The fact that this is happening at a time when both the Cantina menu and the Decades menu are happening, 2024 will actually show up HEALTHIER in terms of menu size is great
BK burgers are about the same price as wendy's and not nearly as good, so i rarely go to BK and only do it when i want some shockingly cheap chicken nuggets other than mcdonald's
Never eaten there, we just open a tin of refried beans, warm on hob and pop a couple of taco shells in the microwave to warm then coat in grated cheese. Takes literally 5 minutes to prepare.
I've stopped going to Taco Bell here (UK). The portions have become absolutely tiny, with hardly any filling, yet the prices have gone up considerably 😒
14:18 We do now have Cheezits in the UK tbf. Noted them launch earlier this year in a couple of supermarkets near me. Can't say I found the one I brought super amazing though
The US also has the Cantina Chicken Bowl, which comes with the verde packet. I personally like that a lot and I have to agree that when they added that chicken onto the menu it made things a lot better.
6:25 Tortilla, can recommend. Those are pretty good and quite widely available. There used to be a burrito place called Benito's Hat which was my favourite but that went bust during covid so isn't as big a thing now
@@conormurphy9284 They only have 4 and the nearest one is in Birmingham. Which, tbf, I go to now and again so maybe it should be on my list for my next swing round there
13:41 we have Cheez-Its in the UK now but as their Snap'd crisps, have done for a few months, i love them, they come in Chilli Cheese, Double Cheese and Sour Cream and Chive & Cheese
The party size was available nationwide in the UK just 2 years ago but has since gone missing from the menu besides a couple of places. I know it's still on the menu in one of their Hull locations as well as their Cleethorpes one. But even when it was on the menu back in 2020, Harry missed it off then anyways so guess it doesn't really matter. Also, at least at my local Taco bell the drinks either come in regular or large.
I agree about the pricing it has gotten so ridiculous what it cost to get fast food a few years ago versus now is unacceptable. I’d rather go to a sitdown restaurant at this point
Them old vids so funny Harry hardly showed any personality but you can see how much he got comfortable and now is very animated with his tone while speaking
Taco Bell is actually the best fast food restaurant for vegetarian options as you can order anything with Beans instead of Beef and enjoy any menu item!
I think in regards to the bottle of Pepsi comparison, whilst statistically it is correct, the average person doesn't order a 1.5L of pepsi and drink it in one. Whilst the Baha blast drink is intended to be consumed in one sitting (as a drink option). This is one reason our drinks are smaller from fast food chains, the sugar based drinks are smaller quantity so you don't consume so much sugar. Though most drinks are now sugar free with the notable exceptions being pepsi regular and coke regular, but most places have fanta or tango which is sugar free.
It would be interesting to find out the differences between Canadian, British, and American Fast Food Chains. Sometimes, they seem to lean towards one country or the other, but there is never a direct comparison of either country.
That’s so freaking true Harry does have a fantastic voice for the weather forecast! 👏 🤣 Anyhow, it sucks that the prices have gone up that much in just four years…. Great commentary as usual guys! 🌮 🌯 👏 😋
Chess double beef Is the beefy melts replacement. It's made almost the exact same way. A lot of the exclusive UK items are on us items. The crispy chicken taco and burrito were limited time items in the us.
The taco bell breakfast is my favorite fast food breakfast! In my area all my taco bells removed the breakfast options and as a pregnant woman I greatly mourn the loss 😢
I've noticed the price increase since 2020 and it's insane. My standard order has jumped up by at least $20 or more for the same order/amount of food it's crazy. Now, it costs me just about the same if not more as going to a "more expensive" place.
Regarding your drink measurments, yall forgot that ice takes up space and doesn't fill up the measuring cup. If you were to fill up with only drink no ice it would likely be closer to the marketed amount.
I don't go to taco bell anymore. Too expensive for what you get. 6 dollars for a burrito supreme is ridiculous when I can get a burrito at a restuarant for 10 bucks thats literally 5 or 6 times more food and far better quality.
i've started making my own tortillas at home fresh and just meal prepping my own fixings for tacos, burritos, or whatever i want. by the time you spend 15 dollars at taco bell you could take that money and use it to buy fresh ingredients and make multiple of whatever you get at taco bell. not to mention it's healthier to make it yourself.
Live in Canada. Saturday last went to a non-chain burger joint. Purchased one cheeseburger, one order of chips, no drink for take-out. Cost over $15.00. Now back in 1976 you could get a cheeseburger at McDonalds for 25 cents. Getting expensive!!!
