In 1989 Billy idol held a 3-week-long party at a thailand hotel. He apparently caused $160,000 in damage and the military had to tranquilize them to get him out of the room. Fucking legend.
Billy is from the original London punk scene. He was a legend before his solo career. This was early MTV, and helped usher in a second British invasion of music artists into the US. Steve Stevens on guitar!
Yep, he was even in a band called Generation X. One of the songs they had was Dancing With Myself, which Billy basically made a cover of when he went solo. The only difference between those versions of the songs are in the Gen. X version it had more rough punk guitar riffs and the ending is different.
I was only age 6-7when this 1st came out. So, even though I enjoyed it, I didn’t get to really enjoy for quite a few yrs later. 😉🥰 I’m lucky enough to have an older brother who graduated in 88. So I got to not only hear his & his friends boom 💥 boxes with all the best metal etc etc. But MTV was still Music Television! Myself & my friends would have a wILd time listening to all the best hits /genres at sleepovers. God I miss the late 80’s! Great reaction! ❤️✌️👍
ArianaGrandeisqueen you got me. It's a little known fact that Billy had a phobia about airplanes flown by guys called Ronald. It just happened that the plane I caught was piloted by Capt Ron Jeremy and there was no way Billy was hopping on that plane!
Billy Idol is my favorite.. my dad is a huge 80’s fanatic. He’s cute with that infamous snarl face expression.. I learned about the 80’s through my parents
Billy was THE MAN back in the early and mid-80’s. I saw him live earlier this year (pre-Covid) and he was amazing. He’s in his 60’s now but he is in amazing shape. Steve Stevens (the guitarist) was with him too and it was so good to see these two legends back on stage together.
I actually was at a Billy Idol concert around 1988 and it was FANTASTIC. Couldn't be still (me). Billy and band rocked hard. One of my best concerts ever.
Love the need to pause, to catch your breath and the low key side eye! I saw him in concert, and I was like.....I can't EVEN!!! So happy I was there in the 80s to experience all the amazing music. It's STILL my favorite genre.

Yep, ladies. . The song came out in 1983. Such fun. Oh, the memories of that time period. Billy is cute, isn't he. He aged well too. He is still touring. Check out "White Wedding"
Ah the 80's what a glorious time to live in. You could wear what you wanted, dressed and experiment as you liked. And the music, was all new, and everyone loved it. Was a great time to live in. This is Billy Idol in his prime, glad you both like it.

Hello there pretty ladies how could anyone not look love billy idol he can rock it so much positive energy in all his songs and that guitarist is fabulous
Freddie Mercury once asked "Is Billy Idol just doing a bad Elvis pout, or was he born that way? William Michael Albert Broad is his real name & he named Elvis as one of many of his biggest influences.
I worked in a nightclub during his Generation X days, and their Dancing With Myself was a big hit at the time. I'd have to mop up the spilt beer on the dancefloor throughout the night, and I'd get out there and dance with my mop when Dancing With Myself came on.
This artist came along just when I thought hard rock was declining. I was spoiled in the 70's with a huge number of hard rock bands. So when MTV first came out this really caught my attention. Great performance !!
Big credit to you both on the Elvis reference because I have seen other reactors that didn’t pick up on that. Elvis was his IDOL. I think this came out in ‘83. I was in college dancing my ass off in the many bars of Chico, California to this song. It packed the dance floor immediately! Dancing to 80s music was my aerobic exorcise back then. Came home soaking wet! For more 80s Music I recommend the B52s...... Love Shack, Private Idaho, Rock Lobster.
Man i grew up on stuff like this back in the 80's :)....Billy Idol deserve more cred and he's still AWESOME live. Heck hes all of us grandpa but is ripped.
GODDAMN BILLY IDOL!!!! I absolutely love this song! He's one of my very earliest influences to get me into rock music! Definitely do more of this legend!!
Hahahaha, I have never seen you two so animated and energized on ANY song before this one! But that is cool cos this song deserves it! It's one of my fave 80s hit and probably my top fave of Billy Idol, tied with White Wedding... the guitar solo on this song is amazing.

Flesh Forr Fantasy (Below The Melt Mix) Do Not Stand In The Shadows, Eyes Without A Face, Blue Highway & Cradle Of Love are all great songs by Billy Idol. Steve Stevens, one of the most underrated guitarists in history.
Really not underrated by many famous guitarists !
His song Atomic Playboys was a good jam too

Same. Was listening to some 'old' R. Stones, n damn, the realization the song is 55+ yrs! Good Lord! Dios Santos! Me darn ancient.
Yeah, as an organic pain collector I remember jaming to this on the radio and MTV
