Guys this is a experienced player's beginner's guide. All the info checks out, but is quite a lot to take on for a beginner. This is a lot of min maxing to get the most, the quickest. There is nothing wrong with this, this tends to be more how I play these days, for a first time Stardew player I would suggest that you slow down and smell the flowers basically. Stardew has no time limit, plant what you want (i would try to get a few of each crop at least for the community center), do some fishing, mining, animal care, find a local and rizz them up so you can make them wifu or hubby. I just worry you might focus so much on being efficent you lose interest in this great game. My first playthrough I didn't complete the community center until summer of the 3rd year. Make sure to take the game at whatever pace you enjoy. I didn't even touch the mines until winter my first year, spent all my time fishin and farming, because that is what interested me first.
Thank you for comment, I was questioning how much time I wasted ( I just started summer first year) and tons of stuff that I don't know, but I think I'll just take my time on every part of the game to understand it better
Thank you for saying this. I'm in Winter of my 1st year and won't be finishing the community center by 2nd or maybe even the 3rd year, but I enjoyed playing the game and learning through exploring and trail and error. This game allows you to take the pressure off since you won't die or anything lol
Great summary, but I think for most beginners you are quite a bit all over the place. I'd focus on 1 or 2 areas per season only. Still lovely guide though! Spring 1 = clearing Spring 2 - 12 = Getting level 80 in the mines (materials for sprinklers) + plant 200 potatoes and 50 parsnips + only fishing (I reached level 10 once, but 5 is enough) Spring 13 = Strawberry fest Spring 14-28 = getting more sprinklers + getting mine 120 + fishing + backpacks + prepping for summer. No wasting on animals or anything else. If you master this, the rest becomes easy after.
This is! Please don’t listen to people like the is if you are a new player. These people love to GRIND and make it as convoluted and difficult as possible. It doesn’t need to be. If you’re a beginner, TAKE YOUR TIME! ❤ This game is what you make it. Please don’t watch these kids of videos until like you said, your second play through.
Just focus on finishing the pantry bundle for the community center before winter so u don’t mess up any progress! As a beginner I was so bummed when I realized nothing grows during winter without the greenhouse 😭
@@Raine-97 it can be used to describe what im talking about tho. like beginner speedrunner, which a video like this can be used for. you can play stardew many times as you want but not know how to go about getting everything in one year, you would be a beginner in that.
Was introduced to this game at 15, never touched it until almost 9 years later. (23 yrs old now) and now I’ve bought the game on every platform I could (Phone, PC, Console) and have a new farm for each one. This guide has helped me a TON! I went in blind, not knowing ANYTHING about the game, and boy has it been a blast being a farmer! Well done guide. 🙌🏾
Big hack for hardwood. Pick the forest farm. Or, plant a mahogany seed on your farm and let it go wild, creating your personal hardwood forest. Lots of hardwood and foraging xp
Truly I have no idea how you got all that shit done in spring. I am playing the game for the very first time right now, and only got like 50 levels down in the mines by the time summer was over, and only completed like 2 bundles…. A more complete walkthrough on each season might be super useful as there were many things you skipped over that I was left questioning “what now?!”, haha. Or even if u streamed playing the ways you mention here, I’d love to watch it.
These youtubers have dumped hundreds of hours into this game and have started new farms many times lol! I just created my 2nd farm (nowhere near end game in my first) and still lagging behind compared to her playthrough lol. Seriously, I didn’t complete a lot of stuff until like year 3-4. But with my new save, I have the knowledge of what to do to get things done a lot quicker. Good luck!!
Please don’t compare yourself to these people! They have played this game for THOUSANDS of hours and know everything! I personally think they ruin the game for newbies… I’m not by any means, but the grind mentality is a turn off.