Our local Taco Bells are out of control with their price increases. The two we have are owned by the same folks. They've lost customers because of the prices ($2.19 for a regular taco, for example). Considering how small our town is, and the other options we have, I don't believe many would miss Taco Bell should they close.
Taco Bell failed completely in the 80s here in the UK. I can only think of a couple of branches at that time here in London, one in the West End between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, and one in Earls Court. There could have been others, but not many. They weren't around for long. I was aware of them in the 80s as my cousin had taken me to Taco Bell a number of times when I went to visit family in North Carolina, but they were pretty much unknown here. But I'm thinking that social media has raised their profile here now, so they're trying again. I tried one a few years ago for nostalgia purposes, and it was awful! Everything has a weird waxy taste to it!
Well, because of this series I buy small fries from Burger King instead of medium fries now since they are the same sizes so thank you business insider lol
Taco bell is expensive for single items the crunch wrap is 6.19. You get the Crunch wrap in one of there online meals and pay 6.99 for that + another taco + side + drink
I tried the Baja Blast about a month ago and to me it tasted like a melon flavoured Sprite. It wasn't the best drink ever but it wasn't terrible either.
I highly recommend the Taco Bell episode of The Foods That Built America on History Channel. It was founded by a white guy who thought real Mexican style tacos were too spicy. The original taco was basically a cheeseburger in a tortilla. Also, the founders of both Del Taco and Wienerschnitzel worked at the original Taco Bell location.
Must admit, we tend not to eat takeaway and at restaurants as much now, prices just got ridiculous. The comment about revenue though, how is a 7% increase in revenue to be applauded when prices have gone up by more?! It’s sales numbers that matter, and those will be down, but there’s lies, lies and statistics. It’s like when they say the next big move is the biggest grossing ever! Yeah, when tickets cost what they do, of course revenue is higher - doesn’t mean actual ticket sales are higher in terms of number!
You should compare Shah's Halal Truck in NYC with Shah's Halal in London. You've done Halal Guys before but they're a franchise that's oversaturated in media.
For a nice burrito in central London go to Daddy Donkey's in Leather Lane which is near Farringdon Station, good size and decent food a bit more pricey than Taco Bell but worth it.
Prices also vary a lot by location since franchises can set their own. I like the Doritos Locos Taco, it’s not really worth the extra ~$1. I also miss the Fiery one they used to have. :-( Another bad thing is that the shells get soggy much quicker, if you’re getting it to-go/delivery. The item I really miss from a few decades ago is the value menu Chili Cheese Burrito.
Getting rid of the Nachos Bell Grande is a benefit. UK needs Del Taco, they actually do nachos right. To make Taco Bell Nachos edible you have to spend over ten dollars.
As Billy Connolly once said, the only difference between all those items is how they're folded.. .... 🤣🤣

Ready for Jet Lag season 12?
Arsenal?
Love these comparisons from 2020 to now I think Burger King should be next on the list since it’s mainly gotten a tad bit expensive in the Uk
BK in the US, has three new whoppers
A tad? You need to take out a small loan before you can order at BK thesedays. Five Guys, banks can't afford the loan.
Burger king has always been a once/twice a year treat.. even when it was £4 for a bigmac burger king was £8/9 quid
BK burgers are about the same price as wendy's and not nearly as good, so i rarely go to BK and only do it when i want some shockingly cheap chicken nuggets other than mcdonald's
lets be fair guys, you can afford a warm food holder so your food isnt cold when you film it.
Joe, we aint in the EU anymore, speak to Taco Bell and bring those US exclusives over here.
On it
We still have the same food regulations as EU and to be fair, they ban certain additives for good reason.
They ban stuff for a reason
We ban additives because they cause an increase in hyperactivity among other things.
@@Abi-Grey8 hyperactivity is a good thing
The Street Chalupas Taco Bell had a while ago alongside their Cantina menu was probably my favorite item from there for a while.
They sell cheez-its in the UK now too, not even in like specialty stores, just in normal supermarkets. They have been advertising all over youtube.
Taco Bell in the uk is maybe the biggest offender of “I could make this at home better for half the price” in fast food
Never eaten there, we just open a tin of refried beans, warm on hob and pop a couple of taco shells in the microwave to warm then coat in grated cheese. Takes literally 5 minutes to prepare.

Agreed. The flavour is too mild
