I like one guys idea that I saw on Reddit. He proposed that the Spartans should have lights on their body glowing either red a blue to indicate team color. It keeps the obviousness of the outline system while keeping it more in the game world.
A toggle option for red vs blue would be amazing, honestly. And while I also do want a bit more customization in team gametypes, seeing blue players killing other blue players in a team gametype is cursed
A rocket league-esque system where you have a set of colors that you can choose for each team (ex. Blue team could select different shades of blue, purple and green and red could select different shades of red, orange and yellow) would have been cool.
@@mosterchife6045 I was thinking something along the lines of that too, honestly. I was thinking back to how the actual show Red vs. Blue did it and yeah, it's basically like that, but I could also see how that could be confusing with anything that isn't just a different shade of blue and red
I feel it would have been a better idea to just drop the outlines and have a mark above your teammates. Like past halos minus red and blue. Its how pretty much every other pvp game works and also allows for people to show off their armor.
Hey man, even if this video is late, just remember to balance your personal life. It doesn't matter if you pump out content late, just as long as you're taking your time
Let’s be real... red vs blue should be a toggle switch, just like new skins in MCC. There’s no reason we can’t have both. Edit: I wrote this right before it was mentioned in the video, maybe they’ll surprise us. I would opt for the armour coatings but I think RvB should always be in Halo.
Yeah it's kind of a compromise cuz I've always wanted to be able to just display armor colors but if that means outlines that can be a mess. I don't think it'll be a big issue though, Overwatch has been doing outlines and floating names since it released and it works, though obviously it's really hard to be sneaky.
@@Cheesepuff8 Easy solution to make the coatings relevant: Make it so the coatings only set the position of the colors, but the colors are freely customizable. The Mass Effect-like coating with the black armor and red arm could be white with blue, or green with a white arm. This would make the team colors still work with coatings.
@@mirandag7668 And of course, can't forget about armor lights on Spartans being red, Overwatch did it too and it looked pretty fuckin' sweet so I think Infinite should do it too.
I think we'll probably start seeing e-sports coatings before too long, basically just jersey skins for different teams. I've already accepted that the skins will probably start to get all looney tunes before too long (please prove me wrong, 343), but I'm more excited about the bot support for multiplayer. It's just a very short leap from this to one of Halo's oldest white buffalos: forgeable AI.
Overwatch had e-sport team skins that were just the default model(of every character) with palette swaps on the weapons, clothes, armor, equipment, etc.
I would like to see a series where you look at and feature all sorts of player-made forge maps and custom games. This would not only showcase and possibly help popularize any forge maps and gamemodes, but would certainly motivate a lot of creativity from within your audience as everyone tries to make something new and unique in the hopes of being featured in a video :)
Honestly would love seeing this as a game feature, too! Doom 2016's snapmap and Bungie's monthly favorites were amazing ways to just immerse yourself into what the community is up to! Seeing that stuff in-game, while also having the ability to download and play it instantaneously, that was GOOD stuff, man. Come to think of it, Valve does this with Steam Workshop, and look at how wonderful that has served their communities!
On the note of games losing artistic style, I feel that 343 could go the Destiny way, where it’s been running for years at this point, and due to the expansiveness of the universe and ideas in it, it can’t really lose the art style, Halo is such a massive universe I think it would be weird if 343 went that route, since halo has so many options to make unique armours out of, without breaking halo. A good example would be Helioskrill from 5, where it’s meant to be like a set of elite armour.
@@argo9721 I think a fun thing halo can do now is crossover armors now that Microsoft owns half a million game studios. It would be fun to see stuff like doom armor mashups or Bethesda crossover events
I wish for the colors they had adopted something closer to what DOOM 2016's multiplayer did. You could pick a primary/secondary color for your armor, but many of the different colors were locked so you had to level to get to the flashier ones, like the ones with a pearlescent or matte finish. I think 343 could've done something similar while still monetizing the system, i.e while being able to choose primary/secondary colors, leave the standard colors free but have like pearlescent/matte colors or different colored camo patterns be something you could buy or unlock by playing the game. DOOM 2k16's multiplayer did a lot wrong, but the customization was absolutely not one of them.
