i'm just learning obs for live streaming and have watched a number of videos... your videos really give me directly the steps to take and i really don't understand your lack of views... that should be 60 thousand, not 600.
This made my day. Really appreciate the kind words but man... I wish I knew. Some things are hits, others are a miss. It's up to the UA-cam gods to help. Haha With that said, I've posted less lately and am trying to come up with more ideas! Hopefully will have a bunch more videos soon! Thanks again duder. Let me know if there's anything I can help with!
totally understand... i put up two videos of demolition derbies, same venue, 4 days apart... one has 19,000 views, the other less than 400... lol @@Activater
Aye Activator I'm sure you've gotten this question a lot, but I want to ask this again because sometimes people change their set up over time. What kind of camera do you use, and what attachments (lens, etc) do you have with it as well? Another question is, you mentioned that you use this spray on your lens to give a soft kind of look on your lights, what spray is that?
Sony A7s (Mark 1) Lens: Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 (EF mount) (I'm zoomed to like 25 or 28mm as my cam is closer than it used to be) Metabones lens adapter EF to E mount since Sony cams are e mount. Spray was "fog in a can" but you could get a pro-mist filter to get the same glow type look. However, I have stopped using that as I swapped from the lens that had the spray on it, to the Sigma lens. (Also, I don't recommend spraying your lens unless you have a clear filter on it. You don't want moisture in your lens) I use my camera on a motorized slider as well still but rarely for UA-cam now. 1080p 60fps ISO 250 F-stop is 1.8 (Fyi, old lens was a Rokinon 35mm f1.4. I still have it, but needed to go wider so I got this Sigma. This new sigma isn't really meant for full frame so I have to zoom into about 24mm or more so I don't have crazy vignetting. However, you can set the camera to APS-C mode and it'll work fine too)
The last video was using a large wide canvas for editing purposes. For this video, it's just a 16:9 canvas. I think I think I did this as 1920x1080. However, you could always make your canvas higher resolution and then if (when streaming) you need to, you can send out a 1080p stream using "rescale output" in the Output -> Streaming tab of OBS settings.

What about the vertical plugin? You can use that to stream and record at the same time
Never used it! I'll look into it!
@Activater It's a free OBS plug-in but basically you could stream horizontally and vertically with it and be able to record too
Average Activater enjoyer 🥂🗿
Are you still using the same resolution from the last video?
