i just ended my free trial for supernatural today so i was looking for an app and i found this video right now lol....and you just released it lol
I absolutely love that you can load your own music into this...for that alone it's a winner for me. Thank you so much for opening my eyes to this as I've been using FitXR and find it wanting in many ways, and Supernatural is not available outside of the U.S. The customisation of your music is out of this world, even to the extent that you can create your own maps!!!! Mind-blowing stuff! My first song to load was Princes of the Universe by Queen (from Highlander) which is a pretty hard one for any AI to parse, but it did it beautifully. Can't recommend this enough.

I love Power Beats and have been talking about it on the various Oculus Groups in an effort to get more people to try it. I really like being able to add songs I enjoy, having this game app auto generate workout for my added songs, being able to edit the generated workouts so that I can have as many punches, squats or streams I want plus, being able to do back to back workouts without a break between in endurance mode. It’s amazing.

Powerbeats VR is a great exercise app!
But I noticed you didn't mention the editor. Once you choose a custom song, allow the AI to map that song, then you can go in and tweak it. You can add those strikes for the moment the music is epic. Or move them so that they're closer to the beat you desire.
That level of customization makes this app the best for exercise.
And if you have suggestions the developers are very supportive and listen.

I wish there was a demo on this one to check it out. I am currently on the 7-day trial on Supernatural and finding it good however still thinking on the subscription. Power Beats VR might be a good option in the long run. Thanks for sharing.

Buy Power Beats VR and next month get the Supernatural.
There is a 2023 demo. Would never have even looked twice if it didn't.

Powerbeats VR and X-booster are my go to workout apps. The music that comes with both these games are not that great but with built in composers you'll never get bored.
Is Powerbeats about the same as X-Fitness (X-Booster)?

It needs a better custom map support and an easier way to make them, the rest is good, but until there is no more custom maps, there is not that much that you can't do in other games like Audio Trip, that has custom map support and a lot of very good cardio maps for those who want some workout.

How does the custom song generator in power beats vr compare with x-fitness custom song generator? I was leaning toward getting x-fitness.

Finally a work-out app with custom ability. The only problem I like those high energy DJ mixes that are over an hour long. eek.
This is intriguing BUT...how do i upload/add my music to this thing? Everything I've see says you can upload your own playlist but I cannot find out HOW to do so. Help please?
What’s the difference that makes this a workout app compared to beat saber or synth riders? I heard you mention it has an emphasis on “workout exercise type repetitive movements”. But you can do those same things playing beat saber right?
Don’t get me wrong, this app looks amazing and I will definitely be getting it to add to my existing rhythm collection of beat saber, synth riders, and my favorite Smash Drums! I just wanted to know how this stands out as a workout app for you?
Great question! What I means was that the movements in Power Beats VR seem to be designed in a way that would promote repetitive muscle work, like for example, here - 5:17 - you can see how it's focusing on squats and alternating punching hands. You can't find mapping like this in Beat Saber or Synth Riders because the blocks and walls positions in those apps are purely aesthetic :) and then of course, the app has integrated metrics, punch strength, calorie count, etc that makes it easy to monitor your progress :) I hope this answers your question!

Could you please do a step by step video on how to use custom music and create your own maps? I know you show how in this video but, well... for instance I did what you said about the music but my music files aren’t showing up. Maybe I’m putting them in the wrong place. I don’t even see where you’re selecting to open the part where you create the maps. It would be very helpful if you did a step by step video on just adding custom music. Thanks.

@@DiscoVRTetiana I tried to join your Discord but it says at the top that this is an unclaimed account. Claim it before it is lost. I click on "Claim" and I need to enter my email address and a password. I don't remember any password. So I made one up, but it rejects me.
Played for the first time last night (SteamVR / Black Friday sale). I immediately noticed that the timing is off. You hit the balls before the beat. That got old, fast. I haven't seen anyone show footage of them punching on the beat. If you do, the balls either fly past, or flop down, like you barely registered a hit.
I definitely sweat a bit, but something felt off. Also I noticed the obstacles "ramp up" when they're closest to you. Speed-wise, I mean. They don't evenly fly, like Supernatural. It's like "steady steady steady... ZOOOOMRIGHTPAST" kind of thing. It was weird.
Custom songs/playlists... yes. Absolutely a win. But, Synth Riders can do this, too. And Synth Riders is GORGEOUS. It has a punching mode as well.
Not sure about this game, yet. It has a lot of potential but it's not quite there. Also, we need more levels/areas. The 4 get old, fast.
More stuff I noticed: Beginner: TOO EASY and spaced-out. Advanced: annoyingly confusing and a LOT harder. Expert: utterly impossible Ridiculously impossible. The spiked balls show up with the regular balls, like in the same area. How do you smash the regular balls WHILE AVOIDING the spiked ones? Makes no sense, map-wise.
Just wondering if anyone else out there experiences the beatmaps not quite lining up.... I'm on a Quest 2, Virtual Desktop. Solid connection, low latency, good graphics. Can't understand why it felt so "off."
it seems with this game you can add any of your own music and it maps it for you, can Synth Riders do that?
I am almost 68 and I bought this game. I like how you can adjust the difficulty way, way down for someone like me. If I can figure out how to add my songs, it will be even better. I chose this game because I didn't want one with a subscription and it looked good in the review. I am very new to VR and have only played PowerBeats once, but I enjoyed it.

I am so excited about this new game! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will happily pay $23 for this. I am so glad that it is not subscription based! That is the only reason I have not purchased any of the other fitness games for the quest. I am also very excited about the custom songs option!
These wer exactly my thoughts when I found this app! It's not perfect, but for everything it offers for a flat price of $23, this is pretty amazing!

Yeah subscriptions suck! Just have to hope they don't change it to subscription later on like BoxVR / FitXR.
This one has much longer squat segments, my legs are dead lol. Not like in beat saber where you can just duck for a second and go back to using arms.

it says the app is still in development stage. I wonder if it will go over to subscription just like fitrx did.
They say it will never go to subscription.
I loaded the custom songs to my headset, but for some reason the app doesn't pick them up or recognize them. You have to log in through the developers website for support, but I don't see a way to even register. The customization was one of the main reasons I wanted this app. Has anyone else had the same problem?
are your music files in the mp3 format or a different format?

What is the maximum length of a custom song you can import?
I'm not sure :/ but I don't see why there should be a limit to a song's length. I haven't encountered any issues with songs 4-6 min in length

How do I upload without having a computer?
In your VR headset, open browser and type in applab.games. On that website, search for PowerBeatsVR and you'll be able to get it directly from your headset
What strap do you have on the video?
In this one I still use a classic halo strap (amzn.to/3HL89m4) but now I actually switched to bobovrm2 pro :) amzn.to/3DLKT4V

I have this on Steam and I liked it but didn't like being tethered to the PC.. I would buy it again just to have it on an untethered device like the Quest2.

@@melisajackson93 if you're having trouble getting your own MP3s/music on the headset, I figured out I can place music on my Gmail drive from my computer, then download it while on my headset from signing into that same google account.
