Hey Jeff, honestly I woke up this morning and wanted to throw in the towel on detailing. I’ve spent a ton of money on this and haven’t had much luck with getting clients. Really discouraged with my decision and trying to keep this thing rolling. I have a new breath of fresh air after watching your video. Also I heard you say you were looking to hire. Been watching your videos and it’s crazy impressive that you have that much business and are that busy with only a year under your belt. I really like your advice as well. Is there a lot of competition for you? Are a lot of clients word of mouth or mostly just google ? I’m at 87 Five stars and getting about 7-8 calls a week.
You have to consider that I have been working 84-90 hours a week either in or on my business consistently... so essentially I have got 2 years worth of work experience compressed into what most people do in one year. I get alot of clients word of mouth, but most from google... I'm top rated in Vegas with over 230 five star reviews now. The most important thing you can do to succeed is build a strong winning brand... if you learn how to do this the customers will come to you instead of you chasing them. When your really good at branding you don't have to focus as much on being good at selling. What you like me to do a more in depth video on this topic?

@@ryanalfred3497 I have one coming with me talking live with a customer, been trying to capture more live calls to make a whole video of just that but it’s really difficult because most of the time I don’t have someone else there with filming on a daily basis. Any suggestions for recording myself on calls?

Hey man i appreciate your videos and im curious if you charge your customer before the detail or after the detail and what software do you use for payments?
Thank You! I only take payment after the service has been completed and I have established that they are 100% satisfied with the results (never before). I accept all Credit Cards (Bank of America payment processor/card reader) and all of the payment apps Zelle, Venmo, Applepay, Cashapp, PayPal... and of course my favorite is always going to be CASH ;)
Yeses sir, watched all your videos and will still continue watching you. I have a difficult situation as I really wanna go full out on detailing but I am also in college still, and it's really hard to balance both of without dragging the other, what do you suggest I do, as I can't progress fully and grow without depleting the other
I hear you my brother... I would encourage you to Flip your mindset from thinking of being in a difficult situation to thinking about being in college as way to sharpen your skill set...I'm not talking about being good at detailing cars, but all the other skills you will need to be successful... time management, be comfortable talking and interacting with people, sales and marketing, customer service, computer skills, accounting skills... and all the other hats you will need to wear as a business owner. Being a good detailer does not always equate to be a successful business owner. Use this time as an opportunity to make a detailed solid business that you can implement when you're ready. You're young and time is on your side... so just try to be patient.

@@topstardetailing If you go to a restaurant and order food, the waiter takes your order and tells you to come back in a week, you will go elsewhere and not come back. People want things done now and not in a week or 2. No matter if you have 20 star review they will go somewhere else. Remember with reviews people dont always believe the 5 star review these days because of companies like Amazon Ali express and so on that paid for good reviews. I learnt all this the hard way and after fixing all that i was able to keep my detailing shop going and opened 2 mechanical workshops 5 years ago with all 3 shops still in business. Find other ways to get new clients because when Google stops working then what you going to do? Have a plan B,C and even D because it's 2024 and things can change over night and leave you stranded.