Rocket League has a ton of colour options for red and blue, just locked into a range of orange>red and purple>blue so you can identify each team easily. Really doesn't seem that crazy to have fully customisable secondary(/tertiary??) colours, and options for what shade of red or blue team you want your primary to be.
I think how BL3 did it could work, you have skins/coatings/colour configurations, but then you can change the primary/secondary/tertiary colours of those skins
@@bombomos Like I said, for the fancier/flashier color options, for examples colors with a special finish or camo pattern, they could charge for them and maybe have a few available as unlocks either for the base game or part of a battle pass. Assuming there's like 10-20 base colors to start with, you can then have the same number in however many other finishes/camo patterns as they can think of, and could charge, for example, $0.99 for the less popular ones, up to $4.99 for the particularly sought-after ones. With this model I'm assuming there's at least 30 different color variants that could be available for purchase (though I'd hope that some of them you could unlock just by playing). Keep in mind too, this could also apply to weapon customization. It's probably less profitable in the long run over however many thousands of color combinations they can make coatings out of, but I think it would make for much more freedom for player expression.
13:47, that is probably the biggest thing that I am dreading from infinite's multiplayer. It's one thing to start strong, but it's a whole other thing to remain strong well after launch. And while I am glad to see that infinite will be more accessible than it ever was, I'm also worried that with the new influx of players 343 now needs to cater to an entirely new audience which could ultimately deviate from the core identity of the game as a whole.
11:10 That image is of a great idea, do battlefield style team designation with the color of their tag above their head. Just make sure to include BF4's wonderful colorblind mode options to customize the colors of the names above the player
Actually, HiddenXperia pointed out that there is a coating called "Cadet Orange", so maybe there a basic colour coatings for everyone when starting multiplayer!
@@LateNightHalo it looks like sprint, slide, and clamber are the only parts of enhanced mobility returning. I think it's a good middle ground, especially since they are tuned the way halo 5 tuned those abilities.
@@jackcolson4745 I’d hope they’re not tuned like H5. H5’s sprint was really harmful for map design. The Spartans moved way too fast and the unlimited sprint just caused further issues in making the game too sweaty
@@LateNightHalo when I mean tuned, I mean it takes long to get to max speed to enable cripple or stopping power, the recharge wait timer resetting when sprinting, and the instantaneous transition between sprinting and shooting, i.e. no long animations just to put your gun down.
@@jackcolson4745 Have you watched the footage? There is no acceleration and you get to max speed almost instantly. There’s also no cripple visible. I think it’s better than halo 5 but it looks about as different as it can be.
@@LateNightHalo yeah, but that was because it was linked to night vision. I personally like the HUD showing the read out of hostiles; makes me feel like I'm running with expensive gear and equipment that gives me an edge
They could add red or blue lights on your Spartan’s armor. To be able to tell who’s on your team and who’s not. This would be similar to Titanfall 2’s system.
I’m just happy that they’re going super hard on sandbox focused gameplay again. I’m not super huge on 4 or 5, so it’s cool to see them going back to what works again and trying to find more new things to do with it. Also the Razorback is super cool looking, I’ve been wanting to drive the troop transport hog in multiplayer for like 13 years now, so seeing an even better version with a trunk you can put stuff in is just awesome.
I noticed that when people have a oversheild in their pocket, there's a trail letting you know they have one, but isn't activated. You see it for only a second in the Vidoc, but I think that's a good idea for balancing
@@zirzeus2645 If you have really good eyesight, then you can see a grappling hook or a Repulsor on the player's arm. I think that they should only do a trail for overshield and active camo.
iirc in terms of cosmetics, 343 mentioned that everything is earned in game through mainly the battle pass and that individual items can never just be bought and that you must play to earn it. The battle pass also never expires either, reason being that they don't want the players playing the playing the game like it's a job. The Waypoint article also shows that there are battle pass for those that you can buy, those that are free, and those if you bought the campaign too.
