  • I share my tips and system I used to go from starting at zero to over 200 five star reviews for my detailing business in just one year!
    I believe that having my google business page completely dialed in and getting my customers to write glowing 5 star reviews on a continuous consistent basis is one of the major factors that helped me outrank my competitors in my area as well as increase my monthly average revenue from just a few thousand dollars per month to now averaging over 12K per month consistently.

    I agree with your deposit perspective.

    • @topstardetailing
      @topstardetailing  19 днів тому +1

      @@ExtractionsMD it’s all about communication and building relationships with your customers… deposits basically mean I don’t trust you as a customer and I’m worried you’ll cancel on me. It’s very rare that someone cancels and usually it’s they just need to reschedule for another time… and if they need to cancel then they need to cancel, it’s really not that big of a deal. You can still find a way to use that time productively for your business.

    Hey Jeff, fellow detailer out of LA. Love the information in your wash and talks. Would be super curious to see a breakdown of which CRM you use, how you take payments, and maybe how you manage all of your customers. I feel like that’s not covered as heavily in the industry. Would definitely help me and I’m sure a lot of other people as well. Keep it up man!

      I got the sleeves on Amazon… they’re a must have working in the sun all day long. They’re called SportsTrail Cooling Arm Sleeves… they are like $11 a pair and one size fits all. The other multi colored ones I got are like twice as expensive and don’t fit that great 🙃

    I with you on the not taking deposits and I do the same I send out a confirmation text the day before and if then don't respond by the next morning I'll message 1 more time if they don't respond still, then I cancel them and move on.

    • @topstardetailing
      @topstardetailing  12 днів тому

      That's pretty much what I do as well... If they are regular clients then it's not usually an issue, but new clients I always send a confirmation the night before that requires a response...end it with a ? Like hey it's Jeff just a quick reminder of your 9am appointment for tomorrow we're still on correct? If they don't respond then I will either call or send them another text letting them know that if I don't hear back from them by a certain time I will need to open their spot up to another client.
      Appreciate your feedback! Thank You

  • @TouchstoneMPWD

    Same here, I send the review link same day for new clients. And if they're returning clients sometimes I'll bring it up again. But I like to try to make my clients feel like a friendship because some of my clients are older and retired so some of them don't really see ppl so I'll have conversations with them. I think a couple I've spent 15 minutes before and after just talking. I'm big on customer service and want them to feel valued and appreciated

    • @topstardetailing
      @topstardetailing  17 днів тому +2

      @@TouchstoneMPWD I agree… I genuinely enjoy talking to and getting to know my customers… it’s not some type of sales strategy etc… I enjoy building relationships with people and it makes the process much more enjoyable for both you and the customer.
      That’s why Im against these detailers selling courses and saying just offer people a discount and watch your amount of reviews skyrocket… it not only cheapens the experience, but for new detailers they don’t develop the necessary skill set to actually learn how to build relationships with customers.
      It’s like studying to be a doctor and cheating on the test, yes it will be faster and easier and you will pass, but what happens when it’s time to go perform surgery and you have no idea what you’re doing?
      The reviews are not for just doing a good detail… it’s about the entire customer experience from start to finish and the relationships you build along the way that will make them a loyal customer vs just going with whoever is going to give them the next discount.
      Glad you understand and share the same view on it. Cheers my friend :))

      @@topstardetailing yes sir, I've seen videos where they have said on the spot send them the link and off $10 off to leave a 5⭐ review. To me that's like trying to buy the review. I've got like 55, 5⭐s and nothing less than 5⭐ 🙏🏻. I've detailed hundreds of vehicles but some ppl don't do reviews. I've had several that don't leave reviews but they've followed me on Facebook and have seen their vehicle and shared it or they tell ppl about me and I get the referral clients. Yes the reviews help, but they're not everything..
      Keep up the good work and continue to stay humble 💯

      @@topstardetailing I’m in Salem, OR. I only sell full details for the most part and do 1-2 cars per day, depending on my maintenance list or if someone calls for a wash. I do have some Saturday help when needed but I’m definitely going to go into next season with full time help. Before this year it was always 7-10 days to get someone in, but being at the top of google led to much more business than expected. Im one of the very few locally who provide power and water with the service so it’s definitely given an edge over the competition.

    I subscribed to your channel - I agree with your asking on reviews. I will ask 2x's. Once or twice via email automatic (or once email and once text with a link).

    • @topstardetailing
      @topstardetailing  17 днів тому

      @@lakestevensautodetailing thank you 🙏 I really appreciate the support on the channel. For best results on the reviews what I’ve learned is ask them in person first when you are face to face and they will always say yes at that moment… you’re not asking them to do it right there on the spot, but you’re getting permission to send them your review link later that day (no later than 24 hours)They have already said yes you can send it and I will leave you a review… that first step is very important and will improve your odds….Whether they will actually follow through or not you have no control over, but you can increase your chances by sending it via text not email and sending it with a personalized message specific to them not a spammy cut n paste message that comes across as insincere.
      It’s not necessarily how many times you ask, but rather how you ask that is more important.
      Practice your review pitch in the mirror… get really comfortable with what you’re saying and how you say it… the more times you do it the more comfortable you will be and you will see your closing percentage go up significantly.
      I can’t stress the importance of this enough, but there is nothing that will give you a greater return on your investment of time than getting this one thing dialed in.