I was JUST coming to say the same thing that the other commenters did. If not for you then for anyone else who reads it. This game is meant to be relaxing. There are NO hard deadlines at all. None. Nothing happens if you don’t complete a board request. You can take 3, 5 or 10 years to complete the community center, and another year to complete the mines and literally nothing will happen. It took me a long time to get out of that mentality. There’s nothing in the game that won’t come back around again if you miss it. Take 2 days and do nothing but fish. Or just completely clear and reset up your farm. Or chop wood. Or talk to and gift presents to the villagers. You don’t need to do anything by a certain time. You don’t need to do everything the most efficient way possible. Once you have a farm that’s a few years old you will have figured out ways to do things that are the most efficient for YOU. Everyone’s playstyle is different and everyone has different goals and things they like about the game. Don’t worry too much about reaching perfection. You can have your farm evaluated for perfection ANY time after year 3. When I started my first playthrough I told myself to not take it too seriously and that it would be a practice run and I could always start a new farm once I understood the mechanics and everything. I’ve never restarted and I just play to relax. I’ll get there when I get there lol. If you don’t water your crops they don’t die- they just don’t grow that day so if you have an extra good luck day just skip the watering and go to the mines! I only went on days when my luck was super high and it made ALL the difference. I would aim for 5 floors per trip. If I did more than 5 I would go up and empty everything into a chest at the top and then continue but with only the goal of finding resources and not making level progress. I can tell you that a good luck day makes ALL The difference in the mines.
Open up the map of the valley on 2nd monitor, and make a test character and just explore the map without hurrying. Normal game can be stressful so exporing the map without time pressure will be easier. Then when you are ready, plan your day beforehand, then only do thise taksks and dont get sidetracked. You can restart the day by leaving to the main menu if you feel like you wasted a lot of time or got massively lost. Also, you dont have to do all of that, this advice is mostly to minmaxers, you can olay however you want.
Just take it day by day and don’t rush. If all you do is watch UA-camrs you’ll be like I was in the beginning and always rushing because you’ll want to be where they are. There are no hard deadlines or anything that you’ll miss. You don’t have to min/max it. I owned the game for years and would only ever barely start it because instead of a chill game it self super stressful and then I realized that I can play however I want lol I don’t enjoy min maxing and trying to make the most money as soon as possible. It’ll get done when I get it done I don’t care if it’s the most efficient or not I just want to play and relax. I had to read a comment like the one I’m posting now like 3 times before it finally clicked for me lol
@@SwedePotato314 Thanks, exactly what I needed to read. My brain is so wired to always get the BIS asap, when the whole reason I downloaded this game was to relax and take it easy just doing whatever I want and not feel like I have a 100 deadlines I impulsively have to commit to.. I just started and already restarted my save multiple times because I keep watching vids that feed my already intense pre existing FOMO🐵
Don't follow the speed youtuber already plays alot, you can just enjoy everyday bussiness, especially year 1, until you get used about everything, year 2 should be easier.
You are my first choice for Stardew Ezlily you never disappoint. Coming back into this game (yet again) after 2 years I find I have forgotten so much. Thanks for all your tips.
Quality sprinklers may be better, but I tried the normal ones for the first time recently, and having SUPER CHEAP sprinklers all set by the end of Spring year 1 was life changing. I may never use the expensive sprinklers again tbh. 1 copper bar, 1 silver bar, done. And having my first summer ahead of me with a medium field of auto-watered blueberries feels fantastic! I don't want animals until year 2, so I now have 3 entire seasons I can dedicate to skill maxing ❤
Basic sprinklers are pretty good though. Yeah their layout is funny but they are cheap and easy to get early on so you can devote that energy to other things like the mines and fishing.