Multiplayer map reviews from each halo game. You could talk about level design, gun placement, lanes, the lore or story behind each multiplayer map. You could even review or breakdown the campaign levels too. It could be all in the spirit of comparing the levels and maps to see wich maps and levels are more Halo than others. Its also ALOOOT of content. Cheers
Infinite literally does not need to have the outlines on the spartans when they could just have the service tag over teammates. It worked perfectly well before and it will work again without having the gross red and blue borders over the spartans, and it'll show off the customisation options better.
Referring to the last section of this video: I think a video about your experience with bots in different games would be great. From what I've seen, in my opinion, you're quite great at describing your experience about things as seen from your marine videos and the nostalgia regarding the stories in the Halo maps
@@exilestudios9546 The "lore" argument for multiplayer features has always been very tired, but it looks like 343i is going that way what with the academy and all that. So even if I disagree, you're right.
I didn’t really like enhanced movement all that much but I feel like a limited use pickup is a good compromise for those who did and didn’t enjoy it. It could also be custom games option that can be turned on and off.
Good news that the channel is growing. I've been following this channel for a while now and I find the videos comforting, comfy and laid back. Glad there'll be more.
I think you’re great at talking about Game Design and how it compliments fun to the player! With that being said I would KILL to see you play/review/lore dive into franchises like Resident Evil, Bioshock, Evil within , other games. I loved your arma meets halo video and maybe seeing you do a sea of thieves video would be great. Long comment short, if you explored other franchises and broke them down in the way you do I’d love to see that. I guess I’m saying if you made videos on tons of other games I’d be there and be excited.
Personally, I really miss Johnson. In fact, I wish Infinite had A.I. buddy based of him (like Cortana who is basically a clone of dr. Halsey). That'd be the greatest comeback ever seen by UNSC.
I do hope those bots can be shoved into custom games also we need the ability to spawn in enemy and allie bots in forge we could make our own custom firefight maps with waves of enemy bots or make a hectic battlefield with a bunch of enemy and ally bots perhaps use bots to do thing like open doors etc give us basic commands we can give them in forge maybe let us map out there movement so that in custom maps/forged maps they could walk around without issues so much potential (though i feel like they won’t be around for forge but maybe custom games as you basically have to do custom games to use bots so who knows
I personally love the outline change since I've been wanting for years for a similar change since I've always disliked that the games always had an emphasis on armor customization but in 90% of modes you never see it since you get overridden into red and blue
In terms of content Mr LNG, I am very fond of your Halo Evolution series as well as your person takes on Halo as a whole. Talking about you being a Russian Orthodox Christian (I believe) you have a deeper connection to forerunner designs then I have, as a Hispanic Catholic. Of course, I hope you can strike a balance to giving person takes (like the one seen here) and keeping a gap between your job and your life.
Holy shit I just thought of something. What would a fusion coil on a Razorback be good for? How about like in battlefield you can drive a vehicle full of c4 into a tank or player? Oh ya, battlefield moments in halo bois
Im still not okay with the “coatings” system. Not being able to customize your spartan’s colors freely is messed up. That being said, the battle pass being permanent is a step in the right direction. I don’t like battle passes. I don’t like micro transactions. But if this means less COD, less req packs, less kill streaks and load outs, then ugh fine.
Along with being able to pick different colors for the outlines. I hope there's a setting where you tone down the brightness and/or thickness of it because I feel like that's my biggest problem with is just how "loud" it looks.
There will be armor part that cost money but the majority of armor customisation is free and you'll need to work for it The main thing that you'll need to pay for is coating
What do I want? 343 is beyond good with Mechs, not a single bad dog in the kennel. What I want to see is a Mech that implements teamwork, you can operate it with one person, but get a couple of friends and its a beast!
Might be OT, but I totally wish we had a Halo 5 Warzone Mode, where Everyone had Access to the Same Reqs, bet that would be so much fun, and be more in line with what I thought what they were going for anyway, being moba lite.
@@LateNightHalo it could be Warzone but reimagined. the only thing it could have in common with halo 5's warzone would be that it supports 2 modes, one 12v12vAI and one 8vAI.
