I actually do like red rollers (not azure rollers though, not a fan of the blue) on Teddy Buggy, Biddybuggy, Mr Scooty and Pipe Frame....but in general yea its way too small. GLA Tires are the best mix of being good and looking solid...mainly cause theyre just normal tires so its hard to screw up the looks. Rollers on Bikes though.....oh god yea please give me GLAs
I love the feel of inside drift bikes in mk8 but unfortunately i think karts are just Better in this game 💔. It makes it even more satisfying when i win with inside drift tho

FINALLY!!! About TIME somebody makes a shortcut tutorial with inside drift ive been looking for this for AGES Inside drift imo is WAY better than outward cuz how fun and rewarding it is
OH and for Pirahna plant cove I recommend instead of tricking off the ledge before diving into the water, start a drift and hold all the way till you touch the ground. You will charge an SMT or UMT as you descend and makes good recovery
Actually just figured out this combo was viable and have started to use it (with my boy Diddy Kong) I have always used inside drift but Link/Master Cycle used to be my main. However, I am getting to the VR where I need a more meta combo and Comet/GLA seems to work well, while still being fashionable.
yes lol, i was playing funky kong with comet and rollers and i got really bored, so i watched a video where a guy had as a partner a high elo diddy kong with yoshi bike rollers getting n1 in almost all the video and i had to test it out, rn im playing diddy kong with sport bike rollers and cloud glider, it just feels like heaven lol
I like using leaf/button with your combo, since i also agree rollers look stupid, but also because you have more anti-gravity speed, which in my opinion is more useful than high underwater speed
Big Blue has another wild shortcut in the second lap where you drift off the track twice. I saw it in a Shortcat video and I was able to do it easily with the Master Cycle, so it's definitely possible with inside drift.
Im struggling so much with the DK mountain shortcut and the double gap jump on dk summit although the other day I successfully did the mushroom gorge gap jump and it was very clean
Get into MK8 again recently, and I mostly play inward since I got into the game again so the video help. As for piranha plant cove, There a to take the water shortcuts better. For the first water dive, driftt to the right before jump going inside the water while in the middle and drift on top of the orange rock and release it after drifting on it a bit just to align yourself For the second one which is right after, just do the same thing and drift from the middle and what you want to do is collide with the big rock right after the darker stone which will let you activate your mini-turbo
nice video, it's nice to see inside drift content, for shortcuts you also have shroomless shortcuts on donut plains 3, a nice cut on jungle dk before the glider, and an optimal way to do coconut mall and sky garden's cuts. keep it up!

I'll let that comment about roller wheels slide because dang am I happy to finally see some good inside drift gameplay out here. Not only do I think it's crazy underrated but when people do use it it's usually outwards drift players doing a challenge video or something and they commonly make the mistake of taking wide turns like they would with a regular kart, making inside drift look worse and harder to control than it really is. But anyways roller wheels are goated and I refuse to believe otherwise
Anode, quick question. Does starting a blue or yellow drift boost while youre already boosting from a purple drift boost reset the boost duration or does it add on to the end of the purple drift boost?
He probably just wanted higher speed over mini-turbo. it's pretty similar to Medium Mii/Teddy Buggy/GLA Tires/Paper Glider, which is not a bad combo, or maybe he just likes the look of it more
For 3DS Toad Circuit, something I like to do for safety is to start the cut a little late and cut between the middle of the pipes rather than the wall and the pipes, it reduces the chances of just flying into the wall afterwards for me

Rollers look okay on a few of the sillier looking carts (though I’m not sure why people prefer azure over normal rollers)

Imo I use outside coz it don't feel as good as wii. It doesn't look like it but outside drifts tighter and also inside goes outside for a second

DK Mountain was pretty awkward because of the camera but when I first played it I managed to get it on lap 2.
I also use the Mercedes wheels like you.
I hate how azure rollers work, but with the combo regular rollers look just as good in my opinion