I start diffrently. I plant 13 parsnips and sell 2 seeds. This is enough for farming level 1. (I might buy 1 seed of peas, caulieflower for the bundle, but no more, crows starts showing up if you plant more then 15 seeds total on your savefile) I clear a way for the north and south exit of my farm, this produces enough materials for a chest or two (don't bother removing all stumps from the trees you cut, low gain vs energy used). I then head south with my hoe at 11 o clock. Meet all the npcs along the way. Then i go to the beach, (focus on trying to get all npcs except Willy (and the Wizard)). Look for forageables, worms or thin waving grass on the ground to hoe for artifacts or carrots (carrots are fantastic, 75 energy and takes only 3 days to grow). Then go to the museum, clint, jojo mart, back down to the middle of town (buy seeds now if needed and talk with pierre), then to the house with the old couple, go past the community senter north, meet the hobo and talk with sebastian at 7 o clock. Head back home. Do what you can with the rest of the day, like clear your farm for bushes and hope you get mixed seeds or/and clear some more trees to get enough for a chest to bring with you when fishing (you can also go and pick up leeks). If you found alot of dafodills. You can use em to get the blue haired tea girl or haylei happy, and give linus/hobo a foraged food. Linus got great gifts to you when you get hearts with him. And thr tea sapplings recipie from the blue haired girl is great aswell. Day 2 you read the mail, (think it always rains on day 2, so no need to water) maybe get spring onions and run to the beach With your hoe and a chest. Then you fish until you get level 2 fishing, selll enough fish to willy so you can get the glass fiber rod and a handfull of bait. Go fish near the mine or if you feel lucky, fish outside hayleis house for Catfish, hard to catch buy is worth alot of cash. Easier to gain kevels by heading to the lake near the mines and get perfect catches on chubs (chubs are better to eat instead of selling). The next days i wil just fish alot until the mine get unlocked. You can do alot of diffrent smart choises between day 3 and 5. Like if you got alot of catfish, head to flint, buy 1 copper ore to unlock the furnace recipe event at day 4, if you got fishing level 5 during day 3, you get 20% more cash for the catfish you stored. With this money, you buy enough materials to make 1 or 2 furnaces. Buy copper to make enough bars to upgrade your pickaxe to copper. Really nice to have on day 5 when the mine opens. Etc. Etc. Try making some ideas and try em? Like trying yo get the house upgrade asap, so you can make sashimi if you get 2 hearts with linus. Turning all your bad fish into 75 energy food worth 75 gold a piece.
this tutorial is perfect for a perfectionist with no attention span like me. i always struggle committing to a farm cause i tend to forget stuff and have to wait a whole year just to do it, which locks me out of other things and leaves me bored. usually i just end up making a new save and not even getting past year 2. ill try to commit to a save with this guide
I had a couple of false starts this year and am resisting starting another file until 1.6 comes out. Now a bunch of "new file" tutorials are coming out in December. Getting so many ideas...
I've found that putting tappers on the trees in the backwoods and near the bus station is less frustrating than trying to work around tapped trees on the farm.
You recommend to skip "Basic Sprinklers", but in the Summer playthrough we see a lot of them? Whats the reason? Are some pretty good to skip watering 200 plants each day?
1:50 you have until saturday to fix the bridge to get all the corals before they reset wouldnt do it on day 2 day 2-4 fish day 5+ go mines unless if its raining fish :P
Yep! The first paythrough I had NO idea. I didn't know what that "wiki" was. OH! The INSTRUCTIONS....Thank you. 10th game; I start and set up my farm with machinery. I expand the house to take IN all the machinery so I can pass out in my house every night without penalty. I did not know steps=rain, and wondered why it rained so infrequently after I got transportation.....decide to walk when you have time. Thanks for your help!
I'm completely new to the game and I'm currently in my first casual playthrough. I'm amazed by what you already accomplished in your first spring and summer! I'm nowhere near the lvls you managed to reach after spring :p By the time I'm done watering my crops, it's 12 PM already. Not so much time to do a lot of other stuff so by the time I'm at the mines for example, I only managed to go to the next 5 - 6 levels. How do you do everything so fast? I'm also not really focused on gifting as I don't really like that part of the game. Is that fine in the beginning?
If ur playing casually then how fast u finish stuff doesnt matter too much because theres so much time in stardew to complete stuff. If u dont like gifting now dont worry abt it. If someone was specifically min-maxing and trying to reach max hearts as soon as possible like before the end of year one and two then they would havw to start gifting immediately but if ur just playing it casually then it doesnt matter :)
I think I really suck at this game. I’m in fall of my first play through and I’m only on floor 105 of the mines, I have some bundles done at the community center but I’ve only been over 10k gold twice and I immediately had to upgrade my tools so I won’t be getting any of the vault bundles any time soon. I’m always broke. I didn’t get my rarecrow for donating 20 artifacts to the museum for some reason. I have like 6 villagers with 0 hearts because I just don’t have enough time in the day to find them all and talk to them and give them gifts and sometimes when I do they hate it lol I’m trying to do it as a relaxed playthrough with minimal wiki help and I’m doing it on console so no mods. But man it is HARD to get everything right. 9 times out of 10 I forget to even look for the traveling cart. I’m just not good at this game lol I’m really hoping by year 2 or 3 I have a better base of money, more ways of getting income, more automated farming so I’m not spending 2 hours every morning watering the crops that aren’t being covered by the quality sprinklers. After winter when everything dies I will reset my field to be better optimized so I don’t have to water hardly anything. But I had some fairy roses by my bee hives and I only got one fairy rose honey before I accidentally picked the flower while trying to water it. I’m just feeling really far behind.