I'm still like 80% sure that all of the base solid colors will be available as free coatings that everyone starts with. Mixing and matching primary and secondary is probably not, but if you just want to be blue, red, or yellow, that you will be able to right away and for free.
I just hope the academy doesn't require you to be online or have Xbox live or something like that. Halo 5s forge requires Xbox live and I was kinda bummed about that since it isn't an inherently multiplayer based thing. Maybe it has to be online? I don't know, but if 343 can make it work offline or at least have an offline mode, that would be awesome
I love the enthusiasm in your voice with the delivery of each sentence, while the things you're actually saying remain grounded and reasonable, not over the top or unrealistic in any way. Plus one sub.
Highlighting spartans with red or blue outlines is something I'm not a fan of. Take a look at how Destiny identifies enemy players. It's very intuitive and I rarely ever make enemy identification mistakes. Using highlighting or making everyone either red or blue, just isn't necessary.
Making everyone have red and blue team colors was completely fine. If you’re on a team, sport the team’s colors. I do agree about the loud, glowing :/ it’s NOT what I would have done if I was designing a game that needed to show off player MTXs
@@LateNightHalo in spirit of encouraging personalization, I think it's best to not change the color to red or blue. I remember especially in Halo Reach, that I disliked that the only time people saw my custom colors was in Free For All. To each their own though :)
@@LateNightHalo I get red vs blue is a legacy thing but what’s the point of arguing about color customization if they don’t apply to normal and more populated game modes like btb and slayer. The argument “I can’t identity enemies” is a weak arguement sense games like tactical shooters don’t even have outlines or ways to identify an enemy but still somehow work. It’s kinda selfish to not want players to have a player expression and be the Spartan they want to be.
On coloration: Previously your color choices didn't actually matter the vast majority of the time because the game overrode them in all team-based modes. Now they're actually visible in the most popular modes. Disabling the outlines would make IFF impossible because everyone will be a different color. Only Spartans vs Elites could fix this. I do think choosing a premade pattern and applying your own colors would have been a good compromise, though. You could even made it separate for each armor piece like Eldewrito for maximum possible expression
Honestly, I'm just glad 343 didnt toss the baby out with the bathwater! I liked the sprinting, climbing, hitmarkers, and snappier TTK, but they went a bit overboard with the system bloat in H5. This looks like a great marriage of old and new. Also, I'm glad they added the red outline instead of RvB. 99% of of the time we're playing team games, so you never got to see your color choices anyway. I just wish they would've let us choose our colors and sold some patterns, tarnish, coatings, decals, etc instead, like Planetside 2.
Not many seem to be noticing that armors are probably gonna locked behind cores. It looks like you’ll only be able to wear helmets from halo reach, if the reach core is equipped. So you won’t be able to wear the new gen 3 armor and wear a helmet from reach, what worries me about this being true is 343 has not addressed it. Also the red outline around enemies is completely unnecessary. In the gameplay shown, team mates have a blue outline and can be seen through walls on the map so you know where they are. If an enemy player has no outline or indicator of any kind, then it’s obviously an enemy. The outline on enemies is so unnecessary. If rvb was disabled in halo 3 right now, it be easy to tell team mates from enemies because your team has blue rectangles above their heads
@@lordjeremetrius nah the legs and arms are clearly tied with the cores. Every single Spartan with a reach helmet we’ve seen so far have the reach arms and legs, and every Spartan with the new gen 3 armor, Hasn’t been seen with a reach helmet on. I’ve really been observing every Spartan and armor we’ve seen carfully
@@lordjeremetrius also if they make the outlines an option, then players who have it on, will be at an advantage over players who dont. I think they should remove enemy outlines entirely
The game FOR HONOR did the same thing concerning the outlining enemies/teammates. But they added an option to turn it off. Let's hope they do the same.
