yall j cole fans are delusional. hip hop as a whole lost a ton of respect for j cole over the last few months. just because suburban white kids or core j cole stans haven’t doesn’t mean the rest of hip hop feels the same.
I’ll never understand this argument 😖 People have been screaming that Cole folded when in reality KENDRICK HIMSELF said on Euphoria “This ain’t been about critics, not bout gimmicks, not about who the greatest. It’s always been about love and hate” So why tf would yall say he non respected when the whole beef was for Aubrey & Kendrick. Cole got caught in the cross fire & he realized that. Yall internet ppl irritate me
You gotta look into the age and knowledge demography of the fans who are saying this shit. Most of the are kids and casuals, and most didnt even knew these artist before the big hit and shit that are now buying into this hyped up beef. This beef is extremely mainstream or else people would have already lost respect for drake years ago when meek exposed him and pusha slaughtered him in 2018. The mainstream attracts these uneducated fans who just hype up bullshit that they have no idea about and thus shitting on cole as they thrive on this drama.
I mean even with some of his misses this year, he is still my favorite rapper and has been for nearly a decade. He is not perfect, but I never asked him to be.
Many people in the comments that are talking negatively about Cole doesn’t understand the type of person he is. He’s the type of person who’s humble and has morals. Of that fact alone he’s a good role model in the industry. I have much respect for him. He realized that the beef wasn’t directed towards him. So he apologized and made his peace and kept it moving.
It would have been better if Cole didn't release 7-min Drill at all. That is true. That said, I respect him a lot for what he said at the show and for pulling the track. People these days only want to see blood. People don't want to see anything resembling "weakness" in their heroes. But he did it anyway. Good on J Cole for doing what he felt was right, and disengaging.
I dont understand how a silly feature he made for fun means hip hop doesn't respect him. That consensus big three at the center of this recent beef includes Cole. Disappointed in louaista for delving in such clickbaity titles.
it was the timing of it that did it, I think he should've put a stop to the release of Grippy and instead waited for the song by Tems which was featured on to be released first then after that Grippy could be released,

Cole is still one of the toughest rappers, bro just didn’t want to get wrapped up in beef that interfered with his creativity. Makes sense to me, people just want “blood” as he puts it, and honestly it’s shameful considering how great he is as a rapper and what he’s done for people in his community.
Cole getting the best rapper of the year nod over Nas in 2023 was so stupid. Within the same year, that man completed two trilogies, celebrated HipHop's birthday with concerts, and many other things.
I aint gon lie , at first, I thought the apology was really lame , but afterward , in hindsight, this was the best play for Cole. His turn around shows maturity and growth. He wasn't gonna diss someone he truly had love and respect for in the first place. Kudos to Cole, that mixtape was fire none the less.
To be a rapper thou must: 1. Not being positive. Always talk about drugs, girls and guns. Talk about peace and love is consider corny 2. Don't be corny 3. Don't apologize because apologize is lame eventhough some of rapper's music inspired people to kill other people because of their music. Apology is the lamest term for being human 4. You can rap anything with no lyrical meaning but good beats. Let the beat carry the music. Such as pop rock and so on. Hip hop is dame genre as them 5. Diss until that other person quit rapping. Regards: "So called hiphop fans"
J. Cole is still great, heck me and him even share a birthday, haha. But getting back on track, sure he was a little bit involved in the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, but he eventually realized that it wasn't worth throwing himself in the ruckus between them. Him being self aware is what makes him one of the best rappers of all time, and don't hate me for saying this, but not many rappers has the same self awareness level like J. Cole.
I can totally understand why Cole decided to bow down from that beef. It got way too personal to the point where the image of the loser is ruined for a very long time to come. He probably featured in We Still Don't Trust You because of fans pressuring him for his withdrawal.
For all the jcole fans in here saying dude to delete this video.... Is your fault... you hyped up Jermaine to act this way, so now, stand by your guy.... J Cole would’ve kept going back & forth ,but was told by Schoolboy Q not to participate bcoz what was going on between Kendrick & Drake was personal and that’s why he apologised
If some hip-hop fan lost respect for Cole, then he/she definitely has no right to continue listening to hip-hop tracks Because that person is just so immature omg
Not even going to bother watching the video. Its either click bait or completely out of touch. Why anyone would honestly believe J Cole would smoke anyone on the mic is beyond me. He has the skill but he's just too nice of a person. Look at how he dealt with Lil pump. By all rights Cole could have absolutely clowned that man and everyone would have applauded
I use to think that J Cole was a coward for this, but now, I'm actually glad that J Cole backed out of the beef because I'm going to tell you guys this right now. Drake is living his worst life possible right now because of this beef. Kendrick's got millions of people dancing to his diss tracks against him, and they are clowning the shit out of Drake more than they ever did before. It's a good thing J Cole got out of dodge. Plus, he knew that there was actual beef between the 2. It wasn't a friendly rap competition. They were in it for the kill, and Cole could see that coming. I honestly think that Kendrick is better than J Cole, but J Cole is still one of my favorite rappers.

Disrespecting Cole while choosing to respect two people willing to crash out for recognition proves that this society will never be advanced enough to thrive on anything that isn’t negativity.
He dropped it, a was smart enough to bow out!! They tried to cruisify him, but turned and said that was the smartest move in hip hop to date.

I could never hate or disrespect the great human being/artist that is Jermaine Cole. If anything I respect him more after all this.
I would say the perspective of Cole changed, but he is still well respected
How do you see someone differently but still have respect. The 2 doesn't seem to live in the same place.

I dont understand how a silly feature he made for fun means hip hop doesn't respect him. That consensus big three at the center of this recent beef includes Cole. Disappointed in louaista for delving in such clickbaity titles.
it was the timing of it that did it, I think he should've put a stop to the release of Grippy and instead waited for the song by Tems which was featured on to be released first then after that Grippy could be released,
@@anthonytparkbut grippy isn’t even his song, I doubt cole is that kind of guy to tell others when to release their songs just because it looks for better himself.
@@MrASAPAB but usually artists who are top like Cole have the power to pull out the approval of the feature but like you said cole is not that kind of the guy...however my point is still the same it was the timing of it, at that moment it was a matter of pulling chess moves for Kendrick, Cole and Drake , but Cole chose a wrong move by not pulling out of the feature or stalling

To be a rapper thou must:
1. Not being positive. Always talk about drugs, girls and guns. Talk about peace and love is consider corny
2. Don't be corny
3. Don't apologize because apologize is lame eventhough some of rapper's music inspired people to kill other people because of their music. Apology is the lamest term for being human
4. You can rap anything with no lyrical meaning but good beats. Let the beat carry the music. Such as pop rock and so on. Hip hop is dame genre as them
5. Diss until that other person quit rapping.