Getting sprinkles as fast as possible is a little bit difficult and unrealistic so i suggest upgrading your watering can to Copper at least is just 2,000 gold and it really worth it
Watching this stresses me out. Like am i supposed to be doing it like this and feel rushed? Or should i just take my own time but wait for a year if i miss out on stuff. Oh the dilemma is real! 😭😭
@@faza6988 Just take your time! The best part of Stardew is that while yes, there’s tons of information and things you won’t understand for a while, but there are no deadlines for anything! The game is very forgiving and anything you don’t do in time will come back around next year. It’s much more enjoyable to play at your own pace and take your time exploring/learning everything than it is to rush yourself and feel overwhelmed and stressed
for the Quality Bundle. you don't need to wait til Autumn to get gold star pumpkin. you can finish it in Summer by give 5 of Gold star Melon and Corn instead.
also in my case I play with remixbundles. this one get replace by rare crops bundle ( required 1 Ancient Fruit or Sweet Gem Berry ) for 3 game save in row that's make me cried . YoY
Hearing things like “everyone knows this” and doing the exact opposite is mind boggling. Just got the game on steam sale and have pretty much wasted spring. Pray for me

this tutorial is perfect for a perfectionist with no attention span like me. i always struggle committing to a farm cause i tend to forget stuff and have to wait a whole year just to do it, which locks me out of other things and leaves me bored. usually i just end up making a new save and not even getting past year 2. ill try to commit to a save with this guide
I had a couple of false starts this year and am resisting starting another file until 1.6 comes out. Now a bunch of "new file" tutorials are coming out in December. Getting so many ideas...
Seems more like a "so you're beginning your 3rd farm, Year 1 Guide" 😅
Girl you go super fast with every goal in this game :o I'll take your advice, but aty own pace ;)
I've found that putting tappers on the trees in the backwoods and near the bus station is less frustrating than trying to work around tapped trees on the farm.
i knew i needed to watch this from the beginning when you started chopping trees. i thought the base axe wouldnt get through big trees...
3:24 "My goals are beyond your understanding."
You recommend to skip "Basic Sprinklers", but in the Summer playthrough we see a lot of them? Whats the reason? Are some pretty good to skip watering 200 plants each day?
Those were definitely quality sprinklers, not basic
2:30 "just remember to keep one of them" *proceeds to sell everything*
she probably did it before showing us, that's why
1:50 you have until saturday to fix the bridge to get all the corals before they reset wouldnt do it on day 2
day 2-4 fish
day 5+ go mines unless if its raining fish :P
I hate how every Stardew guide is overwhelming with information. I am actually a beginner and so much of this is advanced beyond my understanding
BEST GUIDE EVERRRRRR🎉🎉🎉🎉And have a merry Christmas 😊
Glad it helped! 🌸
@@ezlilyywhy you ignoring my comments😢
19:50 + you need a sturgeon fish pond if you want to get caviar for the missing bundle!
I just finished this and I feel like i did everything wrong hahaha
Happy to help 🌸🌸
Thank you my first playthrough went swimmingly with your help! Thank You
What did I get myself into buying this game yall this shit goes DEEP
I must be missing something because I can not do this much stuff in that amount of time
I'm completely new to the game and I'm currently in my first casual playthrough.
The music was a bit loud over your voice. But a very good guide. Ty.
Thanks for watching 💙
What if I started but it’s going super slow is there any way to save it by using the tips? This is also my very first time ever touching the game
ohhh this was very helpful!!! ✨❤
Idk where you’re getting the money to do all of this
I think I really suck at this game.