The Armor Core is Basically that, the main Core of the Armor, in other words; The techsuit, could be the Classic Gen 2 from Halo 3, the version of Reach, the techsuit from Halo 4, probably with the colores segment or full black techsuit Every techsuit has different details; H3 Techsuit is entirely clean, the Reach one looks More like cloth instead of leather, that from H4 has that point pattern, or that from H4 with the Little armor sections under the chest, or at least that's what i think
I think the solution to this outline, no red vs. blue anymore is to follow Rocket League's model of customization and have separate customization slots for 'red' and 'blue'. Not ideal obviously, and I'm not sure how other colors/coatings will fit into that. I really don't like the outline model, and it would 'hide' your customized spartan anyway.... so what's the point? The times that you would be looking at another players customized spartan would be in the intro (Halo 5 style, idk if they're gonna do that in infinite), in the game summary screen at the end, in their "Player ID/Tag" menu, or maybe when they're dead on the ground. Other than that, I feel like in a BR fight I'm not really looking at which coating they have. Honestly, just make it so that the players gamertag doesn't show up if they're on the opposing team. If you see a big green gamertag, then you know it's your teammate... or only have outlines for your teammates. This would probably fit better with the lore/technology anyway, as well as be more 'realistic' and allow for better gameplay where you aren't picking off enemies because of a giant indicator saying 'bad guys here.'
I was thinking about that last part - remember all those games of hide and seek in custom lobbies, or trying to pick out the outline of a Spartan hidden in shadow while you’re sniping from across the map? That.... well it can’t really exist anymore, and that sucks. Hopefully they’ll make these outlines a toggle option for multiplayer, and a game option for custom games.
Small gripe, but I hope they get rid of the blue electric effect on the drop pod. It just doesn’t make sense and looks like it’s there just to be flashy. A cloud of dust or rock or sparks (depending on where it landed) followed by just a more modern looking Halo 2/3 drop container would be immensely more preferred to this drop container that seems to be trying to be pushing humanity more towards Sci fantasy rather than near future military aesthetic (The Spartan armor, for example, definitely returned to a practical, reasonable near-future looking design).
Prefacin' this to say, I'm an FX artist. It was an effect that was definitely designed for sandbox reasons. It can't all be 100% diegetic. The FX artist's MO for such a job was certainly to make an unmistakable effect that draws attention and can't be conflated with anything else. If it's just a cloud of dust or sparks, that'd just be the same assets one would expect to come out of a bullet impact or a frag explosion. People have gotta be able to see something out the corner of their eye in the distance and immediately go "new weapons spawned."
@@commanderkei9537 Gotta account for everyone's playing condition! You gotta kinda assume the other departments aren't gonna hold your hand. Like, of course there's gonna be a sound, but sounds have limited attenuation. Also, some people play with their sound way down. They shouldn't but some do.
I think it was pretty plainly stated that it will. Each season will have 2 tracks: a free one and a paid one. Once you buy it it won't expire and you can go back and buy the ones you missed. Not sure if the free track will expire. Oh yeah, the first season will be completely free if I remember correctly.
13:01 I get what you're saying here. For an example of this both good and bad I'd like to point to Gears 5. On the Bad Hand we have the Terminator crossover, neither Sarah Conner or the Terminator look like they belong in Gears full stop. On the Good Hand in the Halo crossover Emile and Cat had their models redesigned from the ground up to fit within the Gears Artstyle, Emile's Gears Model in particular looks fantastic and he looks like he was born to hold a Lancer. I think this could be the way forwards. I think armors or characters from other Microsoft properties could work in Halo Infinite but only if 343 puts in the time and effort to redesign them from the ground up to fit within the Halo Artstyle.
My opinion on the Hud lines, is make them reticle based. If someone is off to the side of your screen, the outline is toned down, or even gone completely, but as your reticle pans closer to them, the outline becomes more apparent, becoming full strength when you're looking almost directly at them. As for red vs blue, I do think they should include a game variant that does include that type of mode. As for me, I'm find with the idea of coatings, as even though I'm a fan of the classics, I've always wished my spartan would show up as I have customized them, cause I really like black with some gray accents, but always had to settle for solid red or blue in most matches I played.
