twisted was that was how you adjusted it.

Only thing i could see this being used for is a film making project where you can edit the shell ejection in post. You could paint this black and have a Benelli M4 for cosplay or film making
I love this review style I just want the straight and detailed facts. I’m a dad who wants to drop some money on a “dad nerf gun” so I can have fun shooting the kids when they want to play so I want it to be nice and fun but not competitive. I wasn’t expecting competitive with this but for a 150 dollars I was at least expecting it to work. Thanks for saving my money man!