There is no real fixed standard to playing Stardew! Every farmer has good and bad seasons💜
@@ezlilyy thank you 💕 that was very sweet of you and you’re right. Every game gets easier the more you play it.
dude i’m failing so hard i thought i was doing ok until i watched this 😭
Getting sprinkles as fast as possible is a little bit difficult and unrealistic so i suggest upgrading your watering can to Copper at least is just 2,000 gold and it really worth it
Is this guide still good if you re doing joja route?
On my first playthrough i only decided to get perfect part way through the second year... Managed to finish spring on my 3rd year.
I bought my rabbits foot at the merchant for a thousand dollars
27:25 you were trying to get silver?
Probably ment iron
How do get enough energy for the wood on day 3?
I love your vids lily. What is your PC specs?
Thanks for the subtitles
how did your skills go up so high between 28 spring and 1 summer?
I didn’t get community center cutscene until the end of spring lol
I even need a tutorial how to work the control. Game should not be so stressful like this lol
Haha 🌸
Your voice is the best sound I've ever heard
Is the song at the beginning of the nintendogs shop music? Sounds soooo familiar
for the Quality Bundle. you don't need to wait til Autumn to get gold star pumpkin.
you can finish it in Summer by give 5 of Gold star Melon and Corn instead.
also in my case I play with remixbundles. this one get replace by rare crops bundle ( required 1 Ancient Fruit or Sweet Gem Berry ) for 3 game save in row that's make me cried . YoY
Just have fun and learn the game and complete the community centre in year 2.
What you do when that time you forgot the poppy flower?
Hearing things like “everyone knows this” and doing the exact opposite is mind boggling. Just got the game on steam sale and have pretty much wasted spring. Pray for me
don't mind me...just jamming to the songs in the background
I like your voice 😂
I didn’t get all my spring crops and it’s summer now 😭💔
Music and voice volume levels are stressing me out
that music is really loud lol
I’m on year 2 ill put what I did in replies but you should tell me what you did by year 2 if you want
I got: married, my cat loves me, I have 2 cows, still cant get past floor 18 in the normal mines
Where do you get all this money buy big coop and big barn I'm still broke after spring even I sold all crops at Pierre.. and fishing I hate it
Well there’s your problem. She clearly stated to fish a lot.
I accidentally deleted my year 7 save file 😢
RIP. Try one of the new farm plots
Any of this changed since 1.6? It has to have.
10:19 why did you do this.
I just started the game and amin the middle of summer and cant even afford a coop, how is this playthrough even realistic for someone that is figuring the game???
You’re supposed to be mining and fish for money, while waiting for crops to mature. Just listen to the video dude. It’s not hard.
I dont have tapers yet and im at 30 days in the game
in 15 days i reach 120 in tha mine and also in the community center the fish tank is so hard af
You should give roots of pacha a try
Im at winter 13 year 1 and only made 400k total so far
Where is your accent from
I'm from South Africa 🌸
Did anyone take. notes, I can't remember all of this 🙂
That's alright 💜 you can always rewatch the video! 😂
I learned much from this but i aldready finished 1 year
Money🦀
I think I missed a step I accidentally married Haley on summer 7 💀
you are great
Blud just spawned in a better sword
I have no clue what is going on in this video, is this even the same game i bought
this game is the same as Rogue Legend: Tame the Wild
Way to many times I hear as quickly as possible. How to decide which has higher priority
Music was so loud
Beginner guide, but you make ZERO mention of where this bridge is that we are supposed to fix.. ugh.. now to google because your video is vague.. *reads the rest of the comments* yea, its obvious you don't understand "Beginner"
You really love this game huh...
take it slow and enjoy the game
This is so stressful
This is 100% not a beginner guide and that title needs to be changed. Im a beginner and everything you're throwing at me, I literally do not understand. This seems like you're trying to get stuff done as fast as possible. Thats not what a beginner should be learning.
First....hehehehe
Me 2
This ain't no chill or cozy game
MUST. MAX. PROFITS.
And i thought i was minmaxy
I came back to this video because @DenitslavaMakeup sounds so similar, I had to make sure and double check the difference 😅❤ love u
