All in all, you guys had a nice day. I loved the little 'wee-who'! (and by the way, I live in Boynton and no way would I have kept that. I'd let it go like you did). I once caught a 5" dolphin that ate a 6" spoon! I can't remember laughing so hard! Those little guys are bad asses! I think now that we can refer to Ryan as 'The Bird Whisperer'! He earned that one! Hey Adam, have you thought about rigging a bait on a circle hook specifically for the Bouy Rod? It might be worth a try.
Congrats on your first sword in the new boat!
Never ever reel your slack buoy rod in before you even have half of your tip rods line in. Lost a very nice fish because of that one time.
You can leave your buoy slack as long as you want, the angle of the hook won’t change till you get tight on the fish that’s when you will either make or break the fish on the buoy.
1600 is to deep.. try around the corner.. to Rosie's or walkers.. you know.
