Great video!!! I couldn’t help but chuckle when you mentioned one’s curls reclumping after separating them. I can separate until the cows come home and those separated curls find each other snuggle up. Like newborn puppies. Drives me crazy but makes me laugh too😂
Omg! This helped me so much! Thank you. I have thinning hair and I did some serious damage to my hair last summer. It’s still recovering from that. Plus it changed the curl pattern again. Now it’s wavy and frizzy. I have no idea why this happened but the right side of my head got very frizzy and stringy. Time for a trim. It’s going to take practice. One more thing. Could you show how to style and check on the back of the head? It’s so overlooked by me and half the time I don’t know what I’m doing or how to hold my mirror so I can actually see the back of my head.
I'm in the UK so it's great to see you use products that are available here! I love the umberto giannini shampoo, conditioner and gel. I've fine, low density hair so I must try the mousse as I do prefer to get more volume!
Would love to see mousse comparison video. Some that I am interested in would be the Umberto one from today, new Curlsmith Vol. mousse, Tre Luxe Soothe and Restore and Mirabel Va va volume mouse.
My Ouidad gel is coming on Friday. I can't wait to try it.Wish me luck, my cast is never as hard as I want. Love your video, keep them coming. On a side note have you tried Native shampoo and conditioner?
Nice results. I used these products (the mousse and jellly) last with a good result, however it started to flake after 2 days. Any idea how i can fix the problem?
Hm that is odd because they have never resulted in flakes for me. Usually this is due to products not being compatible, such as using a conditioner or other stylers from other brands that don't mix with your stylers, or having buildup on your hair. Did you use a different conditioner, leave-in, refresher, or anything else on your hair?
Gorgeous results! 😍 I have an unrelated question... Can you use the Curlsmith Bond Curl Rehab Salve and rinse it out without shampooing and conditioning after? I washed my hair yesterday and want to use the treatment today, but don't really need to wash again. Thanks!
Thank you! No, you want to always shampoo and condition after so it doesn't damage your hair by leaving it in. You don't need to shampoo prior to using it either.
I have very curly hair, probably curlier than yours, but not as curly as type 4. And I've been smoothing it over rollers for years. It's kind of a painful process. That said, if I were to just leave it "naturally curly", wouldn't that mean natural tangles? I see curly "wash and go" styles all the time, but seriously, doesn't good-looking curly hair (that shouldn't be brushed, for one thing) also mean you have to let your tangles go and do nothing about them?
Not when it comes to clumping, but the ideal temp is warm water for washing so you don't damage them with hot water, and cold water will not cleanse as well or rinse out the conditioner fully. Warm is ideal
I mentioned why in the video 😊 I said how I wanted to try this method (replacing cream with mousse) to give people a more lightweight option for maximum volume. You could totally use a cream instead of a mousse, then top with Curl Jelly.

Absolutely LOVING how defined your curls are! 😍
Please, a mousse comparison video!!❤
Noticed you wearing “towel wristbands” - what a great idea….i hate feeling water dripping down my arms.
Me too! Here’s the link if you’re interested: amzlink.to/az0nZwMJtOY9V
Would love to see a mousse comparison!!
Excellent as always!
I really don’t know how you do it.
Many thanks.
I haven't used the Jelly in a while, but as a lazy refresher sometimes I reach for it's sister spray.
Beautiful results!

Yes 😂 it’s a sign of healthy curls tho lol

@@GenaMarie Okay, thanks!
Ugh, UA-cam didn't notify me of this video! Your hair came out gorgeous!
Thank you!
nice results!
I am new to curly hair, discovered my curls 2/24. Is there a rule of thumb for how often you should get a haircut?
Not a set time, but I try and get one every 2-3 months for a small trim

Could you add the mouse after the gel?
Does water temp matter??

Thank you! 😁 I'm finding your videos so helpful! Just beginning discovering what curls I have and how to manage the frizz!
Just wondering, but why didnt you use the curl cream instead of the mousse with the gel?

Stunning 😍. What would happen if u only used the gel?
@@GenaMarie so sorry! I missed that!🙈