They never said there was stuff in the store you can buy out right. They specifically said they don't want to do that and said everything is earned through gameplay no matter if it's free or from the battle pass
at 2:05 you worded absolutely perfectly. 343 was focused on player/character innovation rather than sandbox innovation... at its core... halo is ALL about the sandbox... it defines its gameplay and makes it so different to almost every other shooter.
Honestly, to me, I like the outline system over the RvB paintjobs. It felt LESS immersive to have everyone be color-coded when within the lore these are actual skirmishes and not e-sports. Highlighting enemies seems totally viable as an AI assistant function that the SPARTAN can see through their VISR. That's just me, though.
Simple solution to the outline: instead of having outlines on enemy players, go the mcc route and have it so that you see your teammates tags through walls (though maybe use the outline on them so that their tag isn’t cramping up the screen), but you don’t see any outline on an enemy player. This way, stealth is still an option and the immersion is a bit better (even if you’re teammates are highlighted, but that could also be replaced by instead having it so that if a teammates is in your crosshairs or visible to you, they are either highlighted on your screen or your crosshair turns green, regardless of range), but still allows for armor coatings. To be honest, red vs blue was never really necessary for me. I always ended up telling friend from foe thanks to clan tags and such. If you had normal colors, like in ffa, I would probably be just fine with the tags. Hopefully there is an option to remove the outlines.
For the friend/foe outlines. If they'd have just the basic armor colors from previous games as default coatings. Then split them into similar team colors. Rocket League has Orange vs. Blue, where you can customize your paint separately for each team color. Have a "Team Colors" option where you can pick from a range of colors that match the team colors. "I want this yellow/green color if I'm red/blue. If the game mode has a green/yellow team I want this color instead if I'm blue/red. If the game has purple/[team color 6], I want etc." That way you still have some amount of control over what you look like when someone is using this theoretical color toggle.
Im colorblind and I am honestly pretty worried about the outlines because when they showed it off I couldnt really notice it. I hope they have an option to make the lines thicker so that they are more noticable.
Being someone who hated halo 4 and 5s multiplayer, I am actually very excited for halo infinites. My only concern is how the outling system will work. I feel like R V B is the best because there is no confusion about who is on your team. With infinite, we are no longer going to be able to just look at the color of the armor to define someone as friend or foe. I guess we'll just have to see how it turns out.
@@LateNightHalo They gotta make money some how I guess. But I can see the point they are making about showing off your spartan. I was always super proud of my spartan in halo reach, even though it was the cliche black and red color scheme, but i was always a little sad that not everyone could see it unless i played infection or free for all. So i guess there is a positive about the new system. I would just really like them to add a toggle to overide the outline system and return the game to R v B.
Hey Taras, you asked what kind of content we'd like to see. Personally, I really liked that "Let's Examine" series you did back when Halo 5 came out. Maybe that would be cool to make whenever Halo Infinite drops. Or maybe (if the game ends up being open world), an in-depth analysis of the new nuances in the gameplay and how its changed. Thanks for reading this and I wish you a ton of luck with your new and exciting career :)
I cannot wait for flighting so I can get my hands on as much multiplayer as I can. Also I'm gonna miss red vs blue too but I've always wanted to sport my Spartan's color outside of the menu and free-for-all. I think they should do a red and blue gamertags instead tho.
the extra vehicle damage bit reminds me of how in Reach you can destroy the turret / gun of scorpions and wraiths, that wasn't in any other halo game afaik and it's such a cool feature
Think a good idea for afterlaunch is the battle pass. But every season's battle pass should be a different halo's art style. So season one is halo 1's art style, and etcetera. This would make halo not turn into cold War and still is halo.
