I like the humility. Some people out there just go 'do this and that!' Or ' don't do this and that!' But you simply go 'here are my tips, but you do what's best for you'.
Fishing is always the main thing I focus on at the start of the game, it's really nice, easy, early money. (I'm also a massive sucker for any fishing minigame)
Some Extra Tips: Try to Keep one of every crop you can grow. It helps with quest later on, especially ones that you get late in a month when you can't grow it in time. Do quest when possible, they pay a extra value and it gives friendship. When playing with online the beds can be laid (stood) in to restore energy. You don't even need to sleep (in fact don't because if everyone does it ends the day). There is no shame using the wiki's. People have collected the data so other can knkw where the villagers are at any time, what they like, and any special events with them. (Like what day they go to the doctor.) Also info on when you can get any items. Remember peiers shop is closed on Wednesdays The spring foragable flower is a universal like (excluding clint), so they make great gifts. It is possible to ask people to the spring dance year 1, you just need 5 hearts. The best way is to target a person with a birthday before the dance. I beleive I have personally had Haley and Shane at 5 hearts before the dance before. Final Tip, get two two hearts with Marnie for a quest that comes fairly early on from the Mayor.
You get energy in bed in single player, you can either just select no when it asks if you want to sleep, or be good enough to not have the text box trigger while still restoring energy
The text box you have added for your commentary is honestly an 11/10 idea and execution. Looks awesome and fits in seamlessly. It is a little small though, which makes it a little hard to read
I started yesterday and I SWEAR I SAW THE TUTORIAL/INTRO but I still managed to think the chest next to the mailbox was just MY chest and I apparently sold everything 😂
What has helped me as a beginner is upgrading my watering can in the winter because I couldn’t plant anything. My pet was without water for a couple days but he’s still alive and well :)
Thank you for this guide. I was overwhelmed so I haven't touched the game again. But now, I feel like it's okay to discover what works for me. Thank you ♡
Great video! I just bought Stardew in the search for a relaxing laid back game, and these tips will definitely help to calm the part of my brain that yells at me constantly to figure out how to be more efficient. I also really enjoy your voice and manner of speaking, it kinda suits the chill vibe Stardew has. Would love to see more longform videos in the future
@@JunimoB this video is not for begginers, its for people already knowing how to play the game! Dosnt help me at all, just another video not explaining the basics!
This was a great guide. And calming. I was overwhelmed by trying to complete everything in the first year. Now I can take a breath and enjoy the game again.
A really useful tip is that you can place objects outside your farm, as long as its not in any NPCs way. Early game you can put chests down at your preferred fishing spots, which makes fishing way more convenient, or in the entrance to the mines. You can even put your smelters in there Slightly later (as early as midsummer of year 1) you can create massive tree plantations near the railway, or in the desert once you have the bus repaired. Later still you can basically decorate the entire town and valley according to your whims, and spread a lot of your industrial production into less travelled areas of the valley You can check the wiki for good safe spots for chests, but on one of the islands in the mountain lake or just behind the bait barrel next to Willys shop are excellent for fishing.
I just started playing SV and the algorithm introduced me to your shorts. Your enthusiasm and love you put into your videos is amazing! Seeing how much you improved from just one year ago to where you are now is truly inspiring and I'm excited to see where your journey is going ❤ Thanks for your hard work and please keep on giving us quality yt content ❤🎉

Super helpful! I just made it to year 2 but I like never mined, fished, or made friends 😅 I just farmed all day everyday. I’m starting a new game today with the idea of mixing it up and doing all the things.

I usually try to get my fishing as high as i can get it before the 5th of spring. Theres not much else to do and it helps a ton. I usually sell the fish i get other than the first of each amd i can buy food from willy to help with the fishing. Also i put chests everywhere, tge beach, river, mines, desert and tge volcano, everywhere. Also a its the first thing i craft and i have a separate one for quests, community center, geodes. One last thing i do is if i run out of energy i stand in the bed. Wait for the go to sleep pop up but dont press yes or no. It brings it up and you can do this from the start
Nice little video, good tips and info, I play this game right now (takin a break lol) the things I find that help the stores can sell large amounts of the ores and resources for building, so if you can sell a lot you can buy all the wood, stone, coal and ores as needed.
