藺編在苑裡已有百年歷史，職人賴秋妹七、八歲就跟著母親做藺草編織，隨著年紀以及市場需求，一路不斷提昇技藝，到六、七十歲時還在社區學習新的編花技巧。她現年八十四歲，很開心跟藺編相伴一輩子。
Bulrush weaving has a history of hundreds of years in Yuanli Township. Craftsman Chiu-Mei Lai started weaving bulrush with her mother when she was seven or eight years old. As she grew older and the market demand changed, she continued to improve her skills, and even in her sixties and seventies, she was still learning new weaving techniques in the community.