One thing i'd like to see in costumization of our armors for multiplayer, armor damage, i don't want my armor to look new, i want to look worn out, damaged from fights, damaged from years of wars, it'd be such a nice addition of detail that could add so much story to your costumization by itself and it's something so simple in concept, but so heavy in feeling
Something I saw that I liked ( 15:19 ) was when a bot was being shot at and you could see individual shield segments lighting up. If this is a feature it will be cool to see where my shots are landing. So you know if you’re nailing headshots or not
The pocket overshield and active camo are exciting to me because they just open up more possibilities for unique gameplay. They aren’t moving away from classic halo by making them pocket items, they’re emphasizing it more than ever before. That moment when an enemy starts pelting you with bullets, you duck behind cover, and they rush close to finish you off… totally oblivious to the fact that you just pulled out that energy sword you had in your back pocket. Imagine you’re being chased by someone with a mighty weapon like a gravity hammer or rocket launcher. You get out of their sight, use the active camouflage, and sneak around them to assassinate them. It opens up tons of creative ways to surprise your enemies and use the items when they matter most.
Really enjoyed this Taras! Feels so good to be talking about a current halo game again. Don’t worry about the delay for uploading you’ve been posting way more this last year so don’t stress on it.
Please let us grind progression and XP with the Bot mode! I’m no good at competitive PvP games but I still enjoy the repetitive skirmish-type of gameplay you get from Multiplayer games I’m sure it won’t happen, but I do know that Gears of War 4 had a Player vs Bots playlist where it reduced XP and Credits by 50%, and I still loved it
A good compromise on player outlines would be to only show outlines (or any other HUD elements like Service tags in previous games) for your teammates. That way you can tell that anyone who doesn't have an outline is an enemy provided you've spotted them in the first place.
Also, for personal AI, if you could pick anyone from OUTSIDE the Halo Franchise as your companion, who would it be? Personally speaking, I'd go for Johnny Silverhand or VEGA...
“I know I should have had this video out by now and I will make an effort to get them out sooner in the future” Personally, I quite liked that this one was later than all the others. It gives off the feeling that this is a well thought out, well crafted experience. You’re not just slapping up the gameplay and saying “oh my god” you’ve actually had time to process it. That, and by the time you’d posted this the news vids had ended so you were the only one with a new video talking about infinite that wasn’t a rehash of what they had already said during the reveal.
Am I the only one who would like to be able to put a cloak on my Spartan armor. Basically like that Halo for Xbox One trailer where Chief has a cloak. Or maybe a new armor set where it has a cloak on it maybe even just give us Chief’s Halo 4 armor with a cloak.
I was actually surprised to see so much backlash about not having red and blue armor colors for team games anymore. Even back when Halo 2 first came out I got tired of only seeing red and blue, I wanted to see the colors everyone chose for their spartan (and elites). I'm glad to see them exploring new systems, though I do hope they keep working on it cause sometimes the outlines were too bright/thick in the Infinite tech preview. A good alternative could be only showing the outlines on friendly players, so that way anytime you see a regular spartan with no outlines and no tag above their head you can assume they are an enemy.
Personally I don't mind the power-ups turning into equipment, or red vs blue going away. I also don't mind that this video was late (night gaming lol) I would watch it even after infinite released. Heck, I could see myself re-watching this video (as I have re-watched some of your others) just because it's you. I really enjoy watching your content! Please don't worry too much about uploading "on time" or anything, we are just glad to see an upload from you Lng :) Also your sponsor segments are the best I've ever seen! I would have liked the video anyway, but I had to like it at 0:43
Damn man, your sponsor bits actually rock, entertaining and informative! The echo on your voice when the screen in the command center comes back on cracked me up
Know what I just realized? That in the BTB 2.0 gameplay clips the players had full single colors of armor, there was purple, and teal that I noticed. Maybe 343 will actually remove coloration from the coatings system like players have been asking them too.
One thing I’d like to see in terms of content would be custom game nights. With the custom games browser coming soon in addition to how insane the modding scene is there’s a lot of potential on the horizon for some good times. You could stream this and also upload highlights to the channel. Additionally you could monetize it by playing with subscribers and it would also boost community engagement. Great content as always, keep it up!
I am still personally ok with coatings and can see how in certain cases it'll bring cool patterns and stuff you can apply anywhere that we wouldn't have been able to get before while also allowing the devs to monetize it. Since it's free to pay we gotta find a compromise (allow great player expression while letting devs monetize stuff) and I think the devs did an ok a job doing this. Though I really hope the enemy outlines can be thickened a bit cuz knowing me I may end up noticing the outlines a bit too late at times. Maybe a red health bar that only appears on top of enemies would be better? Idk. The radar could end up being enough to make up for it.
