Khaled fukin sucks for sure. You have absolutely no idea wtf you are talking about when it comes to DJing. Technology has made it where a lot of wanna be's can pretend to be DJs. They can have shadow producers if someone wants to pretend to be DJ/Producer. The modern EDM scene is full of no talent hacks like this. I mean, even Paris Hilton toured as a DJ. She would literally have to have people who actually knew what to do come up and straighten her set up when she bout had it off the rails. People like Hilton, Khaled, and a large majority of current big name EDM DJ's are just press play DJs. The tech today makes it where you can literally pre load the tracks in order or even pre load an entire pre mixed set and all you gotta do is pretend to twist some knobs and do dumbshit like stand up and throw cakes or whatever you want into the crowd. These are not real DJs. Festivals and giant super clubs enabled the rise of all the press play DJs because anybody can stand there and press play on a pre-mixed dj set and fist pump and pretend to twist knows. Real DJing takes actual skill, talent, dedication, and ability. CDjs are cool. I remeber when CDJs first came out. They helped touring DJs by making it easier to travel with the music they play. Think of how much easier it is to carry a book full of CDs than a bunch of crates filled with vinyl records that will literally melt and warp if they get to hot. Think of how much easier it is to just have a hard drive you plug in that has thousands and thousands of tracks and pre-mixed sets on them.if you want to see what real DJs can do, then watch or go see DJs who play vinyl sets. See DJs had to tote crates of vinyl around and had to beat match and mix each track manually. And I promise you this takes musical talent and ability. You had to use headphones to line up the next track with the current track that's being played. If you fuck it up then it will not sound pretty when you start sliding over to the next track. Two tracks that the beat matching is off on will literally make you grind your teeth when it happens on a big sound system. Djs need to be able to read a room and make adjustments on the fly as well. The DJ scene started going sideways when the focus went from the music to the DJ himself. Even the biggest Djs back in the day would not usually be on a big stage and be the main focal point. They would be up close to the crowd and played in much more ambient of dimly lit areas as opposed to the giant elaborate stage set ups that come with the modern festival scene. Watching guys like Derrick Carter play on 4 decks or Sasha and Digweed and others playing 12 hour plus marathon vinyl sets is something g to see. Like with every genre nowadays you have the Pop version and the mostly underground version. Real DJs are gett8ng harder to come by but there are still plenty out there holding it down properly.
DJ Khaled's talent is that he is able to bring lots of talented people who wouldn't normally work together into a room and get them to make something really good that makes a lot of money for everyone involved. People hate him because he's not an 'Artist' however he would do well in any industry he works in purely because of his people skills and energy. This guy has the energy that could make him the CEO of any major bank if he wants to.
The difference between DJ Khaled and Tyler The Creator is that Khaled makes music that gets shoveled in your face whether you want to hear it or not; Tyler makes music that you WANT to seek out for yourself, be it out of curiosity or actual enjoyment. I wouldn't be surprised if Khaled got his airplay from radio payola.
DJ Khalid saying he makes mainstream basic music is hilarious like we aren't Starbucks bitches of course nobody was playing that crap we are human beings with individuality and Tyler speaks to that and doesn't stray away from it. Khalid creates music for clones. Tyler makes music for people. Simple as that

12:17 It's called pop music. There's plenty of INSANELY good music that would never even be CONSIDERED to be put on the radio, played in a club, or even at a private party. You'd think someone who consideres themselves an "artist" would understand there's different types of music- Club
The biggest insight into DJ Khaled for me came on the Hot Ones w/Sean Evans interview. Now I'm not taking away from people who throw in the towel on finishing all the wings off... at the end of the day if you don't want to you don't have to and I'm sure its pretty frigging spicy. However with Khaled it wasn't simply him pulling out and not wanting to finish off all the wings... it was the elaborate pitch he put out when he did so. I dont know if he was trying to save face or divert the attention from him "quitting", but the rant he went on really gave me a better insight into his character. He was so hell bent on twisting the narrative to be a win for him and assert that he's still "the best" that he came across as a bit sad to me. Instead of having the confidence to just say "damn these are hot as hell I don't want to do this" he had to go so over the top that he tried to teach Sean Evans a life lesson on knowing when the right time to call it quits is and how that plays into being a "winner". The part about focusing on his "health" and his rant about how "dangerous" the spice levels were are comical now that you see all the top tier celebrity men, women, young, and old that have just had fun with it and powered through. Be wary of the one who uses way too many words and spins a narrative to convey something that could simply be put to bed with a confident one-sentence statement. They usually are overcompensating for something.

The immigrant story of only having "$20 to their name" think for a second. How can one survive in america with only $20? Sex work maybe? Or just lies...where did they get clothes to sell in the first place? Where did they get the car from? How come they didnt starve to death or die of thirst?
Are you dumb? That means that after they arrived they only had $20. If they’re that poor they’re gonna be selling their own clothes/ upselling discount store clothes and etc. Just because you’re ignorant American brain can’t expand to think that other people have had significantly more difficult lives than you doesn’t mean that their stories aren’t true. Also let’s use some logic bc there’s this little thing called INFLATION and ya know the INTERNET. And surprise surprise when these people who are in their mid to late 40s immigrated here during the 20th century when things were much cheaper and the internet was damn near non-existent. So yes it’s very plausible that that happened. Also the places these people immigrate to are heavily populated with other immigrants and minorities which they more than likely received help from. Maybe let’s try some cognitive thinking before dismissing people’s life stories and accusing them of prostitution…
There is a significant Arab and East Indian population in my state, including ex-Gov Bobby Jindal (the sh*t stain of our state), who is of East Indian descent.
Maybe illegal immigrants because they come here usually with just the clothes on their backs 'cause sometimes they attempt to swim to shore or smugglers on jetskis try to take them to the border ( yes, really) . Almost everybody I know has immigrant parents or is an immigrant, like my parents. They came here legally and they might not've had a lot, but they probably had more than $20.

But, it's worse for him because no one wants to hear him yelling, repeating the same thing, and interrupting the artists at the worse time which ruined so many performances. Nip's tribute was the perfect example that shows how he's all about himself, and makes himself the center focus when Nip was supposed to be but he took that away from him, John Legend, and Marsha Ambrosius who were both genuine in their performance honoring him. Plus, the man who sported headphones as a constant promotion is the same man who then replaced them with his son and used him as a prop.

Another one 🙏
To be fair, most bosses arent very talented, they just knew the right people at the right time to get ahead. Thats Life, its not about being fair.
I honestly don’t think that anyone hates him. It’s that people just don’t care. It’s that simple.
They usually are overcompensating for something.

yeah those are lies... here in italy maybe yes but in the US is a lie
Maybe they had family here to help them out or some sort agency

But, it's worse for him because no one wants to hear him yelling, repeating the same thing, and interrupting the artists at the worse time which ruined so many performances. Nip's tribute was the perfect example that shows how he's all about himself, and makes himself the center focus when Nip was supposed to be but he took that away from him, John Legend, and Marsha Ambrosius who were both genuine in their performance honoring him.