I love that you kept the part with you cracking up at the bots in, made my day! Are you going to play around with reshade more in the halo games? I found those to be very fun and cool to watch
I think that a good idea for a video series would be on your own personal opinions and attachments to Halo characters (The Arbiter, Miranda Keyes, etc.). There’s a lot of cool characters in Halo and a lot can be said about them !
I personally want the armor coatings to be a pattern, where the player can chose the color like in older games, but the coatings will add some extra to make it so you choose where the primary or secondary colors are, or maybe adding cool designs like skulls or weapons (etc...) that fit in the primary or secondary colors, I feel like it would still be just as effective and better received

Yeah i thought this since the beginning. It's the only way to make majority of the players happy
It should be, but they might see it as hurting there skin/coatings stuff

I agree the only way it could lose it is because of promotions

Halo 5 had primarily and secondary colors it just didn't go too crazy with the type of paint
I agree..... But then how would they get their money from the free to play multiplayer???

I'm just still hoping for Playable Elites to return at some point post launch.

9:28 I don't understand why they don't let players change the primary, secondary and tertiary colours of the developer made colour configurations
Let's hope they do the same.
The Armor Core is Basically that, the main Core of the Armor, in other words; The techsuit, could be the Classic Gen 2 from Halo 3, the version of Reach, the techsuit from Halo 4, probably with the colores segment or full black techsuit

@@TheDevilDucker it’s not the tech suit tho. It’s clearly the arms and legs. The chest is also a separate core
Hi
Hello there
Small gripe, but I hope they get rid of the blue electric effect on the drop pod.
@@xalener does the big light and the noise of something crashing down from orbit do that?
Good point though, appreciate your insight
@@commanderkei9537 Gotta account for everyone's playing condition! You gotta kinda assume the other departments aren't gonna hold your hand. Like, of course there's gonna be a sound, but sounds have limited attenuation. Also, some people play with their sound way down. They shouldn't but some do.
I just hope the multiplayer doesn’t have “seasons” like all the other new shooters
They’ve been very clear that it does.
I think it was pretty plainly stated that it will. Each season will have 2 tracks: a free one and a paid one. Once you buy it it won't expire and you can go back and buy the ones you missed. Not sure if the free track will expire. Oh yeah, the first season will be completely free if I remember correctly.
Man
@@mattni2026 Aight
At least it doesn’t expire
We can all agree that switching seats in a Vehicle was Pretty dope, I think it's one of the very little things I want in halo infinite that was from 5
My opinion on the Hud lines, is make them reticle based.
Awesome vid LNG I’m so happy your getting consistent sponsorships now. It really makes me excited for the future of your channel
I guess we'll just have to see how it turns out.
yeah, it doesnt help that its in service of... Microtransactions :/ RVB was removed so we can be better walking advertisements for the MTX shop
I’m no good at competitive PvP games but I still enjoy the repetitive skirmish-type of gameplay you get from Multiplayer games
I’m sure it won’t happen, but I do know that Gears of War 4 had a Player vs Bots playlist where it reduced XP and Credits by 50%, and I still loved it
A good compromise on player outlines would be to only show outlines (or any other HUD elements like Service tags in previous games) for your teammates.
The smash announcer
TARS from Interstellar
I would go for the EVAs from command and conquer red alert 2
“I know I should have had this video out by now and I will make an effort to get them out sooner in the future”
Personally, I quite liked that this one was later than all the others.
Halo's HUD never took me out of the experience because it's in-universe. It's projected on the Spartan's visor.
Please don't worry too much about uploading "on time" or anything, we are just glad to see an upload from you Lng :)
Also your sponsor segments are the best I've ever seen!
I'd love to see an Evolution video for Chief's armor. Halo CE to present, with every visual representation possible. Movies, animations, etc.
